The journey from the North had taken a bit longer than she had wanted. When the snow began to disappear from the ground, Chepi couldn't help but slow down, and wander about in awe - she had never really seen the ground covered in green before. And all the different plants! So many of them, all with names she hardly knew. Even the earth smelled differently here. Why had her family never traveled south before?

The earthen female made a lazy zigzag path down toward the southern part of the island. It wasn't long before she caught the scent of water - a giant source of water, too. Ears perked up, as did her stride. She came across a stream, first, a mere tributary. Her pace became faster and faster as she traveled upstream, wanting to see the source oh so very badly. Pink tongue began to loll, not yet used to the different climate. She was thirsty, but refused to stop until the river was in sight.

And what a majestic sight it was. Here, the river split into smaller streams; the water seemed calm, and absolutely beautiful. Small paws nearly pranced closer to the shore, black nose in the air. The smell was amazing; it was warm and inviting. Claws sunk into the mud as she paused to drink, lapping zealously at the cool liquid. When satiated, she lifted her chin from the water's surface, gazing down, admiring the grace.

"Thank you," she whispered, the hair along her neck and spine raising a bit. She had never felt so exhilarated!

The odd colored male pranced around in the forestry of the wood. He refused to grow up in any way, even though this was the time of his life where he should be stepping up for himself and taking a good amount of responsibility for his survival. Of course he had done this when he was a year old, running away from home to live life alone, but he was in no way taking it seriously. He knew how to survive, what it was like to be alone. He knew how to feel lonely. But he refused to grow up and become a real figure.

He still pranced around as a pup, jumping an the dead bugs and hopping into the bushes pretending to hide from a predator wolf. His nose hit the air of a scent of water, and though he was not thirsty, his paws escaped the bushes and he started trotting along a hidden path to the refreshing river. What could be more fun than taking a splash into the chilly water?

His stride slowed to a walk as the river came in sight, and his eyes looked over the bank to see his own reflection on the surface, distorted from the flow. And he couldn't help but smile at his appearance. A clever and handsome fellow he was, he sure thought it too. He knew his devilish looks could break any dame around these parts, but was that too mature for him? He didn't like girls anyway, why after his mother beat him just about everyday, who would?

The mirror of his own image was interrupted by a paw punching into the water, a thought of his parents slipping his mind. His body turning as his tail flew over the surface. And then walking just a little downstream, his legs took control and leaped into the air as his ribs splashed into the rush of liquid. The water was too deep for him to teach the bottom, and so his paws struggled to keep him above. But soon enough the hit the rocky floor and his paws splashed at the surface as his maw let out a small chuckle. His leg traveled down stream, and up ahead his swirling eyes saw as the river broke into many different paths. But his eyes caught something else, an earth-toned wolf, an earth-toned female. But not knowing what else to do, he pranced over to the bank and hopped up the side. His body shook before looking over at the girl staring down at her reflection. His head was low, water still dripping off his long fur, but his body shifted and he started galloping over to her. He halted beside her, holding his head high trying to look down at the girl.

"Um.. Hey there!"

"Nib? refresh me, K?zis watch over me-" The female's murmurings were interrupted by a great splash further up the river. Golden eyes watched, almost incredulously, as a try colored brute of a wolf crossed the band of water. Chepi's jaw almost gaped for a moment, but she checked herself. Jaw clenched as she regained a bit of composure, watching the tri-colored mass of fur finally reach the bank. He shook off, then started running toward her.

Instantly, dark ears slicked back, tail raising as her shoulders dropped slightly, expecting an attack. Fangs were barred as the male skidded to a stop beside her. Chepi took a couple steps from the beast to give her some room. Excited words assaulted her defensive stance, and it took her a minute to realize that he didn't mean any harm. He was just big... and too happy. She couldn't place his age, but she assumed he was older than he acted; he nearly towered over her.

"Hello." Short and to the point. Her eyes were still attempting to take him in. His coat was a patchwork of colors. With an arch of a brow, she settled on his own exotic eyes. "Swim well, don't you?"

Having regained most of her composure, Chepi lightly ruffled her coat, tail wavering behind her. A brief thought of Aniwye crossed her mind, and the corner of her maw twitched in response.

The girl as old as he looked into his emerald swirls of ocean blue eyes. He let her look updo him in such a way, maybe he still wasn't old enough for the abusive from his mother to make an effect on his mental health. He had a devilish smile, his neck still standing straight and his head lookingm down on the girl.

"I mean... I suppose."

He was often found swimming... Basically anywhere. The ocean, lakes, rivers, he would splash in the occasional puddle. If he were alone or if he had company, who cared if they wanted to swim? Why not splash them and piss them off? Something Levi was good at. He had much respect for authorities, but he didn't have any. He was a free spirit, a rogue, no one could tell him what to do.

"I'm Leviathan. You can call me Levi."

He was hoping the female would give him a name in return, since he had stated his first.

"You don't like to swim?"
