Exploring the lands surrounding his new home was rather interesting, actually. Angeal had thought that at first, he wouldn't like them all that much. He had doubted they could compare to the places that he had explored with Liste, and this place was a far cry from the lands of Ludicael, but the massive rocks were interesting enough, Angeal supposed. The black male watched them with a solemn blue gaze, waiting to see if they would do anything interesting. But no, it seemed that they didn't. These rocks, unlike the glowing waters of Ludicael, boasted nothing out of the ordinary.

With a sigh and a twitch of his ears, Angeal rose to his paws and began to pad along, gaze still focused on the rocks that reached for the skies. He was oblivious to his surroundings, for the most part, though he kept one ear listening to the world around him. Like any ex-soldier, he hadn't entirely shaken his militant past, and was always on alert. Especially in strange, unfamiliar places.

This certainly qualified as both, Angeal supposed. He had not seen anything like this in his life, and Angeal had wandered far and seen a lot more than many wolves. This was out of the ordinary in the most ordinary of ways, and it amused Angeal in an odd way. Who would have thought that rocks could be so interesting? And yet, who would have thought rocks could be this big, or arranged in such a manner? The wandering male was content to leave those questions unanswered, however, and was solemn and silent as he made his way belong.

The boy probably shouldn't have been wandering so far from his home, much less alone. He'd barely been allowed out of the den on his own, much less able to travel far distances away from his parents. The growing fluff ball was surely a target for predators. Anything and anyone could easily eat him. Hell. There were wolves on Alacritis that would eat him if given the chance. He wasn't completely aware of that though, nor did he care. He just wanted to explore without the hovering protection of his parents or having to share his discoveries with his siblings.

Tongue hung from his mouth as he stumbled down the mountain from his home. To where? He didn't know the names of the landscape. He didn't care. He just wanted to get away and hopefully meet someone new! He was tired of seeing the same faces and it seemed as though everyone in Tortuga had disappeared. He wasn't aware that the pack had disbanded. He just knew that everyone had up and vanished. It made no sense, but he was too young to understand the levity or details of such situations. Instead he was just intrigued by what was around him.

Every once in a while he'd stop to sniff something and shove his face in a bush to smell it, or taste something. Sometimes he'd find a bug and he'd try to eat it. Occasionally batting at it, or chasing it. He even found a butterfly, but it didn't really taste all that great. Spitting out it's powdery wings he made a disgusted face before traveling farther. He finally came to gigantic rocks splayed around in no particular fashion. Toxic green and blue gaze looked around curiously. What was this place? He rose on his hind legs and place his front paws on one as his sniffed it. It was definitely a rock, and many were like but, but why were they all arranged like this? It didn't seem natural.

Nostrils flared and Angeal stirred slightly as the scent of another wolf reached him. It was an unfamiliar scent, though it carried the scents of a pack. Hmm. Ears twitching, Angeal made a split-second decision and padded in the direction of the other, coming to a stop only when his blue eyes came to rest upon a pup. The youngster looked far too little to be wandering on his own like he was. Angeal frowned slightly as he examined the pup, head tilting slightly as his gaze searched the general vicinity for any signs of a parent or a wolf looking after this figure.

But it seemed that they were alone. "This probably isn't the safest place for pups to be wandering." Angeal observed at last, his voice soft as he hoped not to startle the pup. With that, the black male settled back carefully on his haunches, wrapping his tail around his paws without a care in the world. The pup was not particularly threatening, Angeal was sure. The only threat might come from a parent of this youngster, but hopefully if any parents saw him seated like this, they would not assume him to be as much of a threat as they might have.

It had been a long time since Angeal had seen any pups. He could still remember when he had helped train them, pushing pups along the same path that they had travelled. One of his own had gone on to be a prodigy, to practically take his place as one of the best warriors that his pack had had. But he still adored pups, even if he could never trust himself with a litter of them. They were so malleable, however, so easily pushed along a path of darkness.
