Kaala woke up, yawned, stretched and padded out of her sleeping place. She bounded down to a stream and quickly lapped up some water. Excitement was in her eyes, as today was the day her hunting training was starting. Kaala was being trained by none other than Ocena. Kaala was let down just a little bit as she had wished it had been in her old wintry home up North. She shook her head of the thought quickly and looked at the water with intense concentration. Not long after, a massive red and grey fish went leaping by. Kaala jumped back quickly, stumbling and landing on her back. She leaped back up and stared at the advancing fish bewilderment. Ocena Training Kaala would be a good way for Ocena to get into practice for teaching her children how to hunt. Gargoyle would certainly help, of course, but Ocena wanted to be able to assist at least a little. She might have been half blind, but that didn't mean that she was useless! She could do this. And if she made any mistakes, Kaala wouldn't judge her. Kaala didn't expect perfection, just a little bit of training. Ocena could handle that much, at least. With her tail flicking in the air behind her, Ocena set out at a lope for the black female when the howl summoned her, a happy expression on her features. "Hello, Kaala!" Ocena spoke brightly as she slowed down, padding up to the younger female with a wag of her tail. She reminded Ocena of Orica, in a way, and it made the female feel distinctly protective of the other. "How are you doing today?" Tail wagging easily in the air behind her, Ocena tilted her head as she examined the black female, gaze roaming the other to ensure that she was in good health and uninjured. With all that had been going on, Ocena was worried about her packmates, and as Gargoyle's mate, she figured that she ought to keep an eye on things, to make sure that he didn't miss anything. Not that he would. And today she would prove that she could pull her own weight too. That she could help her packmates and offer them at least something other than being Gargoyle's mate. Not long after Kaala's mishap with the salmon, Ocena' s voice filled the air. Hello Kaala! The mother sounded, approaching Kaala. Hi Ocena! Kalla was just about bursting with excitement at the thought of her training starting minutes away. Ocena continued on. How are you doing today? Ocena looked Kaala up and down, assessing her. I'm excellent. How are you? Despite her excitement, Kaala was genuinely interested in how her friend was doing. Since the move and challenge, she hadn't seen much of the female. How are we going to start today? The question just popped out of Kaala's mouth. She looked at Ocena apologetically. That was rude! Be more careful! Kaala shifted from one paw to the other, energy and excitement building up inside her.

Ocena The young female seemed rather excited about what was going on, and Ocena had to smile at the younger creature. She was all too delighted by this training session. She could remember when she had been this excited about this kind of thing. But hunting was something she was pretty used to by now. "I'm doing very well." The female nodded at her trainee, "I'm excited to teach you these skills." Ocena nodded with a wag of her tail. Smiling at the other's excitement, Ocena wagged her tail easily, "Well, first of all, how much training have you had in hunting? Did you ever do it on your own or has anyone else taught you anything?" Ocena questioned curiously.
