ooc: This is set before she was burned and found by Luce. This is just her making friends, then maybe meeting them later on after she grows up a bit more.

A laugh could be heard coming from the tall grass of the plains. A black ball of fur breaking the surface of the wild grass, hop, hop, hop. A female pup had run off from her mother for some fun, going beyond the range her mother gave her permission to roam. The two had been walking a lot and today they could finally rest, but she did not want to lay around the den. No way, this little pup wanted to go exploring and maybe find somebody to play with.

She bounded through the grass, stopping for a moment to stalk a bug. Lip pulled back to reveal a toothy grin, lowering herself to the ground, but her rear was up in the air, tail wagging. Slowly she crept forward, mismatched eyes focused on the butterfly before her. Inch by inch until she finally could reach it, and with that she gave out a bark before leaping.

Paws slammed into the grass, hitting the ground with nothing beneath them. Darn, come back butterfly! She whined, picking herself up and bounding after the bug, yapping away, paying no attention to where she was going.

Gabriel

This was the second time Gabriel had thought about leaving the confines of Valhalla, and he was fairly certain that if his mother found out, she would kill him... there would be a good maiming at the very least. She could still feel the sharp sting of that punishment and those infuriated but relieved words! But Gabriel couldn't help himself, he wasn't a fighter, but an explorer was in his blood! He simply couldn't help himself! He trotted out of the den, slipping away as he usually did and was heading for the border, when a voice soft and innocent caught his ears.

Curiosity peaked, his direction would alter, following the noise until he came upon a girl. She was smaller than him, way smaller. His young mind wasn't developed to comprehend that she was practically a newborn. He would huff, falling to rest back on his haunches as he watched her with curiosity brimming in the depths of his gaze. She was chasing a butterfly, trying to pounce it, catch it, but the butterfly was faster, more agile. He often chased things when he was alone, not that he would admit to such in front of this stranger.

He cocked his head to the side in curiosity before speaking up. "Whatcha doin?"
