He was bored. And hungry. But mostly bored. He sat flopped at the entrance of the den, staring intently at his siblings. He didn't know why they weren't awake yet! They just ate. And slept. Sometimes both at the same time. And they couldn't see him yet! It was oh-so frustrating. But at least they could hear him now. He told them to open their eyes already, little voice high pitched and demanding. He'd gotten kicked, and as a result, he kept that sibling away from the milk for a bit before crawling out of the way, before Marina even had the chance to say something.

But really! They should be awake now! He crawled over to his mommy, blue fluff sticking up all over and with dirt mixed in. He whined, pitifully. "Mommyyyyy why won't they open their eyes?" he complained to the rainbow woman, poking a paw - gently - at Zephyra.

"Speech"

Marina was laying with her babies, the three by birth and the adopted son whom she loved and adored all the same. He looked like he could be of her own, based on his unusual coat color. The female would shift, her eyes were closed, relaxing as the little ones fed and slept. They were late in opening their eyes, but Marina didn't really mind too much. They were just taking things in their own time. They would be old enough soon to do all the things that their slightly older sibling did, and when they did she was in for an interesting experience she was sure. An ear would twitch as she heard Ren, and the woman would open an eye, looking at the boy with a small smile. "They'll open their eyes in their own time, Ren. Don't rush them. Soon they'll be playing with you, I assure you." The rainbow beast would give a content sigh. "Why don't you come rest for a little while?" "Talk" "You" Think

He had been out catching a meal for his dear sister, strolling through the gulley with two rabbits swinging from his jaws. It wasn't anything big but it was enough for a morning snack, give her a bit of energy to watch over the kinds. Spencer was already planning to bring a larger meal back later, running through his head what would be roaming the lands at this time and if there would be any young for a quicker take down. For now however, he would come up to Marina's den, giving a low bark to announce his approach before stopping just outside the den, setting the rabbits aside.

Ears perked up at an unknown voice, but it couldn't possibly be the pups already, they had not even opened their eyes yet. Curious, the man would poke his head inside with a smile, green eyes quickly going to the blue colored male poking one of the pups. ”Was this one hiding from us at birth?” He asked with a light chuckle, leaning over to sniff at the pup.

The female would open her eyes for the first time, blinking open hues of soft green. A yawn escaped the child, and she would look around, taking in the world she would know. The den, dark and familiar, greeted her. As well as her siblings and the uncle whose voice she had come to know. The child would get shakily to her paws, a tiny little thing since her birth, but she would get stronger each day. Tail would wag happily as she let out a playful puppy growl at Ren.

"Ren!" She barked, her voice louder than her body might suggest. She would drop her front end to the ground, her little butt wiggling in the air.  "Play play~" The little girl would swipe her right forepaw before her. She'd let out another playful growl, twitching her ears before attempting to dive at her brother.

Eating and sleeping - it was a flawlessly accurate description of what the green babe had been doing as of lately, but who was to complain to an innocent child? After all, what else was there to do? She was yet to grow, though at this rate it appeared she would become a colossal of a pup, let alone an adult. For now, she was blissfully oblivious to it all as her eyes remained tightly closed in a peaceful dozing slumber. However, it wasn't so peaceful for her family around her as she continued to sleep in a sprawled position, hogging all the precious warmth and space like an obnoxious green lump. And when her tipped ears perked at the sound of voices - whiny and barking voices - oh, it greatly annoyed her. It was noticeable that she wasn't in a deep sleep - more like resting with eyes closed - yet she still wished to remain undisturbed, which probably won't end up happening with the hullabaloo encompassing her form. "Nnngh..." A soft rumble erupted from her throat as her body slowly rolled over followed shortly by her coloured belly flopping onto the ground.

Nako groggily poked his head out of the den, noting that it was already midmorning for the summer day. Low and behold the male was four years old with this season, now definitely the eldest of his siblings until next season when his siblings would be brought up to his age. The first to have pups to, his brothers teasing in their reminding of that fact. All in good humor though. White paws carried him down the hillside and towards where Marina was denned up with her pups, his pups. Kaitlyn, Zephyra and Nixie, all fine products of his and Marina's union.

The pups should be opening their eyes any day, so despite his distant role as a father Nako headed over to Marina's den each day to see how the family was doing. Already her brother was outside the den, the two rabbits at his paws showing that he'd been hunting. Nako tightened his jaw, thinking that he should've brought something for the den bound female. But he was here now, Nako standing next to Spencer to stare into the den to spy on the little ones. There were four pups, a blue male wiggling about Nako's daughters. "My son..." The grey wolf nuzzled the blue pup, giving a tentative lick to the babes forehead.

Ugh! Noise, noise everywhere! Why wouldn't they just let her sleep?! She rolled over onto her side, tucking herself further into the crook of her mothers warm body, back turned to her other two siblings. "Mmmmrrrrrr...." She groaned heavily, all the talking was driving her crazy! She covered her ears with her tiny paws, rolling onto her back as her hind feet pushed her siblings fat body. Why was it so cramped in here?! As she tried to drift off to sleep, her little nose twitched with the scent of something unfamiliar, but it smelled good! Slowly, she opened one eye to peek, and bit by bit the blurry figures became clear to her as she opened the other eye. There were so many! All the scents of all those gathered inside and outside the den smelled so interesting! But...what was that other smell? It smelled warm and delicious...Wriggling to roll over to her paws, she scrambled over her siblings and her mothers legs, waddling past Ren and basically ignoring everyone else but what was held in her uncle's jaws. She sniffed at it, leaning so far forward she nearly stumbled into her uncle's leg, her tail wagging a mile a minute. "W'as that?" She turned to her mother, a huge look of curiosity in her wide eyes. "Mama w'as that? What does Uncie Spencew have?"

Ren whined at his mother, blue eyes flashing with all the impatience of youth. He dropped down to the ground briefly, refusing to go and rest as his mother suggested. Another whine and he bounced back up, nosing each sibling and then pacing in front of them. Spencer entered, but he didn't want Uncle Spencer, he wanted his sisters! Play! Besides, the thing he brought always smelled funny to him. Milk smelled so much better. He froze as a little voice caught his attention. an excited squeak emerged from him as his sister dived at him, and he dived at her, crashing into her and sending both of them rolling. Toothless mouth would try to nom her ear, excited laughter spilling from him. He finally rolled away from her, to end up at his father's paws; with a grin, he would nuzzle back, exclaiming, "Daddy!"; he then leaned against his father's legs. Although... then his other sister awoke, but... ignored Ren. And went to the funny thing that Momma ate. A pout crossed his face as he stared at his teal sister. "Is wha' momma eats," he muttered, thoroughly annoyed that she ignored him and Kaitlyn and Daddy.

"Speech"

Marina couldn't help but chuckle at her son. Adopted or not he was a wonderful addition to the family, even if he was a little on the impatient side! As Spencer arrived she would smile warmly, glad that he had brought a snack with him. Keeping enough her energy up to keep up with the little ones was important. Though before she had a chance to thank her brother he mentioned Ren. Eyeing him slightly Marina would force a chuckle. "Aye. Say hello to your nephew, Ren"

She'd look to Nako as he arrived next, not missing a beat. "Looks like Ren missed you a lot." Marina would then focus on Nixie, her inquisitive little one. "Ren is right. They are called rabbits and they are what mommy eats." Marina gave a light laugh. "Such a nosy little dear! Heeeey! I have an idea." Marina was beaming.

"Who wants to leave the den and play outside?"

Katie would give qn excited squeal as Ren tackled her, sending them both rolling. Giggles escaped her as he mouthed her ears, paws playfully flailing into his chest. Kaitlyn loved Ren! He was fun and the best brother ever. Nixie couuuuld be fun, but Zephyra just wanted to sleep and that was no fun at all! The girl would get back to her paws, little tail and rear wiggling the moment she spotted Spencer and Nako. "Daddddy~ Unkie~" The pup would cry in delight.

As if having a hard time deciding who to tackle first Katie would look between the two. Then, giggling with glee, she'd race to Spencer's legs and rubbed up against him. "Hiya! She would say excitedly. She was in for a bigger treat when her mother mentioned going out of the den.

"Me first! Me first! Darting between Spencer's legs she'd arrive just outside the den, breathing in wonder. "So pretty...

Argh, she wasn't going to get any sleep at this rate. With everyone up and bouncing everywhere, their clumsy paws were likely to squash her large form. That certainly wasn't what she wanted, in fact, it was the contrary that was more likely to happen. As she abruptly rose to her feet with sudden energy, only trouble laid ahead upon the tomboy's path. "Can they be Zeph food too?" she demanded innocently at her mother, pawing at the rabbits that seemed to be strictly for her mother despite being bathed in a tasty aroma stimulating her nose. Now that she was awake, she had only one subconscious objective, and that was to annoy everyone; make a complete nuisance out of herself; scream for attention. When she was finished, if there was such a phase, they would all wish she had never been disturbed. All she needed was somewhere to start. "No, no, no! Must be first!" At the sight of her hazel sister bounding to the den's exit, the green babe's competitive nature kicked in and off she skidded, unfortunately being the second one to see the outside world. This set her off completely. "Muuuuum! Me wasn't first! Kait bet me!" the child pettily whined, ruining the potentially positive familial atmosphere the day was to be, and with a narrowed crimson gaze she shot a cold glare at her smaller sister.

One by one the children would stir, little Kaitlyn, untouched by her mother's vibrant colors, already trying to dive at her blue brother. Spencer smiled as he watched them, but his green gaze would quickly move on. Zephyra didn't look to happy about being woken up by her siblings, rolling over and making no attempt to join the others. Nako would arrive as well, the man coming up and nuzzling Ren briefly. "Nako." He said simply, giving a small dip of his skull and sitting back on his haunches. The both of them were large men, so standing side by side in the den entrance could be a bit suffocating for the children.

Nixie looked very interested in the hares he had brought, crawling over her siblings to come and sniff at the bodies before asking her mother what they were. He would remain silent, smiling and leaning down to lick at the girl's head. Nephew, the all blue one was his nephew. "Finally, a lad to rough house with." He barked with a laugh, joking of course. That was when Marina asked if they wanted to go out to play, green eyes looking to how excited almost every pup got at it.

With Kait brushing against his legs Spencer ran a paw gently over her back, smiling when she raced between his legs and out of the den. Zeph wasn't too happy, immediately whining to her mother about how she wasn't first to come outside. "Everyone loses in their life Zeph, we can not always be first." He said simply, standing back up and brushing the hares to the side so the kids wouldn't trample them. "Mar, a little snack for you and the kids." He'd reach over and brush her cheek.

Nako eyed his children, biological or not, and he couldn't help but be overcome by a sense of warm pride. They were growing so quickly, hardly two weeks ago and they were barely moving and now they were tugging on each other's ears and tumbling about. The grey male placed a lick between Ren's ears as the pup rubbed himself against his fathers ankles. "Yes he did..." Nako responded to Marina. The blue pup wasn't his but Nako reared him as if he was his own son. Shame on the parents who had abandoned him. But here the little pup had love and attention, and now had the chance to go outside as Marina asked if anyone wanted to do so. All of the pups responded in varying tones of excitement and scrambled up the entrance of the den. Marina's pups now knew freedom if but for a little while until they all had to be ushered back inside. For now Nako would watch over the brood he had a part in raising and simply be content at the sight of their multicolored forms tumbling about outside the den. A small part in a seemingly endless land for them to explore that would only get bigger as they grew.
