Things were moving into place, land was claimed and marked, followers were given ranks and duties to complete. Soon they would set their plans into motion, and Paradox was ever so curious to see what would come from all of it. It didn't mean the young woman put her complete faith and trust into the wolves, no, she would watch from a distance. The girl wanted to see what would come from the wolves, if they were truly looking to follow Sin  or were just cowards looking for safety in a group. She already her her suspicions, dark eyes watching everyone's every move while lurking in the shadows. If someone crossed them, she would be the first to punish.

The shewolf padded along the border, staying on the outside, nose flaring at the man's stench that created a border for others to know what lay beyond. Head was held high as she casually walked, tail steadily waving behind her thighs, nearly curling into her back. Dark eyes swept over the area, going back and forth from the pack lands and open lands. Nose twitched while she gathered scents, noting another time that loners were getting too comfortable and getting inches within the markers. Perhaps she would come across one today, or maybe not. The girl would just have to wait and see.

The young female hadn't been at the Battlefield to watch the challenge peculiarly addressed to her mother, though there was no need to see such a violent act of diplomacy to know she had lost her home. Not just her - everyone. Threar was gone. Strange wolves had taken over her pack, kicked them all out, leaving them to roam the inhumane rogue lands. Never did she feel so bare, so hollow. As a loner, everything she had loved had been ripped away - her dignity, home, family and comfortable lifestyle. Even her very parents had abandoned her, and she simply couldn't find the rest of her family. Just when her life was starting to take shape positively, her world had fallen and was crumbling around her. Could she rebuild it? No, she was a changed woman.

Ever since her life had taken a drastic alteration, she had lingered silently around the new empire's domain, sweeping her alabaster dress dangerously close to the borders. Was she ready to move on? No, not yet. Some would reckon she would drive herself mad, crawling within the general vicinity of the territory. With a mismatched gaze, she emotionlessly observed the pack, gathering as much information as she could from afar. Spying, perhaps, though she liked to called it examining. It was a strange curiosity, a desire never felt before. And there was her opportunity. Another pallid dame trailed along the outside of the border, so close to the sickening stench that only reminded the former Threar wolf of her fallen home. Were they a part of this new pack? She couldn't tell exactly, only make assumptions. Until she knew for certain, which hopefully wouldn't take long, she kept to the rogue side of the border whilst mingling with the shadows. There was a chance the stranger would scent her presence, though that was far from being a worry at this point.

When observing and tracking, it wasn’t too difficult to spot something that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. That said, Paradox knew there was a wolf lingering close by in the shadows, hidden by large bits of plains that stretched beyond the border or perhaps behind a tree. Whatever was the chosen spot, it didn’t matter much. The young woman was aware and knew of the general position, casually taking in the scents the wind brought to her, swirling and changing within minutes. Action would not be taken at first, no, the child was not that foolish, she had some brains.

”Like what you see?” She called teasingly to the wind, tail wagging in a circular motion before raising and curling over the back. Jokes, not something Paradox was used to, but hey, she wanted a little fun to lighten the mood. With a light sigh she turned from the border, kicking up dirt with claws before stepping away a few paces and coming to a stop beside a lone boulder about half her height. ”Staring mighty hard into that place, have a lover behind those borders?” Curious tones were sent into the air as the woman climbed atop the rock and lay on her stomach, a leg crossing over the other and dark blue eyes turning towards the shewolf.

Warning bells blared in her head as she heard the taunting voice of the other woman, unable to peel her eyes away from the figure that climbed upon a small boulder. Whether her exact position had been uncovered or the stranger relied solely on her wafting scent, it was enough to inject panic into her veins. She hadn't come this close with a pack wolf since she had found herself rogue, especially one that seemed hostile. This hadn't been a good idea. Not a good idea. But what could she do now? Flee? It was likely she would be followed, if not attacked. Maybe it would be best to just play it out and gradually form a plan in her mind.

"Perhaps not a lover," she called out eloquently with a sly expression upon her features as she stepped out from behind the clump of bushes concealing her form with grace. With an alabaster head held high, the Destruction female never took her narrowed gaze off of the unnamed woman. She wouldn't give out too much information about herself, just enough to keep the conversation at bay - or to stall as she preferred to title it. And so she would stand there, with several metres of plains separating the two, waiting for a response.

"Perhaps not, hm?" She mirrored, brow raised as the wolf stepped out from behind a clump of bushes. A sort of amused expression was held over her face, holding an air of authority though the wolf would not have know that she held a spot among the pack behind her. It was a female, pelt of snow such as herself but with mismatched eyes and brown wisp-like markings surrounding them. Surprisingly, she wasn't hideous and tainted by multiple colors. Paradox would smirk as she lifted her skull, ears forward while her tail lightly swung from the boulder's side casually.

Silent, a woman of few words it would seem. Well, that or she was part of the unnamed stranger who had been lingering around Hellstrom since the day they arrived here, slipping past the borders and going into the isolated area of the estuary. Oh yes, Paradox kept a good eye and nose on the activities going on around her father's pack, trailing along the outside of the borders in various spots since she didn't spend much time inside and mingling with the commoners. It was quite sad really, just stalking around without even saying a hello. Paradox liked making new friends.

Clearing her throat, the young woman would look away and towards the land behind the other white woman. "A friend, or perhaps family?" She questioned, not entirely looking to learn about who they could possibly have that she knew but more so to see if she would hint towards something she could use. "They have something of mine." Her attention would shift, glancing over her shoulder with a faint sigh and shake of her head. "Though, it will take time to get it back." Shoulders rolled in a shrug, turning back to her unnamed company.

Her expression remained unchanged as she watched the stranger, her alabaster body slightly relaxing from its stiffened state though hopefully unnoticeable to the other pair of eyes. The unnamed woman seemed insistent of knowing who was within the pack that Varda knew, and she would still respond regardless of her different answer. It wasn't an individual, someone who she could rescue if the borders fell. No, it was a memory.

Emotionless words slipped from her lips as she fought back a growl - lashing out would not bring back Threar. It wasn't likely the other woman would interpret her words as a request to join the pack beyond the borders, for her monotonous expression told otherwise. "A home." When the other female mentioned the pack had something of hers, she couldn't help but to tilt her head in curiosity - a silent gesture for the stranger to explain deeper if she so wished.

Dark blue watched the white maiden who remained silent the whole time Paradox spoke, only muttering less than a handful of words when she actually spoke. It would make her sigh in disappointment, giving a small shake of her skull and flick of her tail. ”Why must the beautiful be dull.” Tones were light and directed to no one in particular, more so just for herself as she extended a paw and spread her tones, gaze being directed to her claws. The shewolf was one of few appealing wolves she has met, but her lack of expression was causing the laid wolf to become bored quickly.

At last she did speak, a home. Well, that was an earful. Paradox's skull lifted, brows raising, one slightly higher than the other while one side of her lip raised a little in a 'seriously?' look. Either, she was part of that pathetic pack whose leader didn't bother defending, or she was part of the group who lived here before Hellstrom settled. But which one, hm? ”How unfortunate.” Her leg was replaced over the other hanging over the rock, what could be described as sympathy appearing in her as a show. ”Interested in taking it back?” She noted the head tilt but would ignore it, curious to whether the girl sought to reclaim the place, or if she would eve dare giving that kind of information away.

A mutter of words from the other woman caused her to muse an inquiry, "Is that a compliment?" Perhaps she was appearing quite dull as far as the conversation proceeded, not that she expected the stranger to take an interest in their discussion. After all, who would wish to exchange words with one who followed a leader who failed to defend their home, if not the very spawn of that leader?

Indeed it was unfortunate for losing a home, especially now that she had encountered one of the new empire's inhabitants and had actually engaged in a conversation with. An uneasy conversation on Varda's end. However, the remark of reclaiming her home piqued her interest, making her ears flick. Would she take back her home? It seemed impossible at this point if she was to do it alone, though at the same time didn't wish to appear weak or not loyal towards her fallen pack. "You think I would run into a pack hoping to reclaim it on my own?" She shook her head, realising that the rest of the family, if not formerly allied packs, were bound to hear the news and hopefully avenge the fall of Threar. They had to have an army powerful enough to take out a pack. Yet the question remained in her mind, echoing hauntingly. Would they come for revenge? Or will they even blink at the tragedy?
