Thalos would awake that moment with only one thing on his mind -- play. Today was going to be a special day, a day for him and Farore. He’d have another special day for Arkay later. But today, today was the day he’d promised Farore before their home was taken. Adventure was on the wind! His orange eyes would shine with a mischievous light as he moved to his sister’s side. Perhaps Feli would take Arkay out so he wouldn’t feel left out. A paw would gently be set upon Farore’s shoulder. He would lean in, whispering into her ear. “Awaken princess. Your knight has decided the day is light, and that adventure awaits.” A warm smile touched his maw. He could afford a silly moment here and there with his sister. ""

The tiny girl slept peacefully in the den that they shared with Feli, it was nice having him so close. He reminded her of mommy and daddy and helped her get to sleep at night. She still missed them, lots, but she wanted mommy to get better, and she couldn't do that here. Faro's dreams were mostly peaceful, with her siblings and cousin so close she didn't have the nightmares that might have otherwise threatened her. Beyond missing her parents Farore was adjusting rather well to Abaven's slight differences. She'd stir softly as Thally pressed into her shoulder and whispered his words into her ear. She didn't hear most of the words coherently, but 'adventure' stood out like nothing else. Her brilliant blue gaze would blink as she brought herself more fully into consciousness. She'd grin up at her brother, today was the day they'd adventure together. "Adventure!" She'd repeat with excitement, today would be a good day to help forget her troubles. ""

Thalos would wait, watching as Farore began to stir. He was glad that Abaven was so similar to Threar. The differences were slight ones, nothing to major. It had allowed him, as well as his siblings and cousin, to begin adjusting rather easily. It was good that Feli came with them as well. He was a source of stability for the three of them, and they wouldn’t need to worry with him around. He made a promise... And Thalos believed him. Watching Farore, he would see her blue eyes open fully as she awoke. He would let his tail move back and forth. He would give a nod, his ears perked to attention before him. “That’s right, Faro! We’re going on an adventure.” The young man would gently nudge her shoulder again, encouraging his sister to stand, though he was sure she needed no further prodding other than “adventure.” Thalos would start towards the entrance of the den, glancing towards Farore with a grin. “Do you want to lead the way?” He’d ask softly. Yes, today was going to be a good day. ""

Thally was quick to encourage the young she wolf, his words made obvious again their destination. She didn't need much prodding, and as he nudged her shoulder the runt of the litter would find her feet. She was close beside him as the boy moved towards the entrance, while he paused to ask if she wanted to lead in answer the Destruction child would continue to walk. Yes, she would lead and she wasn't sure why he'd even asked. Of course she wanted to be in the front! Troubles forgotten for the moment Farore would trot with her head up and her tail wagging. With her nose to the wind she'd take in all of the scents, there was still so much to explore here she wasn't even sure how she was going to begin. Taking in one more deep breath she'd aim for the scent of water, and start and adventure towards the rapids. ""

Thalos felt excited. A day with his sister was just what he needed! He had only asked her the other question just in case she was feeling down about anything, to bring a smile back to her face. He knew she liked to lead their little adventures! Thally had little problem with this at all -- he loved following Farore around; she always found the most interesting things! He was padding along right beside his little sister, his ears perked, and gaze shining with excitement. “Hey Faro?” The boy would suddenly speak up again as they traveled on the way to the rapids. “If you could be another animal, what would you be?” It seemed like an out of place question, but the boy was genuinely curious. Sometimes he wondered why they were born as wolves instead of something else. Did his sister ever wonder about that? ""
