Keep Pushing

The two yearlings had been staying at the lake for only half a season before they had to find a new place to stay. Zisa was already planning to leave the place once summer came, continue the search for her family but it appeared a pack was giving a push. They had moved into the area and marked their borders, forcing her and Mingan to start their journey. Quickly they were nearly surrounded by packs, given the only choice of moving north east where the land lay unclaimed. It wasn't easy, the companions had to pass through desert, and while doing so they had become separated.
By time Zisa was in the clear she found herself in a sea of green, hungry and dehydrated. She would with head hung low and ears pulled back, breathing labored as she slowly moved through the grasses, ignoring the plentiful prey. The main goal was to find water.

Tiny was resting on Akemi’s back, curled up in a ball as he clung to her fur. He’d been quiet in the summer heat and Akemi wondered if it would have been better to leave him behind in the den. She would breathe in and then out, slowly, catching a scent. Could it really be...? Her single eye would widen, and Akemi would press on through the valley until she saw her. Zisa. Her little girl. Akemi would break into a trot, coming up beside her weary daughter. “If you keep going straight you’re going to hit a pond.” The femme would say gently, knowing that her daughter needed to take care of her need of water before they spoke of others things. |

A little out of it, Zisa didn't even notice another wolf was in the same area, let alone coming over. It was when the shewolf was padding alongside the girl and spoke, then she seemed to snap out of it. Eyes went wide as she quickly lifted her eyes and looked at the wolf beside her, brows coming together and eyes beginning to water. "M-Mom!" The girl practically threw herself into Akemi's side, rearing up and trying to hook her forelimbs around her mother's neck in a tight hug. At the same time she would throw her head forward, burying it into her mother's neck and inhaling her long missed scent. "You're here!"
