She'd taken great care to lay out each of the herbs she wanted to fill the first lesson with. Not quite knowing if the girl even wished to show up Rhythm still wouldn't hesitate putting in as much effort as she could for these lessons. Even if she couldn't prove herself to the young Imperialis, she was determined the child learn something from her. Some of the plants were fresh, like the dandelion and the cannabis that she'd found. (There was a whole giant patch of them behind the barn, it almost seemed like they'd been intentionally planted there.) She'd also brought a bit of dried trillium and wintergreen, the product of her trip to the island. She also had a bit of Yarrow and Valerian root, all to hopefully test the girl's knowledge. She had no intentions of bringing up the events that unfolded during the meeting, this was a lesson. If Vana appeared she would be all professional. With her line up displayed on a toppled old fence post Rhythm would tilt back her head and call out for Valentine's daughter. "" |

Her talk with her daddy hadn't really changed her opinion on Rhythm. She still didn't understand why she got away with things that got other people made into slaves or worse. It didn't seem fair, which bothered her most because her daddy was always fair. Was Rhythm like... a witch or something? Had she bewitched him? The idea... interested her more than she would admit. If she could catch Rhythm in the act... She would blackmail her into teaching Vana how to do it. Was it magic? Or some combination of herbs into some potion that had males just crawling at her feet in adoration? Because she didn't understand how else Rhythm could have so many males interested in her... and Vana wanted that. She wanted to know this secret of getting males to do whatever you wanted. So when Rhythm called her for a lesson, Vana - narrow eyed and sulky at being summoned - nonetheless showed up. Her shadowed gaze shifted from Rhythm to the herbs at her feet and back, but she remained silent, her mouth set in a petulant line. |

There wan't really any chance that Vana would not show up, while she was now no stranger to how the girl felt about her there was no way that she would disobey her father. So Rhythm did not have to wait very long before the girl made her way to where their lesson would take place. She was quiet, what Rhy would understand to be quite the oddity, but probably not so much in her situation. Maybe it was vetter the other party remained with out words. Taking a breath Rhythm would jump right into their assigned task, not wished to prolong their exposure anymore than she had to. "Can you name the plants in front of you?" The question was direct and curious, like a young school teacher addressing her student. Question one would be identification. "" |

No less sulky, no less petulant, she remained in place for a moment longer staring a challenge at the would-be teacher. But she was no less her mother's daughter, and curiosity dropped her eyes to stare at the herbs. She puzzled over them a moment longer, squinting at a couple that were half-familiar whose names and uses she could not recall if she'd heard or not, before finally speaking up for the first time. "Dandelion... wintergreen, and yarrow," she said of the ones she recognized before stubbornly shutting her mouth once again. The only reason she was even here was to learn about healing, maybe figure out what it was that made Rhythm get her way all the time, not to play nice-nice with woman. She'd figure it out on her own if she had to, but she refused to act like this was a social occasion. She would not offer any more than that. |

Rhythm watched quietly as Evangeline looked over the selection of plants in front of her. Rhy had no intentions of speaking on anything but their little lesson, and as her student finally answered it didn't seem like the girl would be either. The Destruction was quite alright with that particular arrangement, though she wished to be friendly with Valentine's older children only about half of them actually had any wish to speak to her. The other two.. she didn't really want to linger on what Vana and Ash thought of her. So she'd stay focused, keeping her attention on the lesson at hand. "Yes, very good." She knew three of them, that was a good place to start. "We'll ignore the others for now, can you tell me what kind of uses those three have?" Even if she did know more than just their names repetition was always valuable. "" |
