With the description of Imperium given, the male truly was interested. It seemed right up his alley; his way of life and thinking, and it was gratifying to think of. He had put aside any worries that his questions had been annoying, though he had stopped after the first question - that was enough; he could ask the alpha more, this Valentine that Cascade had mentioned. He was already preparing himself mentally to fight; he was resigned to the fact he would have to, though he would not particularly enjoy it. No matter, though, he'd not complain; he'd simply do it, complete it, and hopefully prove himself to this alpha of this honorable pack.

So he stood at the border Cascade took him towards and stood patiently, waiting for the man in charge to arrive.
"Speech" "Romanian"

Well, it seemed her answer had satisfied the male and she hadn't had to resort to capturing him to add his hunting skills to the pack, and Cas trotted the short distance back to Imperium with her tail high and waving. She cast him an easy grin over her shoulder. "You'll like it here. Good hunting, close to the river... close to everything actually, we're pretty centralized here. Pretty much everyone's easy to get along with..." She wondered whether to warn him about the ones that were more unpredictable, like Mercy and Esti, or outright hostile like Hati... but nah. He'd figure it out. That was all part of the fun. "It's pretty great here" Stopping just inside the border - and approving of the fact that he stopped at the border - she threw back her head and called for Valen to come join her. Again. He was probably going to start wondering if she had something planned, with all the wolves she was bringing into the pack...

Reaching the pair, Valentine eyed Cascade speculatively. Really, Cas? Again? Not that he would really complain. He'd take in slaves all day every day. If he amassed enough he needed to weed out the dumb and the useless that currently took up space. Actually, he should probably do that anyway. The King made a note to start paying more attention to what his Servus were doing. He might just have to maim and turn loose the useless ones. The male with her didn't look all that unhappy, so maybe he was getting ahead of himself and falsely assuming. So who was this man then if not a captive? A friend? Oh. Better yet. A boyfriend, perhaps? It was a theory as good as any. "What do we have here?" ""

Felix nodded to the woman's words, a smile on his face. "That sounds wonderful, Doamnă, it truly does." He watched as she stepped inside the border and called for the alpha, ahead of him, and idly wondered if he should follow, but no - he was not of the pack, and that would not be proper, regardless. It did not take long for this alpha, this King to arrive. He was very quick, and Felix could already eye the man appreciatively for that - nevermind the fact that the King was much, much bigger than Felix. That also made the brown coated male appreciative, and he would dip his head respectfully to the King. "Bună ziua, King Valentine," he murmured in greeting, his voice thick with his unique accent. "Doamnă Cascade has brought me here to your pack, Imperium, for I am interested in joining." There he stopped, and waited for Cascade to speak the rest; it was not his place to speak, it was this strange woman's.

Valentine showed up with measuring glances and a question. Cascade bounced up to the male, flicking her tail playfully at his nose. "I brought you a present of course," she teased, then winked at Felix, who sought in his accented voice to explain his presence there. "Felix, meet Valentine, Rex of Imperium. Valen, meet Felix, your newest hunter. Found him fishing in the river and he expressed interest in joining your little soiree." She laughed, and sought to nip at his ear, following it with a soothing lick. "He's a pretty good hunter from what I could see. What do you say, do you wanna give the kid a chance to prove he can cut it here?"

His eyes roved the rogue speculatively as he spoke. Not Cascade's boyfriend then. Darn. Cascade had never expressed interest in anyone else in Valentine's presence. The only time they ever really talked about romantic partners was when they were talking about his. He'd been looking forward to teasing her about her choice of partners; been looking forward to exacting revenge for all those times she'd needled him over Rhythm's gentle nature. It was a shame this man wasn't one of hers. He looked like a nice, honest guy. Eager and all of that good stuff. Valentine would have had a riot. Cascade teased his nose with the tip of her tail and Valentine snapped at it with mock reproach. Felix, eh? Valentine gave a shallow dip of his head in greeting. "It's a pleasure, Felix." His newest hunter, huh? If Cascade liked him enough to add him to the ranks then he had to be worth keeping. The Uxor's continued pestering was a little distracting and while he wanted to be displeased with the lack of credibility it gave this meeting with the rogue, Valentine couldn't find the will to actually be displeased with her licking his ear. She needed to stop teasing him or this meeting was going to get a lot less professional fairly quickly. His gaze flicked to Cascade briefly before settling on Felix. "Alright, Felix, you're in. I trust Cascade's judgement and if she thinks you're a good fit for Imperium then I see no reason to disagree. You'll start out as a Libertus, that is, an unranked citizen, and from there you'll need to work towards the rank you want and prove that you are suited for the position. I assume you're aware of the nature of Imperium and with that in mind I'd like to see how you handle yourself in a fight." Angelus could use a bit of practice, so if Felix didn't shy away from the prospect of a fight then Valentine would call for his son. ""

The lady would also explain his presence, and the hunter would smile at the antics of the two. "De asemenea," he returned simply. It was true, as well; he got a good impression of this King, this Rex, this man who respected honor. Another smile as the antics continued - yes, it might seem unprofessional, but there was no reason to hide the gentle interactions between two. It would not, however, be polite or respectful of him to actually laugh, in his book, so he stayed quiet, simply watching. The man would visibly perk up somewhat when Valentine spoke again, eyes on the handsome blue form of the alpha. He nodded slowly to the alpha's words, absorbing the information. Libertus. Unranked. It was something that was completely fair, if something he would try his damned hardest to get out of as quickly as possible... the moment he learned of each of the ranks and whatnot. He was still new, new to this pack... this pack he could now say he was a member of. Then came the fight information - the very thing Cascade warned him about. He nodded in response to that - he understood, even if he was not a good fighter. It would still give him valuable experience, and that in itself was well enough. Perhaps he would learn new information, new techniques, that would let him learn to fight better, and become proficient in two areas, not just in one. "Talk" "You" Think

He got a nod in response to his explanation and, taking that as enough of a confirmation to proceed, tipped up his chin and howled out a summons for Angelus. Valentine knew his son would jump at the chance to test a new member. He doubted it would take the Ultimus long to respond, but that didn't stop him from sinking to his haunches. If there was going to be a fight he may as well get comfortable. Valentine's ears pricked. Was that pawsteps he heard already? Either Angel was really booking it or the boy had lucked out and was close by. ""
