Kalliope was never truly one to seek out a certain wolf's company, especially not after she left home. However, lately she had begun to feel a weird loneliness. Loneliness as a whole wasn't odd she supposed, but for her it was. She was sure her sister had to be somewhere in Alacritis, but for a blind wolf Alacritis felt like a terribly big place to search. She could have asked someone to help her search she supposed, like that Kar she had run into a while back. He probably would have at least followed her around and made sure she didn't run into anything while she searched. The key problem here was that she would have had to ask for help and her stubborn pride just wouldn't let her do it.

She could tell from the steadily declining temperature that she was moving further and further north, but it was just about the only place that she hadn't yet searched so that was her next destination. She sighed as her shoulder lightly bumped into yet another damn tree and she frowned. "Damn it, Neith, where could you be?" she thought to herself, a frustrated growl bubbling up in her chest when her nose bumped into a tree trunk. With a sigh she turned away from the tree and sat down on her haunches, wanting to just take a moment to calm down and collect herself before she went attacking a damn tree.

Since being accepted into Yfir the midnight colored woman had been too distracted to even think about leaving the borders. Laufey kept her busy and with Eisleif being born the child had claimed all of her time. Now that the girl was a bit older she was more apt to seek out her father's company Neith was once again free to explore her time on her own. So for the first time since she'd come here the young woman would cross outside of Yfir and into rogue lands. Kalliope had been on her mind recently, she hadn't seen her sister in a long while and she wanted her very much to meet her niece. She knew that her trip today would not take her all the way east, the last place she had run into her sister, but maybe someday soon she would take Eisleif to meet her.

Dark paws would carry her further away from her child and pack, not really sure what she was looking for. It felt good to stretch her legs outside the territory. She didn't mind living in Yfir, it was quite nice actually. She'd grown accustomed to the deep snow and the way of life there. She still was a wanderer at heart though, and any chance to have a trip to herself she was going to take.

As she went on the last thing she expected to encounter was her sister, but as she walked a form would take shape in the trees. She would have avoided them all together if there were not something so terribly familiar about the figure. Narrowing her gaze curiously Neith would approach with caution until she realized who exactly it was. With excitement Neith would exclaim, "Kalli!" She'd call out to her almost sister as she rushed forward through the snow towards her.

Kalliope was in the middle of taking a few deep breaths to calm herself so she could think clearly when the sound of paws crunching through snow in the distance reached her ears. Jeeze, the last thing she needed right now was some stranger coming to- Suddenly her name rung through the air and her peach covered ears would perk from surprise. Her head quickly turned toward the sound and she realized who the voice belonged to. "Neith?" she'd call back, a relieved smile spreading across her muzzle. Finally!

She'd rise to her paws, but she'd let Neith be the one to close the distance between them. She had run into quite enough trees for one day. Once her sister was close enough though she'd reach out, using her scent as a guide to affectionately nuzzle Neith's neck. "I've been looking everywhere for you! Took me a while, as you can imagine. Of course you were in the last place I looked." She chuckled, all of her stress gone now that she had her almost sister with her. "What are you doing up here, Neith? It's been so long since I've seen you."

She was quick to gain Kalliope's attention as she called out, her sister 'looking' towards her as she rushed forward through the snow. She'd return the affections her sister offered as they finally reached each other after who knew how many months ago. As soon as the peach woman's words fell from her lips Neith felt guilty. She hadn't come to see her sister in the east in a long time. Smiling into her sister's fur as she explained what she'd been through and reflected her thoughts quit well. "I know, and I'm sorry." Her words were very much sincere. "I've been busy, but that's not much of an excuse. I live in a pack near by, I met someone last summer and live with him now." Wow it had been a while. "You have a niece to meet now."

Kalliope let herself settle onto her haunches while Neith explained what had been going on with her life in the last couple of seasons. Her living in a pack and meeting someone was interesting and unexpected and surprise touched her expression at the news, but when Neith said she had a niece her expression changed to full on shock. Her sister had said it so conversationally and Kalliope couldn't quite grasp how she could do that. She had a niece?! "You had a daughter?" she asked, her tone ringing with how stunned she was by this whole thing. Once the initial shock passed a happy grin found its way onto her muzzle. "I have a niece! I can't wait to meet her Neith. What's her name?" Her tail brushed against the ground as it wagged while she tried to imagine what Neith's daughter might be like. It was so hard to believe that so much could happen in what felt like such a short amount of time. "I wish I had something exciting to tell you about... Ever since my pack got broken up I haven't really done much of anything. I haven't really known what to do honestly."

Her sister's expression as well as the tone of her voice told Neith very well how surprised she was. The silver marked woman would smile cheerfully, having not quite expected to see Kalli so excited about the news. "Her name is Eisleif, and she's wonderful. Even more independent than myself, if that's possible." She'd laugh softly as she bumped her sister's shoulder. Kalliope was going to love her. The peach tinted she wolf would go on to tell her about what had happened in her life, and Neith would grow more serious. "I hadn't heard about your pack. I'm sorry sister." Had she said something about not being completely content there the last time they'd spoken? She couldn't remember. "I should have come to find you sooner." She'd nuzzle into her scruff affectionately, Neith couldn't do anything for Kalli, not that she would have accepted her help with anything anyway. She did really want her to meet her daughter though. "Come, follow me back, you have to meet Eisleif." She didn't have any intention of leading her back across the border, but she could bring her young pup to her aunt.

Kalliope couldn't help but laugh when she heard that Neith's daughter was somehow even more independent than her mother. That seemed almost impossible, but if anyone's children were going to be free spirits she guessed it would be Neith's. Her sister grew more serious and Kalli almost regretted bringing up her recent situation at all. She never wanted pity or concern or whatever this was from her sister. She was fine, just displaced a bit... Kalli appreciated her sister's affections none of the less and returned her nuzzle to Neith's scruff. "Nonsense. You had a daughter to look after. I'm fine." Neith then told her to come meet Eisleif and Kalliope honestly didn't know what else she would be doing so she nodded in agreement. "Alright! Lead the way."
