After the man had expressed his disapproval of Avalon and Akemi's fight hed stormed off here with his rabbit, though he wasnt sure why...he wasnt even hungry now. He lost his appetite after being hateful to both women. To Avalon he had expressed just how much he felt betrayed by her because she was suppose to be his friend. Hell they had been pack mates and as far as he was concerned that should have been bond enough. As for Akemi, well at first all he could do was glare at her because he didnt want to yell at her. When something finally did come out, all he could say was in short that he was disappointed and that she wouldnt find him at their den tonight.

His main reason for not going back to the den was because he didnt want to upset Tiny. The other reason was he had needed time to think. He loved this woman with his entire being and everytime she's been in a fight Ravine was positive someone had ripped his hear right out of his chest. It was like he could breathe like someone was slowly closing their jaws around his throat as his heart beat its way through his rib cage.

With a huff he would drop the rabbit at the base of a tree before flopping on the ground only a few feet from it. Aqua gaze would glare at the grass infront of his nose while his mind worked. He was mad at himself for being mad at her...but he was mad at her for taking kothing but her own anger into consideration.

It had never occurred to Akemi that one day her own actions could affect someone else so much. Her whole life had been so focused on self preservation, doing what she wanted, that when it came to considering Ravine's feelings she had been ignorant. It had taken him shouting at her after the match with Avalon for Akemi to truly get struck by just what it meant to be in a relationship. There was more than just her own happiness and thoughts at stake. It had finally dawned on her as well that this wasn't the first time she'd worried Ravine, and got herself involved in something that she shouldn't have done. It was the second. The first time had been at the challenge for Avalon...  and then again with Avalon herself.

Guilt overcame the woman at that point. All her anger, all her hatred had melted away and was replaced by that overcoming sense of guilt. Akemi would flee the battlefield, but like Ravine she would not head home immediately. The fact that he had said to not expect him at the den that night had cut her deeply. But Akemi could only imagine how that felt compared to how Ravine had felt. She had not once thought of the danger she put herself in either. Akemi had just... acted. Foolishly acted.

Akemi would slink back towards the gully eventually however, a nagging voice in her head telling her to find Ravine. At least try to apologize. If she didn't at least attempt to do that, then what good was she? As a wife, and as a packmate... she'd done wrong by her mate. If he'd even still allow her to call him that.

Single orb shown with regret as she searched for him, eventually finding him within their new home. But not near the den, likely avoiding it to not upset Tiny. Something Akemi truly appreciated, though she knew it wasn't necessarily for her sake. Her throat felt dry, like someone was holding onto it tightly as she looked upon him. He looked so, so angry. Had her ears still been part of her head they would have been lowered to her skull. She would let out a pitiful whine, speaking softly.

"Ravine?"

Would he even listen to her right now?

Ravine hadnt been laying there glairing at the short, dead grass for long when his wife's small whine would reach him. Aqua orbs would close as he silently cursed his thinking spot for being so easily found. When she softly spoke his name, the man selfishly debated acting as though he never heard her.

It didnt take but a few seconds for him to lift his head and look at her. As soon as he did, Ravine felt bad. He could see the guilt written all over her. He was sure if she still had ears they would be folded back like a chastised pup's. Had he realy been that hard on her? He hadnt thought so, but it made him wonder if Avalon looked just as hurt as Akemi did. In fact he kind of wanted the other woman to feel guilty too.

He didnt care what their fight was about he was mad at them both. Though the way he had reacted made him mad at himself and guilty for saying what he said, the man refused to apologize. The mad had alit to say, but he wasnt sure what he could say without making her feel worse, so he lay there quietly looking at her instead.

And I Know That I
I Sometimes Tend To Lose My Temper
And I Cross The Line
It was in saying nothing at all, in merely looking at her, that Akemi truly felt worse. She would breathe in slowly, shakily, trying to steady her nerves. It was funny how a single wolf could make someone feel this way. Could take everything she thought she knew and flip it upside down. Akemi would fidget on her paws, struggling to find what words to say. She had acted as an idiot not once, but twice now. Acting without speaking to him first... And being just downright reckless. She would close her single eye, a low whimper finally passing her lips.

“I’m so sorry...” She supposed that was the first thing that needed to be said. He needed to know that she recognized what she had done was wrong, and that she felt remorse. Surely she wore that upon her expression as well. She’d open her single eye again only partially, giving a low whine. “I’ve... Made some mistakes lately...” She wanted to draw closer to him, to feel his touch, but she forced herself to keep her distance for now.

“I keep forgetting that things are not as they once were. That this is not the past, and I don’t need to keep fighting everyone over every little thing... And... That there is more at stake than just merely my body existence alone.” The femme would lower her head, recalling his fight with the purple hued woman from Imperium.

#e07f8b“I’m really sorry Ravine... I didn’t realize how much this upset you... How I’ve hurt you. But I wanted to assure you that it won’t happen again. I won’t allow my anger to rule me anymore...” Tears had begun to form in her single red orb. “I don’t want to end up losing you over something so petty as this...”

He would stand quietly as he listened to her speak. He knew she was sorry, she hadnt needed to say it because the guilt and regret were painted on her features. He didnt like the way those emotions looked on her face, it made his  own stomach twist with guilt for causing her to feel this way. Instead of showing that guilt he had to keep himself from shouting when she admitted to knowing she'd made mistakes lately.

He wanted to pull her close to him and tell her he was sorry for yelling at her, for causing her current distress.  But he couldnt. He was still too irritated by her actions and lack of thought before she had launched herself at the alpha of another pack and a woman that he no longer knew if he could call friend. Every now and then Ravine had even wondered what their combined actions had cost Einarr.

She was right in many aspects, things werent they way they were, and it had been quite obvious to Ravine that she didnt realize how her fighting had affected him. But she was also more wrong than she knew. She woukd never loose him because he was upset over something. "Your right, this isnt the past. But your also wrong." he had spoken the words softly as if he were afraid of upsetting her more. A second would pass before the man would move toward her so that they were face to face. "Akemi you cant and wont loose me, you'd have to kill me first."

He would give a small pause to let those words sink in before he said anything else. He wanted her to know that without a doubt he would be there for as long as he drew breath. He may need his space to think every once in a while, but he would never leave her. "I'm your parnter in this life and I will stand at your side and back you up to the best of my ability. But you make that hard when you act before you think. My love, I thought somone had ripped my heart out of my chest when you attacked Valentine because he could have easily killed you. When I found you and Avalon engaged in a fight I was enraged nit just with you but with Avalon as well. She was suppose to be my friend and having her as a previous pack mate made her as close to a sister as ill ever have again." aqua orbs would search her features for a moment before he continued "I'm not asking you to stop fighting, I cant do that because its become a part of who you are. I'm just asking that you choose your battles more carefully."

And I Know That I

Akemi would furrow her brow as Ravine spoke, the words soft yet confusing at the same time. She was wrong, even more than she thought she was already? The woman would give a soft sigh. But, hearing his words, the woman was glad that she was wrong.  Akemi would listen, giving Ravine her full attention as he told her what was on his mind, on his heart. He wasn’t asking her to change, he was just asking for her to choose her battles a bit more carefully. To use a little more of the brain she had. Akemi would silently move closer, resting her head against his taller form.

“I guess I never realized how blessed I truly was. But I do now.” Akemi would whisper. “I’m so glad that I won’t lose you... Cause that thought... Is scarier than any opponent I would dare attempt to face.” Akemi would whisper. She would close her single orb, breathing out slowly. “I’ll just think a little more before I act from now on...” She would find herself smiling through her tears.

“I love you Ravine... And thank you...”

He hadn't wanted to make her cry, but he had seen the tears forming before he had ever voiced his feelings. He needed her to hear what he'd had to say. To understand exactly why he had gotten so angry with her and her response would tell him everything he needed to know.

As she spoke he would give her his full and undivided attention. Every tear that slid down her cheek made his stomach twist in nots, especially because they were caused by him. Because he had accidentally made her think he might leave her. That twisting would only ease as Akemi rested her head on his chest.

Ravine found himself lowering his head to rest it on the back of his wife's neck as she told him she loved him and thanked him, presumably for not leaving. "I love you to Akemi, and I always will." She was everything to him, his entire universe, without her he would be lost.
