The Arrival of dreams
Surreal's desire to create a pack would be turned into reality. He had heard the call of her claim to the Veronica plains – and he could hardly be called surprised that it had been in that territory she had given the call and at last taken claim over it. He knew what that land meant to her, and he was glad she was finally in a position to claim it. He hadn't gone to see her on her day of claiming, he had wanted to give her the time to lay out her rules and claim the members she desired, to settle herself in before he came to her borders to show his support as a fellow Alpha to her rule. Reaching the borders of the pack lands he breathed in the scent of Surreal mingled with her new members, the true borders of a pack land and he smiled for his friend, before he raised his head and gave an official call to leader of this land, so they could discuss the future of both their packs. She was just stretching out the last late waking kink from her spine when she heard a familiar voice calling. Glacier. A smile came to her jaws before she took off at a dignified trot, tail flowing easily above her hips. As she went to greet her friend, she wondered if they had found their missing child. She had joined the search, but try as they might, she and her family had found no signs of a lost pup.
His massive frame came into sight as she gave him a low woof of greeting as she slowed to a halt just within her border, facing the Donostrean leader. She cast a warm smile up at him as she greeted him. "Glacier! How are you and your brother, and Donostrea?" She wanted to ask about the girl, but she wasn't ready to bring a solemn note to this meeting.
Her eyes swept his form, looking him over instinctively for hurts, as any friend would. He was well, strong, and a mountain. She had met very few wolves who surpassed Regulus and Tornach for height.

A call had come to his mother. The voice was familiar; Donostrea. He hadn't met Glacier personally, but he had been part of the detail that had helped look for the little girl. The Future turned to face the call, away from his patrol, and gazed toward it. His mother had said Glacier was even bigger than he was.... He just had to see. So the vibrant red heir turned fully, taking off at a trot.
When he arrived, his mother had already greeted the Donostrean alpha. Regulus slowed as he came along side his mother, stopping just at her shoulder. His haunches lowered to the ground, heavily furred, red tail dragging over the ground in a pleasant wag. His fathomless sapphire eyes studied the male. He was definitely bigger. Neat! Regulus gave a did of his head in respectful greeting, but allowed his mother to do the introductions.

His answer was another answer hidden within; they hadn't found their missing girl. Her heart ached for her friend, and his brother. She knew how it felt to lose a child, especially when there was always that fear at the back of her mind that if they disappeared again, it would be the very last time she saw them alive. Paw steps from behind drew her attention, though she didn't bother to turn her head. It was her son, and her heir to the Pack. His step was as familiar as the breath in her lungs.
She parted her jaws to introduce him, but Glacier beat her to the punch, and a smile grew on her jaws as she nodded. As Glacier turned back to her, she listened to his questions. A nod dipped her muzzle a fraction, the warm smile still settled on her features as she answered, "We are... We have Miksa and Varda from Threar among us. Miksa is my pupil in fighting. Bright young fellow, if slightly shy. My brother has found his way back... But my younger son..." She fought to keep her voice level, at this point, and Regulus shifted beside her, brushing a powerful shoulder against hers. She shook her head, batting away the thoughts. "He's taken his own path, I suppose... Anyways, I'm considering holding a festival soon." She put on a bright smile and looked up at the Elementas male.
"I'm still very interested in an alliance between our packs, or at the very least a good friendship." She wondered if this was one of the reasons for his visit. It certainly would save her a trip.

Regulus fell silent, and Surreal noted his quiet interest as she and Glacier conferred. Glacier's answer was met with a warm nod, but his query as to Frith brought a sad sigh. "No... I haven't heard of him, nor of Novella since the Challenge. I intend to drop by Abaven once the rivers are down and see if Bass has heard of them, and to let him know Varda's alright."
A soft nod was given to the Donostrean alpha's hopes for returns, a soft sigh hissing from parted jaws. As they turned to happier subjects, Surreal's smile returned in full force. "Congratulations to all of you. My eldest born daughter, Zuriel, had the idea for marriages being a custom in Celestial. We haven't any young couples, though. Not yet." The grin brightened as she looked him over. "Any new lives for Donostrea?"

Surreal nodded at Glacier's request, adding "Of course I will." The Donostrean alpha had seen Frith as a friend as well; it would only be right to keep him in the loop.
As Glacier agreed, then gushed about his daughters, Surreal listened with a warm smile. It pleased her to hear that her friend had found someone, and had two beautiful daughters to chase and protect. "Most certainly. Children do have a knack for getting into trouble..." Here, she cast her eldest son a knowing look. noting the embarrassed shift of his weight from paw to paw. Oh, yes, he knew what she was referring to; his trip to the south and near miss with a boar.
He still bore the mark, a crescent scar on his left shoulder, overlaid with four large claw marks. She'd had no trouble believing him when he'd told her he'd nmet a huge cat on the battlefield. Her mother had made a deal once with a Mountain Lion, giving her a place to live in one of the territories Valhalla had governed under Erani's rule. It had been, perhaps, the widest ranged holding Valhalla had laid claim to.
"Have you given thought to my idea to help train Donostrea to fight?" She had no wish to hear of Donostrea being raided because they were deemed no threat to a raiding party.
