Lillie wasn't having sudge an easy time with the thicket; she kept tripping on odds and ends... thankfully she was able to always catch herself before she got a face in the mud. She had to admit; she envied Lark's longer stride and easier time of travel. But then again she was tiny enough against him to easily crawl under his belly and stand there with only her head lowered. It was weird. Walking under another wolf... or just being under another wolf... oh, wait, what?

Embarrassment made her ears flick back, nevermind the fact that the male never heard them to begin with. Didn't matter, she thought that. Wait, she was still thinking about that. Damnit! Thankfully, Lark would speak and save her - and distract her in a completely different way thank goodness. She could stop thinking about being under hi... or not. Fuck. Nope she wasn't doing that. In all senses of that word. Most likely. Probably. Hopefully. Not. Hopefully not? She didn't know anymore, though her tail would whisk to the side subconsciously; spreading her heat scent like adding leaves to a forest fire.

Ears pricking back fully, she would force herself to listen - and when she did she'd look up at him excitedly, tail starting to wag. Okay, yep, she was fully distracted again. Well, distracted from the distraction. "That's a brilliant idea, Lark!" Why didn't she think of that? No matter; it was brilliant! Finch's beloved possessisons out of the dirt... but hmm, where to get it?

She was already lost in thought when Lark commented and asked, and she'd hum in response to him speaking. Didn't have anything yet. Wait... wait a second. Raba... exploring. "Yes!" She jerked her head up to meet his olive-colored eyes. "Yes," she repeated more calmly. "It was in the West - I was with Raba, back before she joined Abaven. I was exploring; we were going to explore an area much like that. We chose not to explore fully, though, because there were lots of sharp things but that might be a good place? It does have a weird smell, though." A container, yes, ohh, perfect place.

"speech"

Luckily, the thicket wasn't as bad as it would soon get. With spring here, the grasses and vegetation had quickly sprouted up, but he knew summer would only make things worse. He grumbled a bit as his paws caught on a particularly annoying bit of foliage and he tugged it free before stumbling. He didn't have the reputation for being graceful, but he didn't feel like falling on his face and having Lillie hold that over his head for however long she might want to. Another slight huff of irritation left his lips as he wrangled his back left paw free from another snagged cluster of grass, eyeing Lillie. She had a strange look on her face, one he couldn't quite place, and his brows furrowed as he cast his stare away again.

She exclaimed something suddenly, after a long moment of silence. Yes? She knew somewhere with things like that? His own ears perked, his tail flicking where it lay behind him, in mild excitement. Finch would definitely be pleased if he brought her something like that! "How far away is it?" Lark would inquire with a quirk of his brow as he eyed her. "Like.. an hour? Or a couple hours?" It didn't really matter how long it took, if it had something that she thought Finch would really like - and use to put all of her pretties in - he was willing to take the trip. Even with Lillianna.

Okay, nevermind.... apparently she wasn't the only one having problems. Lark would trip, and her eyes would sparkle with a clear and open amusement as he did so, a slight grin coming to her face as she watched him. He'd huff, and she'd resist laughter. There wasn't any mockery in hr gaze, though, as she met his eyes briefly before he looked away.

Her own tail would wag in response to his; it seemed she got his excitement, his attention, and if she could she'd be purring. But then he'd ask how far away - and she'd wilt slightly. And specifics. It took her most of the day to get over to the west. "Ah... It took most of the day for me to get over to the west since it's across the continent," she would answer with a small sigh. "And I ended up spending the night nearby after Raba and I split up - didn't want to travel during the night after travelling all day."

The brute nearly rolled his eyes as he caught her laughing at him. He definitely was not graceful, and didn't claim to ever be, but he suddenly found himself fumbling a bit more than usual. He found himself feeling a bit less clear-headed than he generally did. After all, he hadn't planned on spending the day with Lillianna. Maybe getting into another fight with her, sure, but not.. this. Not planning a day trip with her.

It'd take them.. a whole day? He frowned slightly. Spending a day with her didn't sound like the worst thing he could do, but he wasn't used to spending thay much time with anyone . "Wow," he said simply, thinking over it for a long moment as they wandered aimlessly. It was a really long journey, but who knew what they could find there - and how happy a special gift could make Finch "I guess we can go."

Lillianna would definitely concur if she heard his thoughts; she had no clue - no prediction - that this would occur. It did kind of scare her - the relationship between her and Lark was volatile at best, and she didn't want to destroy the tenuous strand of friendliness they happened to create. Although... that trip could, well, strengthen it instead of destroy it.

She'd keep her eyes focused on the tall form of the boy - man, thing, whatever - noting as he frowned, mulling over her words. She would simply walk next to him, taking care with how she stepped so she didn't do what Lark did. When he finally - reluctantly it seemed - acquiesced to go, she felt slightly uneasy; she didn't want him to go if he didn't want to but she knew some would get angry if she said they didn't have to so she just... kept her mouth shut, nodding slightly. However, her emotional turmoil wasn't very well hidden from her eyes, if Lark deigned to look. But then she had to speak, to give information, and she sighed softly. "Alright. I know the way and how to get there; have you ever explored in the West? "

Lark wasn't really prone to dwelling on his feelings for too long. Generally, he felt a certain way about something, and.. that was that. How he felt about Lillie though was something different - he liked her company, especially today, but she annoyed him and infuriated him a bit at times. Or, at least she had before, and he had no doubt she would again. He was unused to stubbornness that mirrored his own, but he had no will to question it too much. He wasn't having a terrible time - hell, he'd even smiled a few times - so he figured spending the day with her wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen to him.

But.. a whole day could be a long time. What if they got pissed off at each other? He supposed he could find his way home alone, since he certainly wouldn't sulk and angst over it walking beside her, but it didn't sound like the funnest thing he'd ever done. But maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't turn out like that. He eyed her again, shaking his head at her question. "Nope," he admitted easily. He was no explorer, no great adventurer - he'd kept close to Abaven's territories for all his life, and had no shame saying it. "I haven't gone far at all. Maybe a few hours from home. But not that far."

He admitted to not exploring easily - though Lillianna's eyes would widen. "That definitely has to change," she swore to him, nodding firmly. How could one be okay with not exploring? She'd go nuts, not traveling. Absolutely nuts. She shook her head as he went on to elaborate. "Well, we'll fix that," she muttered, shaking her head again. Eyes brightening, though, she switched their directions abruptly - taking charge, taking lead. "It's this way. We'll have to cross the river, though, which will be a pain..." Especially with it swollen. She'd done that many times, though most of the time she did it because it was a time consumer. Of course, now she wished the river wasn't flooded, because it will take a long time to get across it.
