Ásvor was feeling.. mischevious. Winter had faded from the north, and she found the temperatures outside were far more enjoyable now. Feeling more confident about leaving the den, and straying away from her siblings, she found herself sneaking away while they slept. The girl felt a rush of adrenaline at being on her own, and her pawsteps were quiet as she crept through the tall redwood trees. Her nose twitched as she took in the scents that surrounded her. Each wolf had their own unique aroma, and she wondered which to follow.. if any. One belonged to her uncle, and though she didn't know him, she wondered if he was awake.

Curious, and feeling her pride temporarily inflated by her newfound freedom, she trailed after it. It was likely he wasn't awake, she concluded, as it was the middle of the night and most were asleep by now. She shuddered briefly as a bitter wind whipped across his pelt, her eyes piercing the darkness as she searched around her. She began moving in the direction of Kapra's den, noting that while his scent grew stronger as she got closer, it was not that strong. Upon locating it, after a brief journey weaving between the redwoods, she realized he was not actually inside.

Warily she would peer into his den, noting it smelled a bit funny. Like some kind of plant. She made sure he wasn't in there before poking her nose in, her head dropping toward the earth as she easily located a bundle of.. something? Some kind of plant. Feeling quite inquisitive, she'd nose the herbs for a moment before deciding she wanted them. She didn't want to eat them.. or really do anything with them.. but she wondered if she might get caught. Without thinking of the consequences, the girl would snatch up the bundle of plant material and slip quickly from his den back into the night.

Why was it still cold. Why were the nights still so cold? Hani was not prepared for this. Her fur was still too thin. She shivered. She should have been curled up somewhere warm, but she wasn't. She was walking around in the bitter cold of the night. There was a noise. Instinctively, Hani turned to look at it.

There was one of the new pups snooping around. Hani followed it at a distance. It was still terribly cold. Hani hated it. The young wolf peered inside Kapra's den, then came out with a bundle of something. Herbs. Hani's eyes widened. She stalked forward into the night, gaining on the young girl. Coming around the pup's left side, Hani called forth, "Stop." It wasn't a loud call, nor really a command. Her voice was rough from not being used, "What have you got?" She was more curious about the herbs than whether the pup was doing right or wrong. Did the pup even know what it had?

Though feeling quite proud of herself and her sneaky ways - she'd not only made her way from her den and her siblings without waking any of them up, let alone into her uncle Kapra's den unnoticed - she hadn't envisioned the possibility of being caught. The sudden voice of someone made her jump visibly, and she reeled away quickly to Hani. She hadn't expected that this was even within the realm of possibility, as her mind was still quite naive, and she frowned at the unexpected company. The woman wasn't familiar to her, though she'd seen her. She struck her as someone.. lowly? Maybe? She wasn't involved in her own life, so she could only expect she was below her somehow.

"Why?" She'd snap back at the almost-stranger quickly at the demand. She would listen to her mother and her father, and maybe her siblings on occasion, but not some random lady. Asvor felt her fur bristle in instinctive defiance. "Ith none of your bithneth," she would say between a hefty mouthful of plant matter, quickly and defensively - though she likely looked a bit silly since she was still quite young. She felt fierce though and her tail would flick behind her in irritation. This was hers, she had decided, and she was not giving it up.
