Being a father and an Alpha was more then just a full time job, it was an experience that made him feel like if he wasn't in two places at once then something wasn't going right. Teaching the pack about Aurora's method of communication was also an exhausting task, through one made easier after talking to his litter mate. Not to mention it was much harder to call home a deaf girl when he was certain she was out there up to no doubt. Not that that made a difference with Sera, is his oldest had a hearing problem it would be filed under 'selective'

He shook his head, struggling not to trip over his own feet as he patrolled along the Prairie. He hoped Aurora and Ray where still where he had left them – participating in their first hunting lesson with their mother. As much as he wanted to be there, he knew that there attention would be captivated and they would be moderately behaved for a little while – a rare occurrence for the father and a situation he would take advantage of to catch up on patrols and examining their food cache and inspecting the beach for signs of the tide leaving, among many other alpha duties he had been lacking in completing of late.

He wore a path across the border, sniffing at the one that linked him to Ren with a smile, before slowing at the beach side. He slowed and walked a more leisurely pace here, paying careful attention to the water, until he was certain their where signs that it was no longer as high against the bank that led to the prairie as it had been.

Locha Elementas

Locha had, despite a few wanders from the territory now and then, been very dilligent about her rank as Aquaelus, especially now that it's importance was key. She often spent time down by the cliffsides, trying to pick a path down to the water that now submerged her family's home. Once, she'd been brave enough to dare a jump down, and what she'd seen had been astounding. Some of the caves had been packed full of sand, and where Locha herself had slept of some occasion was now home to a school of fish! Of course, when the water left most of the damage would leave with the retreating water, but there was no doubt everyone would have to get involved with the cleanup.

It was at the prairie's edge she now stood, fur dripping with sea water as she gazed down at the beach. The water were retreating steadily and it was now easier to make the jump down, but she wouldn't allow a weaker swimmer than herself try it. Two fish lay at her feet, the remnants of the treat she'd caught while down there. She'd definitely craved their saltiness.

His slow stroll along the water would bring Locha eventually into his line of sight. She struck a typical figure, a silhouette against the sunlight behind her. He didn't have to sniff as he approached to know she had been swimming, and the fish beside her gave him little surprise. He grinned easily, strolled up to his soaking sister and rubbed his head against her cheek, coming away with the scent of salt on his fur. “Did you catch me breakfast? I'm starving” he teased her. Well Anais had been pregnant and suckling their newborns Locha had been the primary hunter in their pack. Her rank as life guard by the ocean side hadn't exactly been intended as a hunting role, but she always went the extra mile and kept their bellies full.

Now that Anais was back on her feet, and teaching a new generation of hunters (this was thought with a certain amount of pride) Locha didn't have to carry the burden of feeding their pack alone. “Discovered anything interesting down there? I dont suppose you've found any of Voltage's rock collection” he wondered, still teasing. Poor Volt, likely his entire collection, something he had been proud of, was gone.

Locha Elementas

Locha didn't even have to turn to tell who was approaching her. The heavy gait and a well-known scent faintly mixed with the faint whiff of pups was enough to be certain. As her big brother walked up beside her, rubbing his head against her cheek, she turned to look at him with a smile. The new father had certainly been busy lately, and she didn;t blame him. The woman could see how busy his children made him, but she could also clearly see the love he had for them both and Anais. She hoped to to have that for herself someday, but she wasn't getting any younger.

“Did you catch me breakfast? I'm starving” Glace teased. Huffing and rolling her eyes, Locha turned, hitting a paw against his belly.
"Are you sure you need it, Old Man?" she said, equally as teasing before knocking a fish over to him.
“Discovered anything interesting down there? I dont suppose you've found any of Voltage's rock collection” Returning her gaze to the water, Locha shook her head with a faint sigh, although amusemt sparkled in her eyes at the mention of her brothers' rock collection. The woman sat down, scooching closer to her brother to lean on him.
"All I can say for now is that it's gonna be one hell of a cleanup job. The wtaers are definitely receding though. And once they do , you can catch your own breakfast" she giggled

“Oof” he said as she poked his belly accusingly. He took it in stride, grinning easily back at her and rubbing the spot she had jabbed. “Hey, easy on the fat, I just had children you know!” he teased, holding back a laugh. Like he could take credit for the hard work and suffering it had taken Anais to carry and give birth.

“Besides, don't judge your elders. Where wiser then you” he eyes danced with his laughter as he took a seat beside her, eyes moving to look over the swollen ocean before them. She passed one of the fish over to him and he gratefully accepted it. In truth, he really was starving! He was so busy these days he couldn't always remember if he had actually eaten, it got drowned among his other responsibilities. He dug into the fish, enjoying the salty flesh and casting aside his bones, making quick work of the small meal.

Locha would scootch closer before she spoke, as even as she began to talk, he would start resting his own weight on her. Slowly increasing how much he was leaning against her as he attempted to gently knock her over. “But its so much more fun if you catch it for me” he said, before a touch of responsibility creeped into his tone. “I don't doubt that, through I imagine you can see the scope of it better then we can. It will take a bit of effort, but we can work together” he mused softly.

Locha Elementas

Rolling her eyes once again at her brothers fake injury as he nursed his "sore" belly, Locha sighed, leaning a bit more on her brother.
"Och, sure. You're older, but I'm not so sure about wiser ,"she retorted, her smile taking any bite out of the teasing comment. Watching as her brother quickly devoured his meal, she could tell that the giant was still hungry, although with the weight of him leaning on her you wouldn't be able to tell. She chose to ignore his comment about breakfast, Yeah, right.
“I don't doubt that, through I imagine you can see the scoop of it better then we can. It will take a bit of effort, but we can work together” her brother said in a more serious tone and Locha nodded, looking down to the remaining fish. Lifting her paw, she quickly nudged it over to her brother, but she didn't predict how much he was leaning on her until it was to late and she topped over onto the grass. Slightly stunned, Locha looked up at her brother from her back, all four paws in the air with a mix of annoyance, surprise and playfulness.

Glacier could only grin at her comment, shaking his head. Scary thing was, they where all getting older. He was over half way through his life, and Locha wasn't far being him. Contemplating age at this point was a terrifying experience and he swatted the thought away. He still had a long while left, and an entire world to live for.

The act of nudging the fish over to him would be her downfall, he pressed the tiniest bit more weight against her as she lifted her paw and she toppled over. He started to fall to as well, but managed to catch himself with a well placed paw. He looked down at her, where she lay on her back, four paws dangling in the air, and his grin only broadened. “Why thank you, don't mind if I do” he commented, and made quick work of the remaining fish. Spitting out bones he stood up with a groan, parts of his body clicking with the movement. He circled his sister, his expression thoughtful, contemplating, and he decided what to do. In the end he stuck his paw into her side in an attempt to roll her. They where close enough to the water that if he succeeded she would land in the shallow part of the tide.

Locha Elementas

Locha saw her brothers grin as he triumphed in pushing her over, narrowing her eyes playfully. She bared her teeth at his comment and as he downed the fast, the woman readied herself to get up, but before she could her older brother was already standing, popping joints and all. Her blue eyes trailed him, but before she could move herself out of the way, the giant jabbed his massive blue paw into her side (not unlike what she had done only a few minutes before). Eyes flicking to where her brother was trying to push her, Locha smirked and rolled into the push, staright into the water. Quick as an eel, she stood, not giving her big brother a chance to do anything else. A challenge in her eyes, she dared him to close closer, tail swishing behind her.

She looked more cute then fearful bearing her teeth. He didn't associate Locha with fierceness, but rather a gentle strength, wisdom, and a whole lot of playful. His roll was successful, but just as he was strong, she was quick. She was on her feet in a flash, and her eyes where daring. He took a hesitant step forward, knowing the water was her turf, and upon entering it she would be at her strongest, most at home.

He was heavy, and most assuredly a slow swimmer. It took a lot of effort to keep his bulk above the water line. All the same, he wasn't one to back down form a challenge and he took another step forward, this time into the water, feeling the cool liquid pool about his feet. He jumped forward then, well they where still in shallow water. He aimed to knock her over again, and as he leaped he simple said “Boo!”

Locha Elementas

Locha smirked as her brother took a step forward, the water soaking his paws. She knew she was at an advantage here in the sea. When the woman swam, she just felt so much lighter, in both body and mind. The ocean was endless, and so were it's possibilities. One of the possibilities just so happened to be that it was a great stage for a water fight! Locha saw the bunching of Glace's muscles before he jumped.
"Boo!"
His aim was obvious, but Loch succumbed to it nonetheless. Down she went tumbling into the water, but not before angling herself so that a massive splash of water would go straight for her brother as she landed. As soon as she hit the sand Locha was up again, her fur sopping wet. Running around her brother, she readied herself for a run. Muscles bunching she sprang, hoping to knock her brother over with the force of her jump.

There was a rush of relief when his pounce landed. Ah ha! He had her! He could beat her at her own game, here in the water. But as he went down, he would see her skillful maneuvering and he lost his senses for a moment as water covered him, and as he coughed, spitting out salty water, she would slip away from him. They where still in the shallow end of the sea and there was plenty enough sand mixed in with his mouth full. He occupied with that and didn't see her own leap coming. Her entire weight went into it, and he could have held ground if he truly tried – but he didn't.

He let her knock him over, back into the water. He landed on his stomach, the under half of his body in the water, and he bucked his back in an attempt to throw her off, back into the water.
