Razor was indeed staring at a snail at the moment. The creature had come out of the grass to crawl on a rock. It was boredom that made him draw to it. He had finished his usual exercise, and rounds of the territory as well and without a hitch. His black tail wiggled behind him as he recited a few words in Japanese. They went through several elements "Yuki" for snow, "Denki" for lightning as well as within the connotation of the god of guidance. He did it in a song like pattern simply for his own mind as he followed the snails movements. His whispering voice stopped though when his head perked when he had thought that he heard a noise.

Of course Razor could have been hearing things, his eyes narrowed. Despite his age he still sometimes felt very pup like and that made him want to play. However he didn't play like the other children, knowledge was his own key. Again he went back to the snail. "Haya sugite itte imasen(Don't go to fast)" he said to the snail.

Ever since the challenge, Amalia didn't quite feel the same. She felt like she was without closure, and part of her wanted to go and track Bacchus down. Ask him why he did what he did, and see if Leo's thoughts had been correct. Was he just trying to get his family back in his own messed up way? She didn't know, and her red ears pressed back against her skull. She didn't know what to do, and for the first time in a long time, she felt lost. Really and truly lost. A heavy sigh left her lips as she wandered aimlessly across the Mangrove, not sure what to do with herself. Maybe she should go and try to find some herbs, focus on healing. It seemed to be her go to thing when she was dealing with an issue, delve into her herbs. It's what she did when the boys first went missing, what she did after she heard about Arian. It was her safety net, something that was always there for her. Amalia was about to go and look for something, anything, when she saw Razor. A small smile touched her lips as she saw him talking to a snail, and she slowly made her way to her side. The tiny woman sat at his side, trying to lean lightly against him. Gazing down at the snail, she said nothing, just enjoyed the warmth of him beside her.

He probably would have continued with this snail until it went back into the grass, but because he hadn't been paying attention he sort of froze when his aunt leaned against him without a word. Razor looked at her for a moment, the smaller woman worried him a bit. Frowning slightly, he knew silence was also his own way of communication. It must have been something to do with the challenge. He didn't know anything about it really, as his black tail twitched - his brain racked through ways to make Amalia feel better already. The confused look on his face trying to concentrate.

"*kishi kaisei" he said softly as he smiled a little and rubbed his face against Amalia. He knew that she couldn't understand him, but it was a reassuring phrase none the less. As he looked back towards the snail he made sure to stand strong so that his aunt could lean against him. "He's so small and slow, but he looks like he doesn't have a care in the world." he whispered softly.

*Literally: Wake from death and return to life
Meaning: To come out of a desperate situation and make a complete return in one sudden burst.

They sat in silence for a little bit, until Razor said something that she didn't understand. But he leaned down and brushed against her face, making her lean into his touch. A soft hum rumbled in her throat as she was allowed to press into him. They both looked back down to the snail, who was very slowly crawling away. Razor's words made her ears twitch, looking at him out of the corner of her eye. He was right, the snail was so fragile, one misstep would leave it crushed beneath your paw. And yet, it didn't move fast at all. It just slowly made its way towards where it wanted to go, never breaking pace. "Its amazing what we can learn from a creature so small and breakable," she replied in a whisper. Amalia leaned down and gently bumped her nose against its smooth shell, but still it moved no faster. A soft laugh left her lips, turning to look up at her nephew. A small smile was offered to him as she righted herself, a sigh rushing out of her lungs. "What do you do when you feel so lost, Razor?" she asked softly, eyes carefully staying on the snail.

Razor smiled softly watching her touch the Snail. To no avail did it make an effort to go faster. However that wasn't what made him smile, it was watching Amalia that did. Her laugh made him feel more relaxed, just the sound of it was rather comforting. Yet a sigh left her lips as she went to turn to him, his ears perked forward. If it was for once, he felt strong when he sat with her. She asked one of the hardest questions that any wolf could ask. Making him look a little surprised for a moment as he took his time to think in order to answer her.

"I usually pray to the gods. Mainly Denki - he's the god of guidance in the snowlit religion. But it's a one sided conversation." he laughed softly. His blue eyes looked softly at Amalia. "Being lost is only part of being found - if you count your blessing and accept your curses maybe that would put you more at ease. Whatever you think is right, is okay." it was the first time he had spoken to her like this. Previously from a scared boy just in awe of her healing skills.

Razor really seemed to be weighing out the question that she asked, and she appreciated the boy for truly wanting to help her. She knew that what she asked wasn't easy, and that it also gave him a glance into her heart and her true feelings. Never before had Amalia had to deal with emotions quite like this before, and she was quite at a loss for how to deal with it. She was sure that Athena was going through something similar, but she couldn't drag her further down with her own feelings. When he spoke her ears pulled to attention, a small smile touching her lips. Yes, talking with a deity would be a rather one sided chat. They never seemed to answer back. But his next words really sent Amalia into shock, her eyes opened wider as her gaze searched her face. They were such wise words coming from a boy of his age. It was an emotional part of him that those word came from, as if from experience. "You're growing up right before my eyes, Razor. Your mother would be so proud of you," she said softly, leaning forward to try and place a kiss on his shoulder. When she pulled herself up, she shook herself as if to scatter the heavy emotions. "Now, enough of that. Shall we do something, just you and I? What would you like to do?"

The boy seemed a bit surprised by the praise. Though it was much appreciated, as Razor blinked for a moment he couldn't help but to think to himself. He wanted to be proud of him - that was one of his major goals in his life. He couldn't do much, so if anything at all that was what he would offer. Amalia changed the subject though, something for the two of them to do together? Well Razor was never one for herbs, and he highly doubted that she wanted to hear him spouting off about the stars or the gods. His ears flicked for a moment. "Do you want to learn some japanese?" he asked with a soft smile.

"It's my mothers native language." a connection with his roots as well. The language itself made him feel comfortable. At times he did end up defaulting to it rather than his usual english tongue. He already spoke softly, but japanese settle him at ease. Teaching it to Amalia wouldn't be too difficult and it would be fun as well. Unless it bored her, then they could move onto something else.

When her nephew brought up teaching her another language, she blinked softly. She often forgot that her sister had spoken Japanese, of course she would have passed it down to her children. A larger smile split her lips, and she nodded her head. "I would really enjoy that," she said softly, scooting closer to Razor. She looked up at his similar coloured eyes, her own twinkling with delight. "That is, if you think you can teach an old wolf some new tricks," she teased. Really, it had been awhile since she had learned about anything besides healing. Would there even be any room in her brain for a whole other language? She had to admit though, she was excited.
