Hunting was so boring when one could scavenge. Why put forth the effort, when there was a perfectly dead carcass sitting before her now? Some might be picky about their meals, but her rogue-based lifestyle made Medusa an opportunist. Hell, her personality alone made her an opportunist. Therefore the woman found herself eating the leftovers of a deer carcass, the meal not quite fresh but not too old either. She wasn?t certain what creature had brought about its demise, but it didn?t seem to be older than day. The woman ate slowly, taking her time.
She?d had many such meals since her arrival to Ludicael. Medusa was not the sort to participate in pack events, and therefore felt bad when she took things from Jupiter she hadn?t earned. She could care less about the rest of the pack, but for some reason the russet alpha cared for them, and therefore the midnight mistress did her best to look after herself. Scavenging was easiest, especially for one as lazy as herself, and it had already started to put a bit of meat upon her bones. For now she paid no mind to her surroundings, not worried if anybody should approach.

"Enjoying your kill?"

The thick Greek accent rolled easily off his tongue. Glacial blue eyes rested upon the black female. Eyes rested upon the slowly rotting carcass. It wasn't fresh but neither was it freshly killed. Was she took lazy to catch something on her own? Even he, who could not run fast but instead was purely muscle, could catch things using tactics and very minimal energy. Or did she have other reasons? Regardless he wasn't going to be the one to ask. He really didn't care one way or another. He didn't even care if she was enjoying the meal she had taken over.

Chocolate and white body came to a halt and he made himself comfortable a little ways away from her. White and brown tail curled gently at his side as he sat rigid and barely moved resembling that of a boulder. He was an odd wolf. Much different than most. Emotionless described him. He swayed to neither side so essentially he was neither good nor evil. He could fit comfortably in either environment. He did things for others. If the price was right he would do pretty much anything. Needed someone to be killed he could do that. Needed an ambassador for a diplomatic meeting. He could do that too. Other than being a killer he could also be quite civil and actually had a brain unlike most he seemed to come across.

The words did not startle her, but rather distracted the harlot from her meal. Immediately her eyes dissected him, noting his markings, his build, his eyes, memorizing the details that made him him. Medusa was not a woman who easily forgot a face. She liked to analyze, to memorize, to twist and manipulate wherever possible. "It is not my kill, but I am enjoying it nonetheless. Care for a snack, sweetheart? I might have to charge,? she purred. Medusa was the sort of woman who was easy predict; she flirted or teased, or did a combination. Rarely did her interactions vary, unless she was speaking with a child. In such a case, she was likely to simply walk away.

"See something you like?? she would tease. It seemed as if he was staring, although she wouldn?t assume much just yet. Perhaps he was a hungry rogue; if so she was content to share. For a price, of course. Medusa was an opportunist in every way, after all.

Her tones were dark and seductive. Trying to lure him in it seemed. She would get no rise from him. He remained where he sat watching her with silent observing eyes. His expression was vacant. It was almost as if he was a part of the earth. Only the movements of his chest, his colors, and the shifting of his eyes really portrayed that he wasn't some sort of statue. Her offer was intriguing. He was not opposed to snacking off of a carcass occasionally, although the majority of the time he preferred catching his own meals. Nothing beat the thrill of a chase and taking down another animal. Killing. That was what he thoroughly enjoyed, if enjoy was the right word for it.

"And if I accept your offer what would that charge be? I myself don't do deeds without a reward."

Had he been any other wolf her next set of words would have surprised him. Ears flicked as she spoke. So she had noticed he was staring? He wasn't surprised. It would take an imbecile not to notice. It wasn't as if he thought she was beautiful. In fact he didn't have much of an opinion for her at all. He preferred memorizing things in perfect detail. Any scars she may have. Her face. Her body structure. How she spoke. How she carried herself. Her eye color. Fur color. Any detail down the the tiniest thing would be remembered. Even her scent and voice was already logged into his memory. He would not forget her.

"Merely observing. I don't run into many. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. You certainly won't be forgotten."
