The young man was unsuccessful in finding his brothers. Both of them had disappeared, much to his dismay. It seemed so strange how they’d been there at the challenge and then... Vitus shook his head. He had trailed after Archie until his trail went cold, and there was no sign of Bacchus at all. Carlise had not been able to spy the two brothers from the air either. It was as if both had vanished without a single trace. So once more Vitus turned his sights towards Fiori. He longed to see his mothers again, Tib, and his new little sisters. That was if he would be welcome. Sure he hadn’t rejoined officially last time, but would they be able to trust that he’d stay this time? The thought made him feel worried and sick inside. He did not want to be seen as a burden to his family. Didn’t want to seem like he was just coming back to disappear again. It would take time to prove to them he was here to stay this time. But then again actions had always been easier for him to show than words. The male arrived at the borders with uncertainty. It was Carlisle who had encourage the man to make his way back home. Vitus let out a soft sigh; Here they went again. He raised his muzzle to the sky, giving a short, raspy howl for his family once more. Would Athena be the only one to show again? Jayne's dark slate-blue tipped ears perked at the sound of a strangely short howl and she listened to it curiously. She just so happened to be near the border when she heard it. She knew she wasn't supposed to answer calls like that, that was Uncle Leo's job, but it kind of sounded like whoever it was had called for her mothers... Maybe she imagined it. But, just in case she hadn't, she made her way toward the visitor, too curious to resist at least sneaking a peek of who it was. She was careful to stay behind trees and bushes as she got closer, peeking around them at the blue-hued man that was waiting there. He looked awfully familiar... Suddenly the memories from Uncle Leo's challenge hit her and she realized he had been there. She got as close as she could while still being out of sight and she looked at him curiously, her expression quizzical as she looked him over. He had the same kind of eyes as Mom, all red and green split down the middle. His legs had silver on each of them like Tiburtius too. She slipped out from behind the trees and padded closer to him cautiously. She still didn't know who he was and she knew she wasn't supposed to talk to strangers, but... "Hello... That certainly wasn't a voice he had been expecting. His head snapped up at Vitus' howl, his familiar voice jerking him away from his ever-present musing and worrying. Well, he had wanted a distraction and now he supposed he had one. It seemed like every time he got around to accepting the fact that his brothers were never coming back one of them mysteriously reappeared out of the woodwork. He took a moment to take a deep breath and steady himself. He didn't want to go into this the same way he had when he found Bacchus that first time. He still partially blamed himself for how things with Bacchus had fallen apart and he didn't want to drive another of his brothers away. He turned and hurried toward where Vitus had called from. He had expected to either be first to arrive or perhaps right behind one of his mothers, but a different gray figure was there than Athena. He padded up to them just in time to hear Jayne ask if he was her brother. He was still amazed by how observant she was sometimes. "He is," he replied for him as he came over to stand next to his little sister. His two-toned gaze lingered on his brother as he gave Vitus a tired smile. "Jayne, this is Vitus... Athena's ears twitched at her son's howl and as she turned her head to look in the direction it came from a huge wave of relief washed over her. No matter how many times her sons came and left she would never stop feeling relieved when they returned. She loved all of her sons equally, but she had always had a particularly soft spot for Vitus. A smile stretched across her lips and she turned to hurry toward the border. She almost wished her and Amalia's den was closer to the border so Vitus wouldn't be kept waiting as long. Luckily it seemed her other children had already arrived to keep him company. Her tail was wagging behind her happily as she trotted over to them, a huge grin stretching across her muzzle when she saw that Vitus was all in one piece and well. She immediately went to Vitus and pressed her face to his neck, a relieved sigh passing her lips. "Welcome back, Vitus. I've missed you." "Burn Baby Burn"

The male was left waiting for a small amount of time before the first arrival came to greet him. A little girl, silver and white, approached, asking if he was her brother. Vitus arched a brow... How... How was he supposed to answer that? Did his mothers have another litter? He hadn’t gotten the chance to get many updates from Athena before Bacchus called his challenge... He flicked his ears back slightly, parting his lips but hesitating. Talking was not something done easily for the brute. Perhaps Carlisle...? He glanced for the owl, finding that Carlisle had winged down to the earth and was resting off to his right. The intelligent creature looked upon the young maiden, head tilting to the side. Yet before Carlisle had a chance to inquire anything Tib showed up, confirming it for them all. They were siblings. Vitus shifted his gaze to Tiburtius. He dipped his head, offering a small smile to both his littermate and apparent younger sibling. “You too.” He looked at Jayne next, dipping his head. “Nice to meet you.” Carlisle fluttered a bit closer to his wolf companion. “Dreadfully sorry about disappearing you know.” The owl was going to continue on when he spied Athena. A heartbeat later Vitus noticed her too. As she embraced him the young man wrapped his head around her neck, closing his eyes. “...and I you, mother.” He spoke shorter sentences, voice quiet to not put too much additional strain on his throat. “As I was going to say... Our apologies for wandering off. Vitus was determined after the challenge to find Bacchus and Archie but alas it seems the search was all for naught. He wanted to keep searching to bring them both home but I figured it would be best to return to Boreas before you thought they were all lost... And here we are.” "Burn Baby Burn"

ooc: just going to pop Leo in here real quick so we can get him accepted ;D Leo listened to the howl that came from the border with interest and he was fairly certain he recognized the voice, but didn't want to assume before he went to see who it was. He wasn't in as much of a hurry as he typically was to greet someone at the border and it turned out that was probably a good thing once he saw the small crowd that had already gathered by the time he arrived. He padded over to stand on the opposite side of Athena from Jayne and Tiburtius, quickly realizing that it was one of Athena's sons that had called for them. This was certainly a pleasant surprise! He gave everyone in the group a big smile before letting his gaze linger on Vitus and the owl that was perched beside him. "Well, welcome back! I won't interrupt your reunion too much. The man in front of her didn't seem to have an answer for her either, but luckily Tiburtius showed up and cleared up the mystery for them both. So she had been right! She glanced from Tib to Vitus as he introduced them both, giving Vitus a smile and nodding in agreement when he said it was nice to meet her. Her tail wagged behind her happily. She had heard so much about her siblings from her mothers, but she hadn't met any of them besides Tib up until now. Technically she had seen them all at Uncle Leo's challenge she guessed, but she had been so young then and there had been so much chaos that she didn't remember most of it. Her mother arrived next and she smiled as she watched her reunite with Vitus. She leaned into Tib's shoulder happily. She was pretty sure all of her siblings and herself just liked seeing their mothers happy. Her bright gaze fell on the owl that had landed at Vitus' side with interest, her ears perking forward as she listened to the bird's explanation for their disappearance. Her head tipped to the side a bit as she listened, wondering quietly why the bird was talking far more than Vitus was. She didn't ask though since Leo arrived moments later. She settled on her haunches to wait for everything to be settled so maybe she could find out more about the owl that she was very, very curious about. "Talk" "You" Think

No matter how he may feel about his brothers and their disappearances, he couldn't deny that he was happy to see Vitus again. His sister's excitement to meet one of her brothers and the happiness on their mother's face when she arrived eased his annoyance as well. What really made him forgive his brother though was his companion's explanation for where they had been. Tiburtius had thought of trying to go find his brothers several times in the past, but he had always been much more concerned with watching after their mothers and then their sisters when they came along. He supposed it was comforting to know that one of his siblings was looking out for the rest of their brothers while he watched over this half of their family. But now it was time for Vitus to come home. He glanced down at Jayne with a small smile when she leaned into his shoulder, briefly tipping his head down to boop the top of her head with the end of his muzzle. Leo arrived next and he lifted his two-toned gaze till it landed on his russet uncle. At Leo's question his eyes would go back to Vitus curiously, wondering how he would answer. Speak Thought Others

She breathed a sigh of relief when she felt Vitus return her embrace. Vitus had been in and out of their lives for a while now, but she couldn't help but have a soft spot for her soft spoken boy. She took a step back when his companion began to speak for the two of them, her gaze turning toward the owl. She knew speaking had always been a struggle for Vitus so in a way she was glad he had someone to help him with that. She nodded in understanding, glancing toward Vitus gratefully. She honestly wasn't surprised that Vitus had gone looking for his brothers. She was about to reply when she heard someone coming up behind her and she glanced back, thinking it might be Amalia, but it was Leo instead. She gave Leo a smile as he came over to stand next to her. Of course Leo would come when someone called from the border, that wasn't a surprise. She let Vitus answer before she asked anything else, easing back onto her haunches. "Burn Baby Burn"

Text There was a bit of relief in the fact that Leo was next to arrive. His uncle seemed to be in good spirits and welcomed him back. Vitus tipped his head to the older male, his bi-colored eyes shining gently. His only wish was that Bacchus and Archie were here too... But even without them he could find himself happy to be back. “I am.” The male spoke in a sure tone, glancing to Tib and then Athena before glancing back to Leo. It felt strange that he was coming home... But a large part of him felt relieved at the fact too. “I do believe Vitus’ skills would place him either as a fighter or hunter. I assume either position is fine with you?” Carlisle glanced towards Vitus, getting a nod of approval. He was not picky for rank. “I’ll test... If need be.” His voice cracked mid-sentence, but Vitus felt he was doing a pretty good job at interacting with his family. His gaze flickered to Jayne then, offering another smile. He wouldn’t leave her out. “Do you like to play?” It was a bit of a silly question. What pup didn’t like to play? But it was an invitation of sorts to the younger girl to get to know her better once all this was settled. He glanced back towards Leo, hoping that if he were to be tested it could be done at another time. "Speech"
