Liviana slowly made her way through this dense foliage around her, her hips swaying with each step as she lazily placed one paw in front of the other. How odd it was for it to be winter and barely have any snow to show for it. The air was still pretty chilly, but not nearly the frigid cold she was used to. She wondered if it was just the area of this continent that she was in that was like this or if this was simply a more mild winter. She hummed quietly to herself as she considered it. Her lilac gaze drifted around at the trees and ferns around her without ever really settling on one in particular. Most of them had browned and lost a good portion of their leaves. Not that she was surprised.

A sigh passed her lips and her tail flicked behind her. She had really hoped she would have found something more interesting to do by now, but so far it had been pretty quiet. She hadn't run into another wolf since that one male by the tar pits and that felt like ages ago. At this point she was pretty sure she'd rather be back home, even though even just the thought of seeing her father and her aunt again made her sick to her stomach. Her ear flicked as the only outward sign of her disgust, keeping her expression flat and uninterested.

Taking a stroll from pack lands, Xephyris wanted to get to know the territory that surrounded his home. The Fern Gulley was perhaps a little further than he had intended, certainly further than he was used to roaming once he'd gotten settled into one place. He wasn't much of a traveler, and had little interest in exploring unless it served a purpose, such as finding food or scouting for information. But this time, he supposed he had a little more energy than usual, as he'd spent most of the last season cooped up in a den. Not only that, but the women at home were not really tickling his fancy at the moment, yet in a way he craved some sort of attention, even if it was fleeting. When he returned home, he would tend to business and fulfill his duties within the pack, but today he was taking a day for himself - and his paws had carried him here.

So, he would roam through the winter-dead ferns, pushing his way through their tall, crackling fronds. It was not long before he caught the scent of another being. At first he was not concerned with it, but as it came to his attention that it was indeed a lady, he had second thoughts. Perhaps it would be worth his while to seek her out. It wouldn't hurt to take a chance. So, he followed the woman's scent until he found her, and when he did, an amused grin cracked his maw. She looked bored with the scenery, her tail flicking as she seemed to look around in disinterest. He had no idea if she was interested in company, but maybe he could change the mood a little.

He'd go up to her, approaching the woman at her right side. He kept enough distance that his presence was not threatening, but he was close enough as well to indicate that he had approached her with purpose. It was no coincidence that he'd come here. His head turned to look at her, silver eyes glancing over her form briefly before looking to her face. "Greetings," he began with a low rumble in his voice, "You don't look very amused... what's wrong? Don't like what you see?" His words would pause then as he gave her a chance to realize she'd been approached, and he would wait to gauge her reaction to him.

Livi sighed quietly and glanced up through the branches above her as she walked, looking at the bits of blue sky that peeked through them. She heard the sound of paws against the ground and the obvious sound of dry fern leaves brushing against each other and she lazily glanced out of the corner of her eye toward her right, her paws slowing a bit to see what it could be. Her lilac gaze landed on a gray-hued man who had clearly honed in on her for some reason. She stopped as he spoke, her head turning to look at him with a smirk. "I can't say that dried up plants and empty forests are exactly my idea of a good time, no," she commented with a chuckle. Well she had asked for company and it seemed like company had found her. Beggars couldn't be choosers. Not that he was bad to look at.

She turned toward him with a flick of her tail, her eyes glancing down his form breifly before coming back to his silver gaze. No, certainly not bad to look at. "It's bit more interesting now that you're here as least," she added, giving him another smirk. "What's your name?" she asked as she settled back on her haunches, her tail curling neatly around her. She could smell the scent of a pack on his fur. Not the same one as the first male she had met from these lands, not that she really cared. It wasn't like she still counted herself as part of a pack and she certainly didn't know the ones around here from one another. Her posture was still just as relaxed as it had been before he arrived, her expression showing a bit more interest now that she had this silver man to focus on. Her head leaned to the side bit as she examined him, her gaze trailing down his form again.

As he watched her, he noticed her lilac eyes wandering up and down his frame, and as she did so, he allowed his silver eyes to roam her body as well. The various shades of earthy hues coloring her coat were quite unique, and a treat for his eyes to behold. As well, that lilac gaze of hers was rather intriguing, not a common color by any means. His thick, silver tail flicked, pleased with what he was seeing. The lone woman was indeed a worthwhile sight. Xephyris chuckled with her as she mentioned she wasn't really having the greatest time in this dead forest. He didn't blame her. It was pretty boring at this time of year.

"It's bit more interesting now that you're here as least." He perked to those words in particular, grinning as she asked for his name. He'd take that as a cue to move just a little bit closer, but not invading her personal space - yet. "The name's Xephyris," he offered in a low rumble, his voice a deep and gravelly tone. He'd look over her again before meeting her gaze, grinning mischievously. "If I am so worthy, might I know yours as well, m'lady?" he asked with such formality, one might not suspect that his intentions were rather impure. But as he watched her eyes, he was certain that she would be aware he hadn't come here merely to be a gentleman - a polite and respectful wolf he was, but he had darker desires as well, for which he would shamelessly seek satisfaction. Of course, he would need to bide his time, to see what her response would be as well. So far, so good.
