Creed was feeling more than torn up about everything. His trip to Donostrea hadn't been a good one. He hadn't figured out where all of the Donostrean's had gone, but it was clear they weren't at the prairie or the beach anymore. To top it all off Avalon was claiming a pack, which was good news for her, but it made him sad to think the care-free pack Locha had been a part of was no longer there. How was he supposed to tell her she didn't have a home to go to anymore? How was he supposed to tell her that he couldn't find a good trace of her family anymore and that chances of him tracking them down were slim to none? He was a good tracker but rain had long since washed away any good leads.

Instead of going home and being responsible he decided to procrastinate and keep looking around. He'd been vaguely aware of a pack set up near them, Argead, but it wasn't around anymore. His next thought was to go to Fiori and see who he could run into, but when he went to cut through the weeping woods he was surprised to find that a pack had been set up there. Somewhat annoyed by having to take a detour, yet extremely curious about the new pack, he cut around through the grass plains instead.

Really he wasn't sure where he was going anymore. He finally decided to take a break and plopped his rump tiredly on the ground. He'd done a lot of traveling lately and his paws were finally screaming for a break. He'd ran into Avalon here before and his mind flicked to the encounter for a brief moment before he thought about the pack she was creating. He was happy for her, but the more he thought about it the more he pined for the Glaciem that had been there when he was a child. He missed it really but he also knew there was no turning back time. All he could do was enjoy the memories he had.

The Tall Grass Plains were much more desolate during this time of year. Though the grasses weren't fully dead yet, they were slowly losing their color; what was once a rippling sea of green was now a dull array of brown and grey. The sound of the grass rustling beneath her paws as she moved across the field seemed louder than usual, as the world was rather quiet today. Thanks to the silence, her senses were on high alert; she could hear the sound of birds singing in the far-off distance, and her ears swiveled to get a better sense of what they said.

Her mind felt unusually clear as she trekked through the vegetation, grateful for the decent weather. The temperatures were slowly dropping, though they weren't low enough to be deemed uncomfortable quite yet. The afternoon sun was a pleasant contrast to the cool air and the brief bouts of wind that rustled her coat - and it was difficult to be in a foul mood on such an autumn day. She wasn't sure how long she wandered across the plains before she spotted a stranger, who sported a pelt of various shades of grey.

Feeling more social than usual, she would redirect herself toward him, tail waving absently behind her. Her demeanor was light, though reasonably cautious as she closed the distance between them easily. "Hello, stranger," Epiphron would offer him tentatively, though her posture was more relaxed than anything else. The way she moved had a confidence that could only be gained with age; and a smooth sureness that made her seem unshakable. Odd place to stop for a rest."

The weather was beginning to cool off and for a fluffy arctic wolf like Creed it felt amazing to him. Granted winter was always the best for him, but he'd happily settle for the autumn weather over summer any day. While he rested he attempted to calculate a plan of action of where he'd be traveling next, but in all honesty he wasn't quite sure on where he wanted to go from here. He needed to go home, but he didn't quite want to yet. Surely he could get away with being gone a few days longer.

He hadn't been sitting long when the sound of another approaching caught his attention. The paw-steps seemed somewhat light and it wasn't long until a scent accompanied it. Fiori. He realized. It seemed he wouldn't have to find a way around this new pack to go meet one of the pack's members. Teal eyes turned towards the woman and he studied her for a moment. She was mostly white with only a few brown markings to stand against the ivory color. He took note that she was about the same age as him but he was positive that he'd never met her before.

"Hello, stranger," He remained seated as he felt rather comfortable in her presence. She seemed friendly enough if the wagging tail and calm demeanor were anything to go by. "Odd place to stop for a rest." He smiled at this and shook his head softly.

"Not really." He chuckled. "Ah would have gone another route but it would seem a pack has sprung up in mah way." Perhaps she knew of it. They were close by after all and he had to admit he was curious. "Ah'm Creed Ancora." He'd offer his introduction, realizing he had yet to say it.

The coolness that autumn brought was not at all deemed unpleasant, to her at least. The winters in the Mangroves were never unbearable, either; the eastern lands were quite mild, though the land's proximity to the ocean made it quite chilly at times, especially when winds came in from the sea.  The autumn certainly was the more pleasant choice, and she was content to bask in the comfort of the weather for as long as it lasted.

The stranger she had approached seemed friendly enough, at first glance, as he turned to look at her. She would be lying if she said she did not grow bored of being by herself all the time - and the prospect of speaking to someone new was quite intriguing today. He didn't look familiar, she noted, as she got a better look at him. He hardly even moved as she approached, his posture confident and without a hint of aggression. His voice held a unique accent she'd never heard before. Her head tilted slightly as he spoke, smiling lightly at his words.

"The pack to the north-east of here?"   Epiphron would inquire, wondering if he meant Fiori.    "It's a pleasure, Creed. I'm Epiphron Adravendi." Perhaps he'd heard of her family before? Most she met these days had not, but he'd been around since Valhalla and Seracia had both been ruled by Adravendis. Maybe, by some stroke of fate, he knew of her family.

He was enjoying the present company so far. She seemed to be very pleasant to be around and she held no malice as she spoke. Ears flicked in her direction as she spoke and he shook his head. He didn't know the name of the pack that was there but it seemed to have replaced Argead. He was more interested in her name at the moment. Adravendi's certainly were all over the place and he couldn't help but be curious if she was related to Surreal at all. He was half tempted to ask, though he was also aware not all the Adravendi's were blood related.

"Pleasure ta mee' ya Epiphron." He paused for a moment before continuing. "Bu' no. Ah was headin' in Fiori's direction. Ah don' know tha pack's name, bu' it's no' Fiori. Ye wouldn' know, would ye?"

He was still planning on heading towards Donostrea's direction, but the break was welcoming and he enjoyed meeting new wolves. He'd never met Epiphron's older family before, had he knows who she was the daughter of he probably would have asked, but the fact she was older meant she'd been around too before everything went to hell.

It'd been awhile since she'd had such an easy, amiable talk with a stranger; she could get used to this, she decided. The uniqueness of his accent was rather pleasant on the ears, too, she decided - the smile that painted her features was genuine as he spoke. He said he was heading in Fiori's direction, though looking for a different pack. She pursed her lips, considering for a moment, though honestly there wasn't that much to think about. There was only one pack nearby that she knew of.

"Perhaps you mean Abaven?"   Epiphron would offer lightly, shrugging her shoulders as she offered what little information she could. She didn't stray away from Fiori often, and when she did it was never very far. Abaven had been their neighbors for as long as she could remember, and she wasn't sure if any other packs were close enough to be considered nearby. She eyed him, waiting for a reaction - any sign of recognition to appear on his features.
