A ship. His feisty, stubborn sister had been living.. in a ship? It was strange, even for her, and he found himself confounded by it. This place stank of her quite distinctly. Feeling suddenly rather nosy, he'd circle the strange structure a few times before daring to peek his head into one of the openings he found.

He'd been thinking about his family often lately. God, he was getting more and more soft with each year that passed. He missed seeing his sisters more often, and being reminded that they were alive and well was deeply satisfying to him. His massive paws had carried him back to more northern territories, and he was grateful for a deep breath of cooler air as his journey slowed. While he had been enjoying his company in warmer territories more than he'd bargained for, he would forever be drawn to these lands. The winter season in particular always felt particularly welcoming to him.

It was not winter here, though some snow still remained. He felt it crunch beneath his paws as he swung his head into the ship's hull, eyes squinting to make out his surroundings. "Sisko!" he'd call out, his voice booming through the ship's interior. "Oletko jäänyt minulle?" A smile was visible on his face, and readily audible in his voice too as he called for her.

OOC: Pretend she's speaking in finnish too -lazy-

Sabine's ears perked as a familiar voice bounced off the ship's walls. It couldn't be. It had been so long since she'd seen his brother that she'd assumed he'd found a woman, had a plethora of teeny nomads, and galloped off into the sunset with his horde at his heels and a stupid, lovesick grin on his face. That or dead, but she refused to seriously consider the latter.

Clearly he wasn't dead, but the possibility of a mob of children and a mate or two awaiting her inspection outside still needed to be ruled out. After rolling to her paws Sabine ambled towards the sound of his voice.  "Like a cur misses fleas," she called back in a teasing voice.

As soon as she could hear him up ahead a slow, easy smile began to brighten up her usually haughty features. There were few people in the world that Sabine held genuine affection for. Aki was not only one of them, but he was quite high up on her list. Sure, she only saw him once in a blue moon, but that didn't diminish her love for him any. In this case absence did make the heart grow fonder. "I missed you," she admitted. Did he smell it yet? She smelled different now. The kind of different that was going to change everything and while she would never admit it out loud, she was getting nervous.

Before he saw her, he heard her - a shuffling of paws and a steady approach, and finally her voice. Her response brought a hearty laugh from him, the sound booming from his chest with ease. A cur? He'd be foolish to even hint such a word at her. He might lose an eye. "Your words, not mine," he retorted quickly.

It was difficult for him to imagine Sabine being anything but.. his sister. He was full of love, while her affection was much more of a rarity - but their differences didn't matter much to him. "I've missed you too," he admitted readily as she drew closer to him, his snout bumping lightly against her shoulder, tusks grazing her pelt. "Though I'm surprised to see you're living.. in this." His voice was a bit confused, though she was free to live as he liked. It didn't mean he wouldn't tease her over it or that he could even begin to understand.

"It stinks," he'd comment dryly, his gaze searching the interior of the ship. It just wasn't as.. open as the rest of the world. It wasn't totally closed-off, but it was more of an enclosed space than he preferred. "And, Aki would start, eyeing her speculatively as he took in a deep breath, leaning a bit closer to her. "You stink too. Don't tell me..." Something in his gut told him instinctively that he knew what had changed with her, though it was hard to rationalize as he'd never been around many pregnant woman. And truthfully, he hadn't expected Sabine to have children before him. He waited, a bit impatiently, eyeing her for a reaction.

Sabine stopped once she felt Aki nuzzle against her shoulder. She felt around for his ear and after finding it, gave it a playful twist. "What's wrong with this?" She matched his emphasis on the last word. Really though, what was wrong with it? "It stinks," he said. Well...he had a point. It did smell funny and if she stayed in it long enough she knew from previous ventures that she would start to smell like it too. The ship smelled of rust and decay, and of metal and stale water. To an extent it was earthy, but the majority of the smell could best be described as "blah". "I don't know what you're talking about," she sniffed dismissively. "Maybe your nose is broken."

Ah, so he had noticed. Quite suddenly there wasn't enough air in the space between them and to correct that feeling, Sabine had to take a small step backwards. That little bit of extra space between them helped some. She was having mixed feelings about this...part of her wanted to call it a problem, but it wasn't, was it? Pleasure had been the driving factor, but not for one second could she play the dumb bitch card. She'd known her odds. Anyway, calling it a problem was too simple a word for her situation. It complicated things, sure, but a big part of her was excited. Also a little insecure, but if she could help it, no one would ever know.

"Yeah," she said far more flippantly than she felt. "Got knocked up." Tehe? "Surprise."

He hardly retracted as Sabine lifted her muzzle to snatch his ear in her jaws. The touch was playfully affectionate, and he welcomed it gladly. "It's... odd," he said simply, his words accompanied with an instinctive shrug.  "From the wide tundra of the north to this cramped thing. Quite a change, is all." He didn't expect it, but.. his next realization made it easier to understand. Maybe she was using it as shelter, or a form of safety due to her current.. predicament. Quite honestly, that came as a surprise too and he stared, stunned for a moment too long.

"Where's the father?" he'd ask, his tone playful as he snorted with laughter. "Do you have him held prisoner somewhere?"  Obviously he knew nothing about the actual predicament, but to imagine it was not an idea that Sabine had concocted entirely herself was unbelievable to him. She didn't sound super thrilled about it, but she sounded vaguely amused at the same time. "Mommy Sabine. I like the sound of it." Perhaps she might give more insight into her feelings about the whole thing if he teased her a bit over it.
