Faite had found herself going on border patrols in more shady areas if she could help it. The sun felt like an energy drainer that she didn't wish to be a part of. Despite the fact Autumn was her heat season she found herself wishing for it to get here already. Even if it was still hot, any sort of cooler temperatures would have been more than good enough. A part of her debated on going to their lake and going for a swim, but she decided against it. She still had duties to perform and she couldn't slack in those lest she disappoint Regulus.

So instead she finished up her border patrol for the afternoon and then found herself a nice shady tree to sit under. The grass still flourished under this one and she let out a contented sigh. A warm breeze ruffled her fur and she peered up between the branches of the tree to take a look at the sky. It was a bright blue with very few clouds to disrupt it. It didn't seem like it was going to rain any time soon. Oh well.

Her mind would drift to the pack. How were they faring? One wolf in particular nagged at the back of her mind. Jorrvaskr was still relatively new to the pack and Faite hadn't had a good chance to see how the silver female was settling in. Did she like it here? Had she managed to make any friends? How was she faring in the heat? All were very good questions so without much further thought she tipped her head back and let out a summoning howl for the female. Maybe they could even get started on the language lessons.

you cannot lie to the soul

Just a few time passed since she had joined this new pack. She followed both of the wolves, Faite and Regulus, to this territory of their home. The land was pretty, something that she has never seen in her life. But also, remembered a lot from her homeland.

But, even that time had passed, she was just a new member. She did not know any of those wolves besides the leader and the other female. And trying to get friends was quite a challenge for the quiet Jorrvaskr. She decided that, for now, she would just be herself, quiet and lonely. Wandering through the lands of Regulus’ pack, she could see much more of this large world she was part of, but even the territory was mostly unknown for her as well. Maybe a walk in the edge of the lands would be a great start.

The grayish female was walking with no hurry, feelings the breeze of the season carry the scent of the grass and trees to far always, some place she didn’t know where. Probably, soon things would change, taking the green leaves to replace with the warm colors of the Fall. Jorrvaskr just noticed a presence forward when she was about 50 meters always, since her mind was floating with the air. It was Faite, sitting under a tree. At the moment she recognizes the other female, Jorr remembered that she would like to help the grayish wolf with some language lessons. Since she was just wandering around, now looked like a nice moment for it. Slowly, she approached the dark brown female, sitting by her side once both were sharing the shadow of the same tree. “Hello, Faite.” Gently, she used the words most of the wolves used to greet others. Oddly, she was used to say a whole sentence for that. “What are you doing here gein… Alone?”

It wasn't long before a figure soon came into her view and Faite would stare at it until she realized who it was. Jorrvaskr. As the other woman approached she smiled warmly at her. Faite was more than curious as to how she was settling in. She'd meant to call for the woman a lot sooner, but things had been rather hectic lately. Between training her younger brother, border patrols, spars, and anything else that came with being an alpha... well it had her time very occupied.

Jorr would sit next to her and Faite's tail wagged lazily against the ground. She'd turn her head to Jorr as she greeted her and the brown female offered her a warm smile. "Hello Jorrvaskr. I hope you're doing well." She said politely. She noted that she was pretty good with basic sentences and greetings. Teaching her didn't seem like it was going to be so hard.

She was surprised when the gray woman asked her a question, but she answered it all the same. "I'm just enjoying the shade. It's been unusually hot this summer." She replied with a smile. "How do you like Celestial so far?" She questioned her. If there was any way she could do something to make her living her better then she'd do her best. She wanted to make sure everyone felt comfortable within their pack.

The hot weather was not a problem to Jorrvaskr. This warm air was prety much how the summer used to be back in her homeland. She likes the sun and how it could warm the ground, but a shadow was, for sure, very good right now. The other female's question was quite simple to answer, but the grayish she-wolf had not talked to any of the other members of the pack. She was just a newcommer, and actually very shy to start a conversation. Maybe soon they would get used to her and she would start to know better the others. "It's a good pack. She said at last. Jorr could not lie, they lived in a very good place, with green grass and large trees. Almost like the landscape she used to see while watching the sunset, when was young living between the dark trees of a dense forest. "I'm just shy." She smiled for a moment looking at the own paws. It was a hard ting to admit.

Jorr seemed almost embarrassed that she hadn't met any of the other wolves in Celestial yet. Faite could feel her pain. When she'd first returned home she'd had new siblings that she hadn't even known about and a bunch of new faces to associate with. She'd been a lot more awkward first meeting wolves. Being stuck on a mountain by yourself certainly impaired your social skills. If Jorrvaskr had been by herself she could see why she'd be shy, but then again some wolves were just shy by nature. Faite had managed to get over her own social problems. Hell... she was an alpha now. She had to get over them.

"That's okay. You'll get to know everyone in time. You'll certainly at least get to see everyone at our next meeting."

Not that she knew when that would be, but probably sooner than later. Already there were things to discuss. Like her mother ... she didn't see her living long. She'd also noticed that Kavdaya seemed ... fatter that usual. That mixed with the scent of Creed all over her... well she suspected something was up there. Not to mention her newly acquired friend that she'd forcefully brought home. There was a lot to talk about.

But not at the moment.

"I was curious if you'd be interested in your language lessons? I told you I'd teach you more of the common language and I'm more than interested in learning yours if you're up to it? " She'd grin at her. She'd know three languages if Jorr taught her.

The grayish female smiled, and after a second, corrected her words. "I mean, thank you." It was good to meet wolves that were so kind and aptient enough to teach her the basic of their tongue. She cold listen then very well, but the problem was she speaking. She was not used to talk in that tongue like them, even that since childhood, her parents tried to teach her. But one of the things she liked most was the interesting of this wolves in Dovahzul.

Mostly, she met toher that ignored her because of her tongue, not trying to undestand her or even walking away, beucase they didn't wanted the company of a wolf who they can't undestand what is spoken. She have herd a lot that her language is cursed, and for a long time she believed in that. So, Jorr turned her eyes to the other female, watching her almost like a kid watchs the mother in hunting lessons. She'd love to learn more of Grohiikzul.

Faite would smile at her warmly and nod. She was glad Jorr seemed to be settling in okay. She didn't seem opposed to the language lessons. To be honest Faite wasn't entirely sure where to begin. She could remember her mother talking to her in Gaelic, but that was when she'd been a puppy and had grown up with it. Learning and teach a new language while you're an adult was beginning to feel completely different. She was oddly determined though.

"Okay so where would you like to start? I'm honestly not sure how much of our language that you're familiar with."

Jorr replied, trying to give her a good answer. "But... Bad pronounce." She couldn't think in a better way to say that. She have tried many times to reply the words like the other wolves did to, but somehow she couldn't. This was one of the reasons Jorrvaskr was a quiet girl. When she speaks, in sounds awful. Her eyes turned to her paws, shile skull follows the same movement, having now a quite disappointed posture. She likes to learn of course, and she was not upset with Faite. SHe gets very upset with herself quite easily. Why she couldn't just born like the others? Maybe she should try this alone, by remembering every word she listens to. "Uhm... How about Zu'u fun... Tell you. Dovahzul." Again her pale golden eyes moved to the other female, trying to avoid the first subject of their conversation. Since she was interested in Jorr's tongue, looked better she start the lessons.

The language barrier between them wasn't as bad as it could have been. If Jorrvaskr hadn't a single clue of the common language then they'd certainly have a more tasking time. While at times it was hard to understand the gray female, with a bit of concentration and patience she was sure they could work on it. She'd done pretty good so far with understanding her words and communicating. Jorr spoke up, mentioning that she was bad at pronouncing the words and Faite shook her head.

"You're not terrible at it."

It took Faite a moment to understand what Jorr was saying. She eventually was able to piece together what she was suggesting. When she did realize it she smiled and brightened up a bit. So she would rather start off by teaching Faite her language instead? That was perfectly fine by Faite. She'd already learned Gaelic. Surely she could pick up on another language just as easily? She certainly hoped so.

"Okay so Zu'u is I. Dovahzul is the name of your language and Grohiik is ... wolf I think?"

"Geh... Yes." Seens like things could work now, Jorr just had to think in some simple words so they could walk in slow steps, by now. "Dovahzul, dragon tongue. Grohiikzul, wolf tongue." She look back at her paws, trying to think in something to keep going. "Uhm... Krosis, sorry. Tah, pack. Fahdon, ally... Packmates." It sounded pretty good for a begining, trying to translate some more simple words and the ones she, probably, would use the most.

Even that the grayish wolf could look a bit serious in this moment, focused in their conversation, Jorrvaskr was very happy to be talking to someone else interested in her culture, instead of scared of it. Also, she was happy to be part of a pack again, since her parents death, she never felt part of a family or a group before.

Faite beamed as she got the words right. They felt foreign to her tongue and a little funny, but overall she was pleased. It was good she was already remembering bits and pieces and if she could learn more then it meant Jorr would be more comfortable. She could even act as a translator at some point if she got good enough. Well that or Jorr would already know more of the common tongue by that point and she wouldn't need one. Either way she was pretty excited by the prospect of learning a new language. Being tri-lingual sounded pretty awesome.

Jorrvaskr continued and she nodded as she explained a bit more. She'd silently mouth the words after Jorr spoke them. They still felt funny on her tongue, but she wanted to be able to commit it not only to her memory, but to her muscle memory as well. If her mouth remembered the words she'd have a better time at trying to say them later on.

"So how would you say 'I'm hungry' in your tongue?" Basic words were good to start off with and easy important sentences didn't seem like a bad idea either.

"Uhm... We say kip, food, or slen, meat, flesh. Ku'u fen slen, I need meat." It maybe sounded aweful that there was no words that meant what they needed, like feeding or water, but with the time, probably she would get used to that. "There is no 'thirsty', too. Zu'u fen kath, I need water. Means river, as well."

That was one of the things that made Dovahzul quite a hard language. Many words did not exist, and other had meaning for lots of other things. She born listening to that, so for Jorrvaskr it was completely normal. But for someone that had never met it, it could be very hard. Jorrvaskr is also a thing." She smiled, remembering the meaning of her own name. "Dovahzul is legends and history."

It was intriguing to learn that her language had a lot less depth as far as words were concerned. In Gaelic it was certainly a lot easier to say that you were hungry or thirsty instead of saying specifically what you needed. The fact that they had words for only food, meat, or water interested her. Was her culture more primal and less focused on talking? Or was it just easier to have words that meant other things as well depending on your needs and desires?

She grinned as Jorr said that her name meant something as well. Her own name was just a different variation of fate, nothing special, but she was curious to know what the silver female's name meant in her language. "What does your name mean?" She asked with a tilt of her head. So far she was really enjoying their language lesson, though she knew if she tried to learn much more as far as words she'd be pushing it to remember it all.

"You should tell me a bit about your culture. I'm dying to know."

Even Jorr's parents haven't seen a creature like this. But the rumors that they were back made she leave, and now be here in this new world.

"This is only part of the Tey, story." Trying to remember more of th tales she used to listen her mother and father telling all night, the pale golden orbs of the she-wolf were focused in the horizon, for a moment. "It all begans with the Dovah. They gave us the tongue when they were... Mah, falling. In a krif, battle." For new, Jorrvaskr didn't know how to tell how everything began, but this was only part of the huge culture she grew up in.

Faite's curiosity piqued and then spiraled out of control as Jorr spoke of the Dovah. Her mind couldn't quite wrap her head around the idea of Dragon's. As far as she were concerned such creatures were a myth, but had they really lived where Jorr came from? Still it was fascinating that an entire culture revolved around it. She wanted to ask why the dragon's had battled, if they ever truly had existed, and how the wolves came to learn their tongue, but she bit her own tongue instead. She didn't want to overwhelm the other woman with questions. Instead a new idea popped into mind. She didn't want to exhaust the fun of their language teachings, so instead her brain came up with a new topic. It was one she'd meant to speak to her about earlier.

"I've been meaning to ask you Jorr, what rank were you wishing to pursue here in Celestial? We have hunters, fighters, healers, and even wolves who act as Emissaries for the pack."

The grayish female was expecting questions from Faite, but maybe she was just thinking in all that she had said. The legends she learned were, truly, quite heard to undestand but very interesting either. And then, the subject changed by the other female asking Jorr which rank she wishes to had.

By now, Jorrvaskr didn't had the chance to show her skills to the pack, but she is a very good hunter and tracked. She could learn quickly about the fauna of this new lands and the territory of Celestial pack. "Hunter." She replied with a smile."I can also help in patrols." Indeed, one of the things that she liked more, besides watching the stars and learning from the Earth was patroling, walking around the edges of the land. She always did that back in her homeland, taking care of the borders of her pack's lands. She was happy that now she could have more use inside the pack.

Jorr seemed to have already had an idea in mind. Faite felt rather guilty for not coming to her sooner about it. It was rather irritating that no one who was still placed as a Unit had come forth with what they wanted to pursue, but then again that was her's and Regulus' fault for not enforcing it more. She was glad that Jorr was interested in becoming a hunter. With Varda gone it left them without one, save for Acapella, but one wolf could hard feed an entire pack. So she smiled happily at the gray female. She'd have to introduce the two hunters.

"Hunter seems very fitting. We've been rather low on them lately, yet the pack is teeming with healers."

It felt strange admitting it. Had Jorr been a stranger and a potential threat she would have never said it out loud. To admit that they didn't have many skilled fighters either and more healers than anything felt like admitting that they were open to lay waste to at any time. It was like admitting that they were weak and ripe for the taking and it most of all it made her feel vulnerable and she didn't like it.

"I'll make you a hunter on the terms that you go hunting with me some time, sound good?" She said with a grin, happy to change the thought process her brain had derailed to.
