The family's first outting together, this time it would be filled with love and light hearted feelings. Three beautiful pups out in the world he couldn't help but to smile. Especially since it was a moment being shared with Bright Moon. Carefully Quelt would make sure the pups didn't wander too close to the falls, standing between them and the waters he wasn't sure if they were exactly ready to swim or not in these waters. "Make sure you stay away from the edges of the water otherwise daddy will be sad." he chuckled as he lowered his head. He was massive compared to these little fluffy things but that's how it went.

"Bright Moon how are you feeling." Quelt asked the girl as he raised his head. The morning was nice but he knew how strenous birth could be. The pups were just ready to leave the den she had been with them the whole time and all Quelt could do was bring them food and give them protection. Not to mention trying to keep them occupied when they got a bit older. However a soft smile was still plastered on his face.

The girl toddled along behind her daddy, following the impressive, towering man, feeling completely safe near him. Her siblings were nearby, and mommy following from behind to watch them. As Quelt placed himself between them and the water, Autumn smiled up at him, and her butt plopped down as she craned her neck to look up at him. He said to stay away from the edges of the water, otherwise it would make him sad. "Why daddy?" she piped up, her voice nothing but a mere squeak. She wondered why he would be sad if they went near the water, not realizing it could be dangerous. But regardless, she didn't want to make her daddy sad, so she would not go near the water's edge. She tilted her head further back as she saw Bright Moon out of the corner of her eye, craning her neck so far back that she eventually fell onto her back. She giggled with amusement, rolling over onto her paws and she stood up and shook off, looking up at her mommy, then looking to her siblings.

The boy fallowed his large father and his sister. Bravely marching out of the den for the first time and into the bright light of the new world. At first he had to squint and stand still as his eyes adjusted to the much brighter light. He grunted which sounded more like a squeak from a dying creature. So far he felt this experience was unpleasant. It took a few moments before he was able to open his eyes and take in everything around them. His eyes widened as he took in all the beautiful sights and immediately the boy began to explore. His ears caught his fathers words and he paused to look at his father as Autumn Star questioned 'why?'. It naturally made the boy curious about the bright shining water, but he turned his attention back to the plants before him, shoving his face in them to find out what they were. As he did so a small thing jumped out at him making him jump back. He looked the green creature over noting the long folded back legs and motionless eyes (a grasshopper). Instinct drove the boy to pounce on it, crushing it beneath one of his large paws then making an ugly face as he felt the gross ooze that came from it's body.

Flopping back on hi read end it picked up his paw and sniffed at the ooze before wrinkling his nose. It didn't smell pleasant and the boy wasn't about to ingest it so he wiped his paw off in the grass before looking to his mother.

"Momma what is that thing" he asked while motioning to the squished creature before him.

Night had carefully sorted our her dues. Making sure that she could follow her mother and father out of the den. Though her sibling seemed to be eager to get out Night was more curious as to be watching her dad and mom. More or less her dad as her large paws carried her clumsily towards the water. When her dad mentioned not getting close she looked to Autumn star and nodded her head. Yeah, why shouldn't they get too close?!

"Mommy's fine Daddy why would you ask such a thing." Night then conjectured as she bounded up to her mother. Smiling a grin as the strangely stiped little one wiggled her hind quarters. This was their first time outside, she had to be vigilant to protect her siblings. She knew mom and dad could do that but she was gonna be strong just like her daddy!

The silver, fox-coated wolf padded along at the rear, making sure no one got lost or left behind. The woman's heart melted as she watched Quelt, the man she'd met by chance, leading their little family along the riverside. Bright had never expected to have pups again, and certainly not to love and feel loved in the way she did now. It was a bizarre feeling, but it made her feel youthful and happy beyond words she could describe. She would always hold a place in her heart for those she had loved in her past, but they were so far from her now, such distant memories... that she would focus all of her love and energy into these beautiful babies, and their loving father. She paused when Quelt did, explaining to the young ones not to go too close to the water's edge. Autumn piped up with a question immediately, but she didn't seem to defy him - she simply wanted to know 'why'. Bright giggled as the girl looked up at her, toppling over onto her back.

Now her son had a question of his own, and she had seen him from the corner of her eye pouncing on something. Perhaps he would be a great hunter one day, when he grew. She would be sure to teach him. Padding over to him and watching as he wiped his paw in the grass, she saw the legs of the creature he'd squished. "Why, that's a grasshopper, Bluemoon," she told him, "They're fast little insects, they can be hard to catch." She smiled at him, leaning down to nuzzle the boy and brush her tongue affectionately up his cheek. Now she would turn to Quelt, who was asking if she was alright. Her silver eyes sparkling with a vitality that hadn't shown in many years, she smiled warmly and nodded her head. "I am doing well, thank you for asking," she assured him, wagging her ebony-tipped tail. If it weren't for him, she'd be having a much harder time. She'd raised two litters on her own already, but this time around everything was different, and for the better.

She laughed as Night came bounding over to her, saying that of course mommy was fine. Lovingly, she reached down and nuzzled the pup's cheek, before seating herself. Yes, she was somewhat tired, it wasn't an easy thing to birth and nurse three pups, and watch over their constant antics. But it was well worth the effort. Now what else would they do for the day? It was a fair day, not too hot, not too cold, so perhaps they could go closer to the falls, where there were shallow pools, and the pups could learn to swim in a safe place. For some it may not seem a vital skill, but it certainly had its uses, and being a strong swimmer was nothing to scoff at.
