Could it be Autumn yet?

Grumbling could be heard from the woman as she padded to the lake. It'd been a while since she'd visited the other territory that resided next to the plains. Other than border patrols she didn't often have much of a reason to come here. With her duties done for the day though she saw no reason not to find a way to cool off. More than anything she wished it would rain. It seemed a drought had settled in and even the lake was looking rather low compared to its normal beauty. She could only hope that it'd start getting cooler soon and that with it rain would come.

She reached the lake and would easily wade out to chest deep before sitting in the water. She'd close her eyes for a moment and let herself relax. Her mind would drift towards the members of the pack. Creed and Kavdaya's puppies had been born and with Fortune in the pack it meant that the pack was full. It was such a strange thing to realize. The idea of it made her somewhat upset. They needed more land. She'd have to discuss things with Regulus later to help find a fix to it.

Her mind would then wander to Ritsy. He'd been... well it seemed like he'd been rather quiet since she'd brought him home. She didn't know if the heat was what kept him tame or if he'd overall realized that causing trouble wouldn't act in his favor. She still was unsure of what to do with him. she'd seen worse wolves than him, but it didn't mean she trusted him around the rest of the pack. Considering he hadn't fought back when she'd tried attacking him gave her hope. Maybe he'd continue not to cause problems. She certainly hoped not.

He was getting used to this place, not the heat so much but he learned how to seclude himself like some sort of spider. Ritsy was just about done chewing on the weasel he had caught, with an eye in his mouth when he spotted Faite from his small little den he had spent all night digging out. Red beady eyes staring at her as he swallowed, black snout covered in blood. He couldn't help his morbid habits, and his brain didn't understand disdain towards them either. Perhaps he'd just gotten lucky, he giggled a little bit before crawling out from his dirt den. Hoping over to Faite as he fell onto his front paws, white bunny tail wiggling behind him as he let out a soft screech towards the woman.

"Pretty blue." he commented breathlessly. Though the creature unable to feel any warmth within his heart or any emotion at all for the matter. Her eyes were pretty and that's all he cared about. "Aren't you proud of ritsy, ritsy ran into smol wolfy smol wolfy cute and fluffy ritsy no harm." he mimicked how tall the pup had been. One of Surreal litter of course but he cared not for that. All he knew is usually they creeped him out but he had just - well he squee'd once more at Faite jittering around slightly.

Speak of the devil.

It was like her thoughts had summoned him. She'd peer at him as he hopped over, but overall his demeanor was friendly and she couldn't bring herself to hate him. He'd been quiet since she'd brought him home and it hadn't seemed like he'd caused any mischief. There was no reason to be angry, it was too hot for that anyways, so she just stared at him from her spot in the lake as he called her pretty blue.

"Hello Ritsy."

He then asked if she was proud of him. Her head tilted at that and eyebrows furrowed. Proud of him for being quiet all this time or what? He then said something about running into a small wolf. He blood turned cold then and she listened more intently as he explained the size of the wolf. She could think of only one pup that tiny. Kieryn. But he hadn't harmed her? She was pretty sure she'd hear war cries if he had so she calmed her nerves and instead attempted a smile.

"I'm very proud of you. Was her name Kieryn?" If it was she was surprised. The girl seemed very quiet and withdrawn most of the time. What did she think of Ritsy?

Ritsy smiled and wagged his tail back and forth. "Yes yes. Shes very fluffy" he tried to contain his excitement but endes up spinning in a few circles before standing in front of her. His legs spread evenly but with his body shaped it looked rather odd. "We played tag!" His voice cracked in a high pitch manner.

"Ritsy had fun. Thinks from now on he will ask to take eyes after a wolf passes. Though prey is different." His head tilted to one side as he had a vacant look in his eyes. It was more fun, but who knew if something when wrong he might just lose himself. He just didnt have the brain for that.

"Yes yes. Shes very fluffy"

Faite couldn't quite understand his enthusiasm or where all the energy was coming from as he turned himself in a few circles before managing to get a hold of himself. His boisterous nature would have been a wonderful addition if it wasn't so clear that he had a few screws loose in his head. Still as he explained that they played tag together she felt her head nodding up and down slowly. That was a good start. It was better than him trying to take wolves eyeballs. Of course she'd have to talk with her younger sister later to see what she thought of Ritsy's behavior, but so far she was pleased with his progress.

"Well I'm glad you two had fun."

Of course her mood soured just a bit as he mentioned taking the wolves' eyes when they died. Her nose wrinkled at the thought of desecrating a dead wolf by doing such a foul thing, but she bit her tongue. She didn't want to argue about it forever. She supposed it was better than taking a living wolf's eyes, and she didn't care about the ones he took from prey so long as he kept his weird collection to himself.

"Well you're not allowed to take eyeballs from any pack member, dead or alive." SHe stated firmly, eyeing him to make sure he was paying attention. "Okay?"

Ritsy soon let his happiness fade when she said he couldn't have eyeballs alive or dead. He frowned and mumbled to himself. Pacing back and forth, maybe he just wouldn't tell her? After all it wasn't her choice if they said yes. He said he was going to ask from not on, it was a wolf's own decision to them their eyes. He sat down like a grumpy little child, red eyes darting to Faite then back to the ground again.

"Fine." he grunted as he moped there in his spot. Then looked up towards the woman. "Ritsy can hunt no? Hunt for pack! I'll catch prey for little things to eat and for big wolfies like you." he wiggled his rump then again. That was something he could do! He could do that.

Faite watched him sternly and her icy disposition didn't change for a good minute. She had this odd sense of responsibility over the black and white wolf and she wanted to make sure he understood her clearly. The last thing she wanted was him getting into trouble. His mood seemed to plummet and once again Faite was reminded of a very bratty child who was used to getting their own way. It was odd to her to see an adult acting in such a manner... but then again Ritsy was odd altogether.

Her mood only changed when he finally relented (seemingly unhappy about it) and she nodded with a smile creeping to her face. "Good." She was happy they'd come to an understanding. Ears flicked forward as Ritsy's mood skyrocketed and then he flung a question at her. "Yes, you can hunt. I'll tell you what, if you promise to behave I'll raise your rank to hunter." It wouldn't unbind him from her, but it would give him something to do at least. Plus it gave them an extra hunter to work with. They seemed to always be lacking them.
