Rivaxorus shook himself free of the rain that had fallen on his coat. It was finally starting to let up, but of course he couldn't hold that to heart. Soon his paws would be pressingly close to the Fiorian border. It had been a long time since he saw Leo - in fact he wasn't sure what had been going on in the world since he had been gone. The tall male would flick his tail, swallowing a little as he let out a soft sigh. He knew the chances weren't high - but even so he raised his head in a call for Leo. It wasn't entirely urgent as he didn't want to bother his uncle but it was dearly hard to conceal the worry in his voice for sure.

Afterwards he settled himself down. Lower half covered in dirt from the rains - the clouds were still threatening them from above. It was another reason he waited for it to let up for him to head over here. Still though, Rivaxorus wasn't even sure what was going on in his head these days. Lately it just felt like a bunch of paranoid jumbled thoughts.

The rains were certainly lingering for a while. He didn't want to complain since it was better than being in a drought, but it was still getting pretty swampy around the mangroves. At least they had given up the hot springs so he didn't have to worry about half of the territory being completely flooded. He just had to keep an eye on the falls to make sure they weren't overflowing and make sure the dens in the mangroves weren't being flooded. So far so good it seemed.

His train of thought was interrupted by his nephew's howl and his head popped up at the sound. He hadn't seen Riv in quite some time so his initial reaction was a happy one until he heard the worry in the younger man's voice. He didn't linger long enough to wonder what might be worrying him. Instead he just hurried off toward his nephew to see what was going on for himself. It didn't take him long to get there luckily since the rains had let up for the moment. He gave Riv a smile as he trotted up to him although his gaze showed his concern and curiosity. "Riv, I'm so happy to see you. It's been too long. What's going on?"

Rivaxorus tried to straightened himself off. Seeing Leo like that - it had really been a while since he interacted with much of any wolf. He was a frantic man though, just as he would when searching for a lost child. His worry was a simple cause of concern. His gray tail would flick on the ground irritably. Leo may have been happy to see him, but Rivaxorus was happy too. However he had something important to do.

"Yoshiko's gone missing. I've started to look for her but I can't find her anywhere Leo - on top of it all she was pregnant..... I - was hoping maybe you've seen her if not you could keep an eye out for her." Rivaxorus furrowed his brows. Maybe he was a bit too straight forward. Though it was obvious the man was on edge. He'd tried to blow off some steam at the battlefield but he'd been too distracted and lost just as easily. Though luckily with only minor scratches and the like. Regardless he sighed and shook his head. He needed to calm down if he wanted to get anything done.

Dread sank into his stomach at Riv's words. He knew all too well what it was like to have a mate go missing like this. His frown only deepened when Rivaxorus mentioned that Yoshiko had been pregnant. That certainly complicated things as well. "I really, really wish I had information for you, Riv. I haven't seen her. I will help you look for her though and if I do find her she can stay here till you come back." He shifted on his paws, desperately wishing that he could do more for his nephew. He didn't want his history to repeat itself in Riv's life. Leo hadn't had missing children to worry about, but it was still enough to know that someone you loved was nowhere to be found. "If you find her please come let me know. I really hope your luck is better than mine." His tone was somber, the many sleepless nights and miles upon miles of searching flickering through his memories. "Go on, don't waste time talking to me. I'll keep an eye out for her."
