The spotted man was quick to begin his placement into the pack. It was cold, so he immediately took action as soon as he could and began to dig his den. After not too long, he stepped back away from it to take a look, not truly impressed with what he saw. It was relatively small, but he wasn't used to making a den and staying in one place for very long. With a sigh, he promised himself he would make it better one day. It was big enough for himself and that was all that mattered.

The snow had subsided on this day, though the bitter cold was still about. The male's winter fur kept him from freezing which was one of his strengths in the winter. I huge coat to cover him and a ton of shedding in the spring. Something to look forward to was only a sarcastic remark. His neighbor would be sure to hate him every year when it came.

He was eager to meet the rest of his family, only meeting Isolde a couple times years ago and now being welcomed into the pack by Leo, his king. He had to say it was nice knowing that everyone would be looking out for each other, even if they weren't fond of where the ebony boy came from. He was here now and he would stop at nothing to protect his people.

She paced back and forth through the pack lands, worrying herself silly. She knew she was driving Abbey up a wall with it and her fussing over what she was going to do, but she couldn't help it! She had to either work up the courage to go talk to her father or go tell Ganta that she couldn't leave after all. It wasn't that hard! Was it? Ugh, she hated this. She didn't want to disappoint her father, but she didn't want to disappoint Ganta either! She heard Abbey trill down at her from a tree limb above her and her gaze flicked up toward the tan cardinal. "I know, I know! Just let me worry for a while!" she said with a little smile.

Her gaze turned back down then and she spotted the black and white male that she didn't recognize that seemed to be examining a den or something along those lines. She didn't really pay much attention to what he was doing though, all she could notice were his spots! Sure, Heather had a few spots too, but they weren't all over the place like hers were. She had never seen anyone else with spots all over until now! She gasped with surprise and suddenly she got very, very excited. Probably irrationally so. Her tail was wagging as she ran over to the man, giving him a huge smile as she skidded to a stop beside him. "Oh my gosh! You have spots too! I mean, yours are a little different, but they're pretty close!! How cool is that!" Suddenly it dawned on her that she was just yelling at a stranger and her ears flicked back bashfully while she gave him an apologetic grin. "Oh, sorry. That was rude, huh? Lemme try again!" She cleared her throat and made herself calm down before she gave him a more normal smile and said, "Hi there! I'm Roza! Nice to meet you!"

The quiet words from a young girl would hit the boys mind but he wouldn't pay attention to it. He was in a pack now so she could have been talking to anyone. And she was; she was speaking to her bird. So he would continue on, staring at his crappy little den.

He would be startled when the girl came flying up beside him, blurting out excited squeals of him and his spots. He couldn't help but smile and wag his tail though. He never truly had siblings or a family, and he was happy to start out new now. He didn't know this russet spotted female, but he knew that he should have so he would begin.

"Hello Roza," He giggled a little seeing how she forced herself to calm down some, "My name is Amarant. I've never met anyone else with spots either, besides my brother of course." Of course he saw Caeto from a distance and met with Isolde a few times but that wasn't a true introduction really. He would pause for a moment in case she wanted to say anything else and then would continue, "My father was Maverick Mathias, I got my spots from him. Who are your parents?"

When he mentioned that his brother had spots as well she grinned again and added, "Oh, that's neat! My sister Heather has spots too! They're just on her rump though and it's like gray spots on gray. Like where you have white she has dark gray and where you have black she has light gray!" Amarant was the first one she had seen with spots all over like she had so she was really excited to meet him. Of course, she was fairly excited to meet most new wolves, but this was extra special.

He mentioned that his father was someone named Maverick and that he had gotten his spots from him and it made her wonder where she had gotten her spots from. Leo had never talked about his father so all she knew was Leo, Svetlana, and Pip as her older relatives. "Leo is my dad! My mom is Svetlana, but she left a long time ago. Neither of them have spots though. I got my face mask marking thing from my mom though." She smiled sadly as she thought about her mother. She hadn't really thought about her lately besides when Alfred's new fox friend had appeared and talked about Svetlana's fox companion.

He would listen to her showing interest in what she had to say with a grin. He remembered when he was as excited as her. Granted, he still kind of was but his energy had died down a lot since he was a yearling and it wasn't cute anymore when he acted that way. Maybe to someone but not to most.

"Well my brother, Colten, was brown with black spots on his butt. I think I got it a little better than he had." He chuckled, implying that he found himself a little more handsome than his brother. It was weird thinking of Colten now. It had been so long since the last time he saw him that he was starting to forget some of the little things. It made him sad, but not at this moment. The girl's happy-ego would make that subside for later.

Ears perked to the mention of Leo. It was the only wolf he had met so far from the pack and the only one of his siblings as well. "Well Leo and me share the same dad so that makes me your uncle. That means you got your spots from your grandfather." It wasn't the first time he felt this kind of relationship with someone else, he was Cohen's uncle. But  now he had more of a chance to bond with these wolves and he wouldn't waste a minute of it.

He couldn't help but feel sorry for the girl who had lost her mother. He wasn't new to that feeling either and though he missed Maia with all his heart, the pain had numbed through the years."My mother passed away before I was a year old. I hope your mother returns soon. If not, you will meet her again one day." He reassured her, not trying to make her feel sad for him but just happy to think that her own mother would be back. He wasn't even sure if she knew what passed away meant, but she looked old enough to understand. It wasn't really something you learned until it actually happened in your life.
