He'd not been this far north before, and even during spring the lands lay frozen and bare. Well...parts of it, anyway. The Titan wandered aimlessly, no path set in his life since departing from his old home. The world seemed quite dreary, the beast having met no one exciting or coming across nothing of worth. So why didn't he just return home? Why did he choose to keep wandering around these lands? Perhaps it was the thought that if he returned, he would have given up. It was all too easy to go back to what you knew, and in some ways that was what cowards did. At least in his mind.

The angelic titan would pause in his thinking, massive form coming to still as the echoes of another creature reached his ears. Steel blue gaze wandered, looking for the source until finally, he spotted it. Some distance away, he saw what looked like giant fish resting on the ice. Though the more he stared, the more he doubted they were fish at all. Never had the beast seen a seal before, so the sight of what he'd found intrigued him. There were a small handful of them lying about on the ice, and slowly the male made his way towards them at first. After a few eager steps, however, he broke into a trot and then a run. The scent of them telling him that they were not fish, no. But some sort of mammal. Prey, perhaps? One way to find out. If it can breathe, then it can bleed...

With near ground breaking speed, the titans legs swallowed up the earth beneath his feet as he raced towards the sluggish creatures. The closer he got, the more he felt his throat grow parched with thirst. His teeth seemed to ache with the desire to tear into their flesh, and he sought to do just that. Teeth bared as he thundered upon them, the seals now noticing his approach, began to sound an alarm, waking those who had appeared to be napping as well. They all began to stir in a panic, and in their frenzied rush to try and wriggle away to safety, they had begun to collide with one another. Sneering, Atlas crashed down upon the nearest one, a fat and stocky creature turning towards him, big wide eyes finding his form coming down upon it.

A strangled cry is all that would come of it, as Atlas' teeth found purchase on the creatures throat. Teeth punctured skin and blubber, and the beast violently shook his head, the seal being tossed to and fro like a rag doll. Within seconds, he dropped the creature, it's neck now broken before he went after another. They began to slip away, but before the stragglers could escape, he would snag the tail of one seal, and drag it back towards it's dead companion. There he would leave it before rushing to grab another just as it moved into the shallows of the water. With protest, it cried out as it too was dragged away and tossed violently upon the carcass of its brethren.

Both seals now sat trapped on land, blood from the first seal marking their bodies as they screamed at him. Licking his lips, Atlas watched the distressed pair as they tried to figure out how they could get away. He stood between them and the water, as it seemed that's where they had been headed to escape. So he wondered...were they any capable on land? It didn't seem like it. He eyed them, limbs beginning to pace him back and forth as he wondered what to do with them next. He wasn't particularly hungry...but the first kill hadn't been because of hunger, anyway. No. It was much deeper than that.
