Spring was here! And with it, the snow was going away! Kairi had never seen the world without snow, and so far it was looking pretty! She had left the den a few minutes ago, her father still snoozing while her mother was probably out doing whatever it was that alpha's did. So Kairi took it upon herself to go out and about and explore at least one of their new homes. The little girl bounded through the grasses, the ground still somewhat cold and slippery as the slush steadily faded away into the earth. Dual toned eyes gazed about as she stopped near a large rock, nose twitching as she scented the air. There was a light breeze, cool and comforting as the new grasses tickled her paws. Tilting her head, she wondered what scent was being brought her way...it didn't smell like a wolf, but more like...like the prey that her parents brought to them to start eating. Except it wasn't overpowered with the smell of fresh blood. Was it a rabbit? A bird? Oh! What if she hunted it down herself and brought it back for her parents!? They would be so proud of her! With that thought in mind, she pressed her nose to the ground and began to aimlessly wander, attempting to track it in excitement. Walk, "Talk" Think

It was strange that it was getting warmer outside. He was used to seeing snow, and ice, and cold wet stuff. Now the snow was melting and sprigs of fresh green grass shot up through melting patches of snow and mud. It wasn't nearly as pretty as winter, but the new green stuff was certainly more interesting. It at least wasn't going to freeze his paws off if he stood in it for too long. The one thing he didn't quite appreciate was the way his fur was shedding off of him in patches. He didn't understand what it meant at first, but eventually he stopped noticing it and instead just took it as an opportunity to roll in the mud. Rory was half asleep when his sister crept out of the den, but the faint sound of paw steps on the den floor drew him from his slumber. Eyes opened sleepily as he watched his twin's form slip away from his groggy vision. He blinked slowly, yawned widely, and then rose to his paws. He refrained from shaking the loose hairs from his pelt and instead took off after Kairi before she got too far ahead of him. It wasn't long before he could see his smaller sibling with her nose to the ground. He grinned and instantly moved to a crouching position. He wasn't great at being silent, not yet, but he stalked after his sister with the hopes of creeping up on her. Once he felt like he was close enough he darted forward and leaped at her back with a wide grin and a puppyish attack-growl that wasn't nearly as fierce as he'd tried to make it sound. So engrossed in her task of trying to find this prey thing that she thought she was tracking, she didn't notice her brother tracking her down. Her nose was practically smooshed into the dirt, her tail wagging furiously behind her as she wandered in a not so straight line. Before she knew it, her ears caught the sound of a puppy growl and then suddenly her face was pressed into the dirt. She tumbled headfirst into the ground, her body flopping over her head as she twisted into a not-so-graceful cartwheel. Who the!? What the!? She looked wildly around the second she could right herself, and her bi-colored gaze fell on none other than her twin brother Rory. "Wowy! That's not faiw! You didn't give me a chance!" From her position on the ground, she picked herself up and launched herself back at her brother, giggling and laughing wildly as she tried to bring him down. Of course, she probably wasn't as strong as he was, but she would try with all her might! The girl would reach up to try and nip at his ear, hind legs pushing her forward as she tried to push him into the ground so she could get some payback! Walk, "Talk" Think
