It seemed Alamea was doomed to wander lost for a while longer, though it truly didn't bother her much. The young female had always wanted to see more of the world, at least more than her father had been willing to allow, which had not been much. The white she-wolf quickly drove those thoughts from her mind; the scars on her rump seemed to ache a bit every time she thought of her father. Here the forests blurred into one another, endless seas of green. The only interruption she had found to the green was the snow, though there was little enough of it here, what there was, was very wet and very sticky. Whenever she had to step in it, the snow clung to her fur and had to shaken free, or it melted against her skin and left her paws feeling cold and wet. Here however the green seemed to stop abruptly, through the white still clung to the ground in places. Black was what she saw, and something about it chilled her.

The smell of smoke hung thick in the air, her breaths becoming a bit labored as her lungs attempted to expel as much smoke as they could while still sucking in as much oxygen as would satisfy them. Her steps were tentative, aware that she could not rely on her sense of smell to detect others of her kind, though she highly doubt that she would run across anyone else. Her paws crunched through a small patch of snow, then over some long dead, mostly burnt leaves. Alamea kept her ears perked, ever swivelling to catch any sound. For a while she kept moving in silence, and it dawned on her that there didn't seem to even be any prey here and a small smile crept across her muzzle. At the moment the last thing Alamea had wanted was to run into anyone else.

The youth did eventually stop, she had begun panting heavily though she had only been walking. It seemed the smoke was affecting her more than she had originally thought. Alamea slowly lowered her backside to the ground, feeling some sudden relief in her paws as they no longer carried her full weight. Her jaw parted and her tongue lolled from her open mouth. Alamea began to wonder if it had not been such a great idea to come here.

His paws left prints of his feet as he traveled the now dead wood. It seemed not long ago fire had claimed its due, and the forest was having trouble bouncing back. Even with the freshly fallen snow the scent of the fire was still strong in his nostrils. He was unsure as to his decision to even traverse the dead wood. He had been certain that there would have been some unsuspecting creature to eat, but the further he traveled the less likely it seemed. That was when he picked up the scent of another wolf.
She seemed to not be too far ahead of him, considering how fresh the scent was. He looked towards the direction in which she would have been travelling and he debated about following or continuing on his way. He had been in the mood for some company, maybe they would be too. Or at least a possible hunting endeavor. He had been going too long in between meals, and help would be welcome.
Kypsis let his sturdy legs carry him onward, closing in on the presence of the she wolf. If it turned out she didn't want company he could always just leave, but it was so odd that they were both in the desolate place. Maybe they were meant to cross paths. He didn't keep himself from being heard, stealth was the last item on his mind, he wanted to be as noticeable as he could. His paws made the sparse snow crunch under each step as he drew closer. He could make out the shape of her a bit as the space shrank to a more reasonable distance. She seemed very pretty, he wondered how their encounter might go. He just wanted someone to talk to.
When he brought himself close enough to talk to her with out raising his voice he announced his presence to her, not that she hadn't seen him yet. "Hello over there, might you be seeking companionship? If that isn't the case I'll gladly let you send me away. He gave her a friendly smile, It just seems really lonely out here.

Alamea seemed to sit there for a long time, though she suspected it was not as long as it felt like. Her breathing had steadied, though it still wasn't as even as it could be. Her throat had begun to feel tight, coated, like the smoke was clinging to the inside of her throat. Alamea realized she should probably find something to drink. It was simply a matter of actually wanting to get up.

Alamea had just been about to start out again when she became aware of the approaching wolf, his scent drifting towards her, masked heavily by the ash in the air but he also wasn't exactly being quite. It occurred to Alamea that being with another wolf right now might be a good idea. She kept her ears up, tracking his progress towards her. He was clearly coming strait her way and she suspected he was also aware of that. There was the sound of paws in snow behind her and she turned to look at him, her body suddenly becoming rigid and her mind jumping into action.

Alamea was stunned, her eyes widening as she took in his form, his pelt. Her mind was quickly running through every possible scenario, every memory that sprung up at the site of the male. She was cycling quickly through several different emotions as he continued towards her; Fear, Anxiety, Doubt and slight feelings of kinship. "Hello over there, might you be seeking companionship? If that isn't the case I'll gladly let you send me away." She heard the words, vaguely registered them and their meaning but couldn't seem to grasp them. "It just seems really lonely out here."

Then her body sprang into action, months of submission bubbling to the surface. She automatically lowered her body, her ears pressing flat against her head, her lips drawing back and her tongue darting quickly in and out of her mouth. Her tail curled completely between her legs, her back arched and she pointed her muzzle up at him. The healing scars across her flank and the back of her backs paws were flaring up painfully as if enraged by the sudden appearance of the male. She choked on her words when she first tried to speak, then managed to say in a small, terrified voice. "F- father."

His eyes widened as the she wolf suddenly made herself submissive. It wasn't just the usual respectful nod he was used to getting from other loners. She was full out submitting herself to him, he felt weird because he knew he didn't deserve the display she was performing. He was just Kypsis, the loner from Dimenticato, there was nothing about him that warranted such fear and respect. He did not enjoy it at all, he had to get her up. But wait.. what had she called him?
He tilted his head at her single word to him, she had just called him her father. That cleared up some things, obviously she thought him someone he most certainly was not. He felt a bit of pity for the poor she wolf, if she did this when she even thought her father was coming around, Kypsis knew he had to have been an awful wolf. Sadness welled up in his eyes as he let his own demeanor become more submissive, to help her be more at ease around him. If he didn't feed into the fear then maybe she would return to a more relaxed state.
with his ears lowered and his tail slightly wagging at his ankles he lowered his head more to her level before he explained who he really was. "Dearest woman, I am Kypsis Destrucion, I am not your father. He looked at her sheepishly, feeling bad that he caused her such stress, "You don't have to be afraid of me."

Alamea was no longer in control, her instincts taking complete possession of her body. She was seeing and hearing with the distance of an outside observer. In the fog of her mind she was finally realizing the meaning of his words to her; there was a little voice in the back of her head telling her to calm down. That this wolf might not be who she thought he was. The voice was drowned out in a sea of fear though. Her eyes remained wide, trained on the male, never once did she remove her gaze from him.

He tilted his head and for a moment the small voice shouted above the roar of fear in her mind, but his inaction only managed to push the voice back under. She could see him thinking, and even vaguely registered a few emotions though through the fog of fear she could not recognize them. He began to slowly lower himself and Alamea's first thought was that he was going to attack her, he was gearing up for a pounce or to dart forward, but to her astonishment she saw him drop into a more submissive position. The voice made itself heard again.

"Dearest woman, I am Kypsis Destrucion, I am not your father." The male's words were slowly breaking through the sea of fear. "Not my father..?" She managed a hoarse whisper. She was still having a hard time grasping it but it finally seemed the voice was finally being heard. "You don't have to be afraid of me." Slowly the fea began to unfold herself. Her ears lifted a bit, her fangs were no longer bared and she straitened her back a bit. Her tail remained where it was though and she did not dare lift herself up yet.

He could see her ever so slightly lose the massive amount of fear that rolled through her body. He hated that he had suddenly cause her so much emotional distress. Kypsis was not one to be able to watch suffering, let alone be the cause of it. He continued to let himself drop towards the ground, he wanted to make himself as non threatening as possible. His smile became a bit wider as she relaxed, it seemed she was having difficulty realizing who he was.
Her soft words came to his ears, and he wanted to encourage the thoughts that he was Kypsis. He let a soft whine fall from his mouth, furthering his retreat from dominance. I can't be your father, I don't have any children. There was humour in his voice as he attempted to reduce the tension that was hanging in the air. He hoped she would be able to calm herself, her father must have been a horrid wolf to have cause so much pain.

Alamea still did not take her eyes of the male, her ears folding back from time to time, never really allowing them to stand straight. The pink orbs slowly dropped down as the male continued his dissent, her gaze suddenly and very briefly flew away from the male, searching, for an easy escape route if need be, then they returned. She flattened her ears a bit more when his smile grew wider, her mind briefly registering it as a sign of aggression before seeing it for what it was.

She jumped a bit as a whine reached her ears, not expecting it, but she grasped its meaning and finally allowed herself to rise a little bit, though still not to her full height. " I can't be your father, I don't have any children." She could hear some humor behind his words but she still too deep of a fog to react in anyway. Now that she had been presented with the thread of hope, that this male could not be her father, she was clinging to it desperately. As she ran her eyes over the male, as those brilliant pink orbs fell upon the markings that seemed so familiar, markings that stuck out in her memory she found herself doubting. Alamea had not seen her father in a while and her memory of him might be off; though that didn't put her fears to sleep completely.

He felt so bad about bringing her such terrible memories, she was deathly afraid of him, and though he was desperately attempting to bring her from the fog she struggled to find her way out. He just did his best, his breathing was calm and level, his posture non dominate. She didn't wish to talk to him, but maybe if he continued to feed her the re assuredness of his voice. "I don't even know your name."
He looked at her with a pleading look on his face, he wished her no ill will. The smile on his face said it all, he could do no more than just hope she would crawl from her shell.

Something finally clicked for Alamea, though she couldn't say what. The male would not have seen the change though as she wasn't completely committed to letting herself loose her submissive posture. Her eyes also remained glued to the male, particularly as he spoke. He was asking after name, and she briefly considered lying. Her voice was hoarse but she managed to croak, "I'm Alamea-"

His smile, she surmised that had been it, the thing that had cracked her. "And you're?" Her voice was a bit clearer this time, though she feared his answer. The female finally allowed herself to stand at her full height not that she was very tall to begin with, and her tail uncurled, hanging limp.

A hoarse voice was emitted from the sad she wolf, a name that he gladly clung to. "I?m Alamea?" A slight break through, at least her calling graced his ears. Her frightened position did not relinquish, but he didn't press the matter. He would do his best to allow her to come out of her shell on her own. "And you?re?" The question that followed was much clearer, but he could still feel the fear. He didn't answer until she became a bit more comfortable, her knees streightening and her tail grew limp. She would not cower anymore.
He let his submissive posture prevail, and let his soft voice flow over his tongue, "My name is, Kypsis Destruction I'm glad to meet you." He nodded his head deeply in respect, hoping he could continue to win her over. All the while his friendly smile danced across his pale lips.

Alamea had expected the man to relinquish his position upon noticing her change, and she was glad when he didn't, she was still nervous, still frightful and it was likely that she would not have reacted to well had he risen up as well. The words that reached her were spoken in a clear, calm voice. "My name is, Kypsis Destruction I'm glad to meet you." The relief that suddenly rolled over her was overwhelming, it did not stem the fear still clinging to the edges nor the nervousness but it felt a though a weight had been lifted.

"Nice to meet you Kypsis." She still did not speak as very loudly. The white female quickly dipped her head in greeting. Despite herself she allowed a tiny, sad smile to spread across her muzzle, but it quickly disappeared.
