It was long past a normal yearlings bedtime in fact it was into the early morning hours. A young scrawny creature was stirring about. He had no bedtime rules anymore and he had no warm den to return to. Both sisters were now gone and though he was living within a pack, the young boy felt completely alone. Most of it was his fault after seeing his parents die he never went to anyone to help him coup with the loss. In fact the boy secluded himself and refused the attempts that pack had made to help. He was suppose to be living within the healer's den, but when someone was sent to round him and his siblings up he hid refusing to go.

Since then he was working on his own and since the pack had been quiet he wasn't forced to attend anything. Problem was the boy needed to get out of this if he wanted to continue to live within the pack. He would need to step up and get more interactive and work to a different rank. He wasn't sure how to get out of this habit now and would need help even if he didn't want it.

Sighing the yearling flopped down on the ground beside the opening of his family den. Laying his head on his paws he gazed up at the moon and sighed.

The femme hadn’t seen much of Brightmoon and Quelt’s children and it worried her. Two of them seemed to disappear from Fiori completely… and the last little one? Carletta was trying to find him during the day without much luck. It was as if the two of them were playing a game of hide and seek and Bluemoon was a very, very good hider.

The tri-colored femme had risen later that evening, after midnight, in hopes of clearing her head. She felt like she wasn’t being a very good duchess… nor a good mother figure for the little ones that needed it. Her blue gaze was downcast as she padded along. She wasn’t even particularly searching for anyone that night when she caught Bluemoon’s scent, trailing it to the den where his family had once lived.

The Spanish dame frowned, ears lowering as she edged closer. “Hello little Bluemoon.” Carletta spoke up in a soft voice, hoping she didn’t startle the young one. But would he even want to talk to her? Would she even get the chance to reach out to him?

The night was quite aside from the sounds of the crickets and the owls. He had grown fond of the nighttime because of how peaceful it was and because of how well he blended in with the darkness. The troubled boy had grown used to doing his own thing and being a ghost of the pack. Without his out going sisters he had no one to push him into interacting or doing anything he would normally hesitate with. He would admit that it was lonesome, how he had been living, but he wasn't sure how o change his life and was to fearful to get really close with anyone. Anyone close to him had died or disappeared and the boy feared that he had become cursed.

He growled lightly and shook his head trying to rid his thoughts and clear his mind. He would need to find something to occupy himself so he could quit thinking about his life, current and past. He was just about to rise from his spot and get moving when the women's soft voice called out to him making his ears shoot forward in attention. Bi colored eyes quickly zeroed in on her as he sat up straight looking at her in an odd calmness.

Her coat pattern looked vary familiar and he tried to search through his mind to remember who she was. It was likely he saw her at the last pack meeting, perhaps her rank was promoted or something? He couldn't rightly remember and it was vary frustrating. Of course at the time he was still in no mind frame to absorb that pack meeting. The dark coated boy felt at loss with words, unsure of how to answer her yet his attention was all hers. He didn't try to run, no, the boy stayed put. He was no coward and would not run from her.

The pup didn’t answer her, but he didn’t run either. Carletta took this as a good sign, a gentle, yet sad smile appearing upon her face. She lowered her body to the ground, canting her head to one side as she regarded the young one. “I Carletta, Bluemoon. I…” She searched for the right words, struggling a little with her English in fear of accidentally saying the wrong thing to the young one. “I Duchess… Want friend you.” The wolfess began to wag her tail a little bit, but then paused, frowning again.

“Sorry for parents… Parents lost for Carletta also.” The female tried to explain that she’d lost her parents too, though unlike the young one she still had her sister to rely on. Amaia… Carletta missed her. Hopefully soon she’d return to her… maybe even join Fiori! “Bluemoon… Carletta want help. Be friend. Want be friend you.” Her expression softened again, and that smile returned. At least he was willing to listen… that was the first step. But would he get angry now? More distant because she wanted to spend time with him?

Ears swiveled forward as the women began to speak letting his ears catch her words and his mind absorb what was being said. He had never really heard her talk before, despite seeing her around the pack territory, so when she spoke he felt his left eyebrow raise. Why couldn't she talk right? He had no idea that wolves could have different languages. Maybe if the boy had been more social he would have been able to learn this, but the fact was he hadn't. The boy didn't interrupt her to ask the question burning within his brain instead he continued to listen as she struggled through her words. She wanted to help him? But why, didn't she know he was cursed? (or so the young male thought). He had probably already infected her with his curse by staying instead of fleeing.

His ears pinned back lightly as he looked to her, his eyes questioning her offer. She had also lost her parents at least this is what she stated. She didn't want to get involved with him, something bad would happen to her and he was sure of it. The young one huffed lightly before shaking his head no.

"You don't want to help me, I'm a curse!" he replied.
