Colorful Days

She loved the colorful days of autumn. It was soothing, and the mild temperatures even now were just absolutely amazing. It wasn't too hot, nor too cold, and that did wonders for the in-heat female. On top of that, a lot of vegitation was still growing and flourishing, and even now Vali was able to gather herbs and such for what seemed to be a mild winter.
A mild winter... Vali smiled. That'd be nice; last winter was pretty harsh with storms. If she could have a winter that didn't have a lot of snow and was only cold sometimes, that would be absolutely amazing. It would save wolves from getting sick, it would make finding prey easier, and it would make life all around a lot nicer. Any little ones born, too, would be a lot more safe than if it was harsh... though she doubted there'd be any little ones born in the winter. They'd have to be incredibly lucky in the pack for that to happen.
A sad little smile twisting her jaw, she wandered towards the lake that lay in the middle of the territory. She sat in the groves of the trees, a soft sigh leaving her as she enjoyed the cool breeze. For now, she'd just enjoy the day.

Then they went on to say the pearly gates
Brandr was tracking. He'd scented some elk skirting around the borders of the serpent plains and was intent on finding their location and to determine i they still remained in the territory or were just passing through. It was possible that as they foraged for sustenance in the cooler weather they'd move through the plains, searching for whatever they could find. That meant food for the wolves. Of course he'd have to see if he could rally a larger group next time.
He was moving toward a stream that ran through the territory when he caught sight of a pale woman in the distance. Brandr scented the wind, nostrils flaring, she was of Abaven and he felt his limbs relax. Brandr had been trained to fight and hunt so that he could take his father's place in the pack but even so he'd always preferred hunting to fighting and wasn't looking to engage a trespasser in battle. He loped casually toward the woman and called out.
"Hello? Hi there, are you out for a walk?"
