It had been far too long since she spent any time with her kids, and for that she felt terrible. Not only did she feel like a bad mom, but she also felt like a bad mentor to her daughter. She had been tasked with training her, preparing her and getting her ready. But with all the time they had, she hadn't done a thing for her daughter. Now though, she wanted to try and make it up and get her daughter prepared. The lack of training in the pack was shameful, and it should be a lot better. Things should be better than they were now, and yet...everyone seemed too lax. What was happening? Perhaps she wasn't the only one that noticed. She hadn't done very well to not be a part of the problem, but she wanted to try and get things up and going if nobody was willing to do it on their own.
Standing at the castle steps, the doors stood open and the sky was mildly cloudy which in turn left the weather cool. Winter in Auster was strange, but at least it was way more tolerable than the summer was, especially with her thick coat. She wasn't sure where everyone was, but right now she was just looking for one wolf. Tilting her head back, she let out a light call for Afrit before she walked down the steps and around the structure in search of her daughter.
Afrit had spent most of her time exploring around Talis' lands. There was the one time she'd gone to the Bifrost and ran into the nice woman called Heather, but other than that she'd stuck close to home. She'd been hoping to start her training with her mother, but she hadn't pestered her about it. Now that she was getting older it was easier to realize that Avalon wasn't as young as she used to be and so Afrit didn't want to bother her about it. She could have bothered Dragon or someone to train her, but she'd refrained. Needless to say she was happy when she heard her mother's call. It'd been a while since they'd spent any time together. She ran towards the darker woman and her tail wagged eagerly when she spotted her coming out of the steps of the castle.
