Out of Nowhere

Following the man to the borders felt downright... What was even the word? Mara had vague memories of this place, but she couldn't quite place them. That was even stranger since she didn't make a habit of hanging near packs, a habit developed from her days with her dearest sibling that was always up to absolutely no good. She maintained the practice after their separation since really Mara wasn't much for socialization or paling around with packs. Big surprise, the woman who was always angry not wanting to chit chat.
She didn't know what to expect here, what was the protocol when a member of a pack brought home a woman carrying his pups? She'd probably dislike this pack. The word alone brought back unpleasant memories, gross. Shaking her head hard in an attempt to physically remove the bothersome thoughts to - to no avail - Mara stopped for a moment to survey the lands. It was a lot easier to walk here than at some lower elevations. Hesitating at the edge of the territory, her brows furrowed and she looked at the man she'd still not bothered to get the name of with a look that asked, 'now what?'
Right about now was when she really wished she'd not left Feli's side. Things may have been different if she'd been with him earlier. No, there wasn't any use in worrying about that. Right now she had to face what had happened.
