Lately I'm getting better

Traveling was something that seemed to have always been a part of Alina's life. Even when she was with her mother, they traveled. She could barely remember it, walking until she was certain that her paws were going to fall off, with short rests in places. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if she had been able to see where they were going. Her own snort of bitter laughter drew her from her thoughts, and she pushed them to the back of her mind, continuing on her way. Despite the season, it was surprisingly dry. Alina wasn't sure if she liked it; she was one that preferred cooler weather, as long as it wasn't truly cold. But this just seemed odd to her.

The sound of water caught her attention. Her head turning towards the source her ears perked. It would be a nice place to rest, wouldn't it? Turning completely, she headed towards the source, her pace only slowing when the sound of it became almost overpowering. A waterfall? Huffing, she settled down, legs stretching out. As her paws barely touched the surface, she gave a slight jolt. She hadn't expeccted to be that close to the water. After the initial surprise, she lowered her head to place it on her legs, eyes closing for just a few moments.

Maybe this would be a good place to take a nap...
