The journey here from the South was easy, though on hindered paws it was an annoyance. The Praetor woman was getting tired of traveling. For a whole year she had done nothing but travel; nothing but running from her past. She'd came across this place very recently, which seemed to be brimming with life. So she'd decided to stay a while, perhaps get a feel of the land and the establishments and perhaps join one of the groups. It would certainly be a welcoming peace of mind to have a pack once more, to look after her and vice versa. In truth, she'd missed her old life. But there was no going back; not after what had happened.

So she continued on, loping across the sandy beach of the new area she'd come across. It was some kind of delta, split into three rivers which dispersed into the ocean which surrounded the land mass. Her thick grey-scaled coat fizzed out from the humidity, making her look even larger than she already appeared. A blank expression hid the many emotions playing inside her mind - lost, confused, even a little scared. It took her completely out of her element. All her life, Alis was the stronger one, the faster one, the headstrong one. It was an odd, unforgiving feeling of dwelling that resided inside her now. But all she could bare to do was just continue along the path ahead of her ruby-eyed beauty.

Ásvor was parched. She'd spent some time in the eastern lands as of late, deciding to try to find a friend and having very little luck. Her friend Valdis had explained that her pack was in these lands, but all she had found was a mostly-abandoned territory with faded pack scents. Surely Crew hadn't disbanded so quickly, had it? Her ceaseless wandering didn't put her mind at ease any, but she definitely needed to rest, suddenly feeling worried for her companion.

She'd caught scent of water nearby - she knew she had been heading in the direction of the ocean, but she wasn't quite sure just how close she was. But finally she caught scent of fresh water, mingled with the briny stench of the sea, and she determined she was due for a break. The red-faced woman redirected her course just slightly, hardly able to stop a grin from creeping across her lips once she caught sight of the river.

The river wasn't the only thing that caught her eye though. A stranger lingered near the edge of the water, a lady of rather formidable size, with a coat of white and greys. Unsure yet if she was eager for company today, her pace slowed significantly. What she was sure of, though, was that she wanted water, and she wasn't particularly interested in finding somewhere else to drink at the moment. Her expression brightened just a touch as she drew closer, her muzzle dipping slightly to the earth as she approached her cautiously.

Alis was unsured of what to do with herself. The thought had crossed her mind more often these days - should she find a new home? A new pack that would protect her, help her grow? Here with the wide ocean not far from sight, she couldn't help but feel so small despite her large size. She was used to having two brothers; they had been so close earlier in life that they had damn near been conjoined triplets. She missed that connection - that neededness. Perhaps it was time to start searching..

But not at this moment. At this moment, there was a stranger approaching. Her posture changed immediately, taking on a defensive rigidness. Her nares worked tirelessly, searching the air to find some information on the individual. She'd met two already, but in this strange land she wasn't sure about anyone. When the scent came back as female, the behemoth woman relaxed quite a bit. She continued forward, intelligent eyes wiping over the figure just feet in front of her now.

She stopped short just a few leaps from her, taking in her exotic appearance compared to her own grey-scaled. She failed to find something intelligent to say to the woman, so she decided upon an unvarnished bit of "Nice weather, isn't it?"

Ásvor was used to feeling.. uncertain about her fate, most of the time. Some days she wondered if she might, too, be better off in a pack - but a pack ran by anyone but the Finnvis left a remarkably foul taste in her mouth. Still, she had gained a disappointingly small amount of knowledge in these last few seasons, and her thirst for knowledge - nearly rivaled by her thirsty for actual water, right now - was nearly surpassing her familial pride and independent spirit. These thoughts always crept into her mind when she met someone new, wondering if their meeting would be brief, or if something more important would come of it. Most wolves were temporal to her, but a few had left a lasting impression. Would this one?

Her eyes narrowed as the stranger's posture stiffened, though she wasn't surprised. She seemed to relax, though, as Asvor closed the distance between them.  "I suppose it is," she replied evenly, her head tilting slightly to the side as she eyed her curiously. After a moment of thinking, she spoke up again.  "What brings you to these lands? Besides water, that is?" Her expression remained pleasantly neutral as he gazed at her.
