It had been a while since the girl started into a run, spooked by a large bear and she didn’t look back to see that it had stopped following her. She ignored the protest of her body wanting to rest, she pushed herself onwards and letting her sides heave almost manically as she panted.

Athesia hadn’t really paid attention to her surroundings and neither did she stop to see where she was, only would she make sure to weave between the trees and dodge them as she went along in her hurried pace. Which was a mistake on her behalf as she was quick to tumble over roots that had grown up from the ground, her right hind paw caught between them and her chest hitting the ground with a thud. She winced as she tried to get back up, looking back at her caught paw. Then she realised there was no bear following her which brought some relief to her, however, she quickly went back to focus on getting her paw out of those roots.

Moving her body in different directions, she would be able to free herself but it seemed the fall and roots had caused her to have a limp. She would be careful not to put much weight on the sprain and if she did, it would cause a low whine to come from her.

It had been quite a while since the last time he had been in this part of the world. He was used to the giant trees at this point so he paid more attention to where he was going and the world around him rather than taking in the sights so to speak. The snow crunched under his paws as he walked even though the snow wasn't nearly as thick as it had been last time he was here. The spring brought a bit of warmer weather, but of course this was the north. He didn't know exactly why he thought it would be any different.

Everything was fairly silent around him - that is until a flurry of paw steps alerted him to someone running close by. He stopped and listened, his ears perked forward and gaze scanning the woods. The sound of running ended rather abruptly with a hard thud. Curiosity got the best of him and he hurried forward toward the noise. He spotted the smaller woman a short distance away right as she was pulling her paw out from a tangle of roots. Ah, that explained it. Her limp was pretty obvious as she started trying to walk again. "Hey!" he called to get her attention as he trotted over to her. "Hey, are you alright? Looks like you had quite a fall there, huh?"

Gritting her teeth each time she tried to put her injured paw down, Athesia didn’t make a sound to signal her pain and did her best not to express it. Despite her features saying otherwise, she would be going away from this fall with a bruised chest and a twisted hind paw. A low huff came from her as her eyes kept switching back from looking around her to her paw. She would just need to take it easy for now until it didn’t hurt so much, she knew it wasn’t broken or fractured at least which she was thankful for.

Hey! The burnished girl quickly turned her head in the direction of the voice, her ears pinned against her skull. She watched quietly as the male came to approach her and she would respond with a submissive posture. Hey, are you alright? Looks like you had quite a fall there, huh? Tail slightly tucking itself between her legs and her body lowered to the ground. “I’m o-okay and yeah I d-did,” she responded with low and soft vocals, she didn’t make exact eye contact with him as her own gaze remained close to the floor.
