Ashmedai led the woman close to the borders. He was careful to not get too far away from her. He wondered how bad her sight was. When they neared the pack, Ashemdai took a moment to sniff around, finding any rabbit trails.
There one was. It was so close to the borders, digging for some roots or some shit- whatever rabbits did. Ash paused, "See that? It was a serious question.
"Circle around wide into the pack boundaries a little. I'll startle it right towards you. As long as you lay low, it should run practically right into your jaws and we still won't be be all that deep inside border."
His voice was low, only loud enough for Lyka to hear. He didn't wanna spook the food. Ashemdai took into a crouch and motioned for Lyka to start her test.

Lyka crouched down and sneaked around the border and tried to distance herself from the blur. She distanced herself enough until it became a white ball. She knew she couldn't say anything because it would be a call, obviously scaring the prey, making it escape. She was still crouching, her legs getting a little tired from being bent for this amount of time. She hoped it would be quick so she could rest her legs once she caught the rabbit.
She tried to focus on the blur. It was digging around. She still saw Ash's blur behind it. Now she was waiting for Ash to scare the prey so she could catch and kill it.

Ashmedai waited for Lyka to get in position. She moved slowly into the pack borders and finally crouched down, waiting on Ash's next move.
The large male reared, then took off after the rabbit. As soon as Ashmedai started to move, so did the rabbit. He was careful to try to corral it towards the woman. He knew that if he got too close, it would be able to turn a sharp corner with little effort, then their meal would be lost. As soon as Ashmedai hit the pack border, he stopped and backed up a bit. This part of the test was all Lyka. He hoped she'd be able to catch the panicked critter.

Lyka noticed that Ash's blur moved closer, and the rabbit's started racing towards her even faster. She already had her jaws open, and when she saw the rabbit's blur dominate her field of vision, she clamped down and struck the rabbit's back. It started squirming for a few seconds before becoming limp. She had broken its spine.
"Nice." The woman thought as she brought the kill to Ashmedai. "Here it is. Are we just gonna bring it to the pack or taunt them with it? I'd rather taunt 'em." If this pack was so fun to mess with, why not just bring the kill home after picking on them a little bit? Maybe eat it in front of them? She had plenty of ideas.

She got it- a little to Ash's surprise. His icy eyes widened just a tad as the thing stopped kicking. Lyka brought the kill to Ashmedai. He didn't even have to cross the border. He was beginning to have thoughts about keeping her for himself since she was fairly obedient and willing to do whatever. Ash shook the thoughts from his mind and smiled down at the smaller wolf.
"We can taunt them with it, or we can just scent mark it and drop it off in their territory and ditch. They'll smell us already, but we can add insult to injury then get out of here before we turn this test into a scuffle."
He wouldn't mind fighting some of the Abaven wolves, but Lyka might get hurt or captured and then she'd expect him to save her right? That would be a bit of a drag. Better safe than sorry.

Lyka had second thoughts about taunting them. Maybe she would get captured and held hostage? She didn't want to get captured. Besides, that kind of gossip would really spread around like wildfire. She decided to just drop it off and let them find the kill. It'll have Lyka and Ash's scent on it, so it'll be pretty amusing for them to run around trying to find the culprits. But the woman wouldn't be there for it, so it might be pretty boring. Well, one can only imagine.
"Actually, I think I'll just leave it." She dropped the rabbit. "I think it'll be fun just thinking about how'd they react to a rabbit who has a scent of a wolf that isn't theirs. We can't be there for it, of course, but it'll be hilarious!"

Aww now she was chickening out? Well, Ash hadn't touched the rabbit or crossed the border technically so whatever. When she put the rabbit down, Ash shrugged, "Whatever, your scent is still on it and in their pack. If they wanna they can chase after us, you know?"
Ash turned away, he wasn't too scared of Abaven.
"You know if you join a pack and they have enemies, you become their enemy by association. That you can't back out of." Ashmedai knew from Imperium that you couldn't just run away and once you were in a family or in a pack, you shared enemies, even if you didn't want to. Hell, he would still kill to crunch on the bones of Hellstrom's old pack members- okay, Ganta wasn't that bad- and they didn't even technically do anything to them except lose a war.
His warning was earnest, though.
"You need to learn to think a lot about your actions and who you associate with," he said. "Including me."
Now, a lofty smile returned to his face, "Well, if we're done here, we might as well leave."
Ash began to walk off, not really waiting for Lyka to follow. If she decided to follow after all that, she was either braver than Ash originally thought, or more stupid.
"Of course, this is one of the oldest and largest packs in the lands. You can always just wait here to join it. Might make a good home for you."

Ash seemed to have made a few good points. Lyka was being a little weirder than she usually was. Maybe it was an influence from Ash, but she didn't know.
Well if she wanted to join a pack, she would have to look around a little more before making a huge decision. And Abaven wouldn't be her first choice. She'd probably have to meet new wolves that are in a pack that have an in with the alpha. That would be better than to just wander into someone's territory and sit there until someone shows up on patrol.
Well, Lyka made her decision. She wouldn't be joining Abaven. It is one of the oldest packs, but she didn't really care for the territory. She wanted someone beautiful like the river where she met Ash. But since she already marked on Abaven's territory, she decided to look somewhere else.
"It was nice meeting you, Ash!" She said to the young wolf before he left her field of vision. Then she decided to head out as well.
