The intruder from the other pack had left him feeling on edge. The male had acted strange, maybe a bit stupid, but overall that didn't make him feel any better about it. He still should have known better than to cross their borders and piss in their river and Lionel had made sure to stick very close to home. He refused to let another cross into the pack ever again if he could help it. His life had been consumed by border patrols mostly and constant vigilance. Had that wolf been scouting, testing to see how they'd hold up in a fight with numbers maybe? It was hard to keep the paranoia at bay.

Heather's actions had concerned him. Where he'd backed off so he was prepared to handle things with words, and later a fight if it came down to it, Heather had wasted no time in getting directly in the male's face. It was a little scary to think she was so headstrong at that point. Had it been smart to intimidate him like that? He shook his head as he patrolled along the border. It'd been a while since he'd checked up on his sister, even longer since he'd checked up on his other siblings, and he regretted it. After all he'd promised to be around for her to be her rock. They pushed each other to be better and he wanted to be there for her, especially when the time came for her to lead the pack.

Well there was no procrastinating any longer. Even if she didn't want to answer any questions he had for her he at least wanted her company while he marked the borders. His head raised upwards as he let out a soft rumbling howl for her. It wasn't urgent, he didn't want to worry her, but he hoped she would come. It would be like old times - just with a bit more responsibility and a bit more weight on their shoulders.

Lots of things had been happening, she'd been running around like crazy. It was only a matter of time where she wanted to settle with herself. Her father needed a break that was for sure - lately she'd felt herself slipping but right on time torn back again. Meetings had made her look at these wolves, Fiori and wonder what was best for the next generation to continue on. Her ears flicked as she walked along the borders. Her tail twitching with anticipation and the thought of an intruder. Well, with any luck they wouldn't have to deal with such a thing again.

When she heard her brothers call, she was already up to it. His scent invading her nostrils as she crouched low and let a grin creep across her face. Screw however old they were, she was going to sneak behind him and get the jump. Trying to at least, get around the male seeing as she had been patrolling she was not too far away. Once close enough, hoping that she could jump onto his rump and playfully nip at his fur. Not too hard though she didn't want to hurt him.

"Talk"

Leo as Heather's father is free to crash her threads as he see's fit. Lionel as her close brother is also allowed to do the same.
Heather has boderline personality disorder in the event of extreme stress she can become aggressive and gloomy with no filter but will have no memory of these episodes after.

As it turned out Lionel didn't have to wait for very long. He had expected her to come from in front of him, but she had different ideas. He didn't hear her approach (he was expecting to hear footfalls after all) and didn't notice her until he felt a weight on his rump as she dragged his hind end towards the ground. An undignified yelp of surprise escaped him as she nipped him and his head whirled around to look at his attacker.

His surprise didn't linger for very long when he noticed that his sibling was the one who had gotten a hold of him. A wide grin stretched across his russet face as he looked back at Heather before dragging his rump out from underneath her. Now that he was free he turned fully to greet her in a play bow before standing up to try and nuzzle her face.

"Good to see you're in a good mood." He said with a chuckle. At least she wasn't going to be a boring Queen.

Heather smiled as she stood herself back up. Her tail moved from side to side as she looked at her brother. It'd been what felt like forever since she'd seen him, she couldn't lie and say that it didn't make her sad. Of course he was probably busy with one thing or another. Heather felt kind of sad that she had to depend on others for her mood - she just silently suffered in her woe is me while confusing herself all the same. "Well sulking and being in a panic never helped anyone." she noted as she turned to look through the trees.

"I hope your ready for the party. I wanted to have it sooner but with the influx of members well I got busy." She giggled softly. Trying to seat herself as she let her thoughts pass her by. The seasons were coming along and before soon she'd be getting older and older. That thought in itself was rather strange.
