Lydia was on the hunt for lavender again, the scent was fresh on the breeze all she had to do was find it with several pups in tow. Pyralis and Amon had gone off on some adventure and so she was watching Ashiel and Asharya and she never knew when the youngest of the Abraxas litters might also join them. She'd been on 'loan' to Naamah and her kids and Lydia was really beginning to wonder if she would actually be let go at the end of this. Knowing her luck the Abraxas would have litter after litter and she'd never get out of here but… then she wasn't entirely sure what she would do if she did. She had no family or home to return to anyway and as frightening as the Abraxas were and despite her whisperings of various mantra she find herself settling into this new life. That frightened her.

Focusing on what she was doing she maneuvered along the canyon floor, nostrils flaring as she turned the corner to see the familiar plants waving lightly in the breeze.

Another day with Lydia while her Mama was out on an adventure. Asha couldn't find it in herself to be upset, because today was going to be extra amazing. Her baby cousins were finally big enough to waddle around on their own, and she could continue her crusade to prove that she (and maybe Ashi too) was the best! In all honesty, Gaios and Aaliyah weren't that much younger than she and her brother, but that didn't matter one bit to the flame-coated hellion. They were her baby cousins and they would always be her baby cousins, she had had every intention of treating them that way.

"What are we even looking for, anyways?" she asked, running forward a few paces to walk at Lydia's side. The summer sun had melted her rotund puppy body away. Half a year old now, she was beginning to hint at the titanic woman she would one day become. Whatever it was they were hunting for, she was bound and determined to find more of it than her brother or her cousins. If there was one thing she'd learned, it was that absolutely everything could be a competition if you tried hard enough!

Ashiel trotted silently after Lydia just taking in the cool autumn morning and the sound of the wind overhead. He liked going for walks and couldn't wait til they started going on longer walks and camping in strange new places. He was more than ready for a little adventure. Though apparently his mom and uncle decided to go alone this time. Apparently it was supposed to be really dangerous. Ashiel had rolled his eyes at that. They were Abraxas weren't they? Just how dangerous could it really be? So he was stuck with Lydia again. She was fine in her demure, simple way but he also found her really boring and he wasn't the least bit interested in looking for plants.

He glanced at Asharya as she asked her question, butting in before Lydia could answer. "Lavender, right? That purple plant right?"

Lydia grinned as she spied the lavender and nodded her head in that direction as Asharya asked her question.  Before she could speak though Ashiel interrupted and she nodded.  "Yes, we're looking for lavender.  It can help wolves calm down and make them feel more relaxed and at peace."  Neither pup, as far as she knew was interested in healing so she kept her comments brief.  The wind whispered through the canyon, causing the lavender spikes to sway sleepily in the air.  It was relaxing, something she sorely needed from dealing with Pyralis' pups all the time.  It was nice to have such a bountiful supply though she knew the raining season would likely wipe it out.

Lydia trotted over to the plant, bending her teeth down to the base of the stalk she began to trim some off.  As she worked she laid the fronds on top of a rabbit skin which she was using as a temporary carrying case.
