BURN THE WHITE FLAG!

Wind whipped around Natha as she slipped quietly into the gorge, sheltering in the dense forests.  The afternoon sun was obscured by the greenery and while the winds were reasonably warm she didn't care to have it howling in her ears.  In the meantime she turned her focus to the task at hand, lunch.  She had missed breakfast and was more than ready to dig into a nice warm meal but she'd have to find and catch something first.  She eyed the birds up in the trees and the squirrels that skittered about.  Not easy prey.  Small morsels for a lot of work but she wasn't sure what else to try so with a leap she scurried up an oak tree, resting in the lower branches and she calculated her next move.

He was sidetracked from his newest hobby quite easily. His distraction came in the form of a rather large and plump snowshoe hare. He was determined to not let it get the best of him. As it turned he turned. As it twisted he twisted. He was a man on the hunt for something more than carrion for his love interest. If it wasn't for that blasted shift of the wind he would of had it and quicker than this. It had given him away and he cursed it. He was panting and tiring though. He wasn't made for speed like Gabe. He was made for brute force and fighting. If a moose wasn't too big for him he would of forsaken this rabbit in hopes of catching one. Besides he was pretty sure Gabe much preferred the taste of fresh rabbit.

He snapped at its hand quarters as he closed in on it. Itg sent the beast toppling butg it was up much to soon for Sam to finish it. Its white pelt was bloodied by its new wound. The scream it made was delicious. As it made a beeline for the trees and disappeared beneath one Sam gave chase. His commotion was sure to send squirrels running and birds to the air. He didn't even take in the scent of a cat as he dug at the burrow and stuck his head in it. He had it now! The thing made a mistake in choosing a escapes burrow and not it's usual night one. This burrow didn't smell like it had any exits and he could smell rabbit in it. He was a digging madman. His paws webbing helped to scoop furiously at the snow and dirt. All he had to do was get closed enough to snap up this hare. Patients was not his strong suit at the moment.

As he got close enough the rabbit was grabbed and started kicking and screaming. Its claws scraped up trickles of blood on his blue nose and he quickly pulled it out. It was about seven pounds and worth ever ounce of energy he spent chasing it. As it finally fell limp he gave a satisfied nod to snap its spine to be on the safe side. Only then did he sit about five feet away and drop it. He panted and hung his head as he fought to catch his breath in the cold northern air. All too soon he was giving hurried barks for gabe to find him. Gabe had to appreciate this he was sure. Gabe hadnt had much fresh exceot fish recently and sam wanted to do his best to give him more. He deserved that much at least. He ignored the presence of the ravens and the scent of cat still though. He wasn't concerned.

Walk, "Gabriel speaks", "Samael speaks", Think

As his brother and current stalking interest Gabriel is allowed in any of his threads regardless of tags. Also as the father of Leviathan, Sathanus, and Mammon Sam is allowed to pop into any of their threads as he sees fits regardless of how they are marked.

I'd rather be dead than live a lie
BURN THE WHITE FLAG!

Natha watched the potential prey with rapt attention, searching for any flaw or weakness she could exploit.  Golden eyes shifted from one creature to another until they finally rested on a young squirrel.  Her nostrils flared and her eyes watched it intently.  She could not explain what it was about the creature that had caught her attention but she knew there was something wrong with it.  It was more lethargic than it's kin, slower to move and a slight rasping sound could be heard in its breathing.  Had it caught some sort of respiratory disease?  She was wary of diseases she could catch but the little creature didn't seem to have anything she thought was transmissible.  Natha began her quiet climb up.  She would rest in trees but she did not often hunt in them.  There were so many variables, chief among them being that if she failed to calculate which branches would support her weight she would crash to the earth.  She was a fairly large feline after all.

Natha moved slowly, a lesson in patience.  She wanted to move as closely as she could… just one more step…. the squealing of a rabbit echoed through the forest and caused the animals to scatter including her prey.  With a violent swear she sprang forward, leaping up several branches as her panicked quarry instead chose to scatter down the tree.  No!  She turned as sharply as she could, sending leaves scattering as she darted down the tree.  For a moment she feared the squirrel would scurry down to the finer end of a limb where she could not follow but fate was on her side as it dived into a hollow in the tree.  Her long limbs aided her as she shoved her right foreleg into the hole, massive paws and razor claws pinning the creature.  She continued to snarl in frustration as she trie to pull the wiggling creature out of the tree.  It weakened quickly and when she pulled it out she quickly bit into it's head with a crunch to still it.

Securing her jaws around the squirrel she looked about to see what had caused the ruckus in the first place and nearly spoiled her hunt.  Hurried barks made her flinch.  Ugh… wolf.  This place was simply crawling with them and as she peered down she spied a weird looking male standing over a rabbit.  He was a massive wolf and the feline decided she was perfectly happy to stay up in the tree.  Her gaze fell on the strange blue color of his flesh and she wrinkled her nose.  Disease.  He had to be sick with something.  How else could one account for the color.  She set to work on the squirrel, crunching delightfully into its flesh as she watched the wolf below, hoping for a show.
