Your Right is My Wrong
Xzarnia Dark blue eyes stared out into the clearing, a young wolf residing on a rotting log. Her slender legs curled under her body, ears twitching at every sound they caught. A soft breeze flowed by and combed through her silky fur. The adolescent nearly missed it, as there were more important things to think about. While her expression was bare, perhaps even cold and unwelcoming, there was much more going on in her mind. How long has it been- a week? A week since she left the small group she ran with, a week since the fight with her father that ended with her leaving. Oh how Xzarnia regrets it. His last taunting words haunted her mind. It kept pecking at the back of her head, making the wolf growl as frustration washed over her. The black and white female was tried hunting just moments ago, being able to catch nothing but an old rabbit that had almost no meat on it's ones. her belly rumbled with hunger, begging to be filled with something. With a snort Xzarnia stood to her paws, gingerly leaping off the rotting wood. Laying around was not going to soothe her stomach, nor was it helping her head in all honesty. She's not going back. That would be accepting defeat. Returning with her tail behind her legs- almost unthinkable. The idea itself make the female wrinkle her nose in disgust. Xzarnia blinked and pushed the thought away. Right now, she needed to focus. Food was a necessity. Not him. Moves | Speaks | Thinks |
So why not check out an island that she could walk to, thanks to a narrow strip of land? So she did - though she wasn't expecting another wolf's scent to hit her so immediately as she started walking about the island, searching for any herbs, really. She meandered her way towards the other who she had scented, and found that it didn't take too long - the other was close by. As she spotted the wolf, she called out quietly, "Hello!"
Xzarnia Round ears perked as a voice carried itself towards her. Xzarnia's eyes followed, the orbs scanning the area until it landed on a female wolf. One gaze upon her frame showed that this woman was one of high status, though her stance at the moment was not one of aggression, as the youngster usually associated to high-ranked canines. "Hi." The yearling replied. It was plain and unsure, but not weak, hoping that her stomach wouldn't announce itself during this. The monochrome wolf stood rigid, ready to either bolt or snarl depending on the other's actions. "What...what brings you here?" Xzarnia asked after a moment of silence. She never was good at talking to people and this was not anything new. A stupid question- perhaps. But it was better than awkwardly standing before the older with a confused expression. Vali's tail started wagging, almost of it's own accord, at the returned greeting from the younger wolf. Why? Why not - she was happy, she was calm, she was relaxed. It seems the other wolf wanted to be friendly as well, though a bit tense... but that was alright. She gave the other a reassuring smile, before answering. "I'm here to see what herbs are on the island. I'm a healer by trade. What about you?"
