If someone asked her what she was doing out here she honestly wouldn't have an answer. With the pack still on high alert from the last raid and now with her being in heat on top of it... Really she had every reason to stay safely behind the pack's borders. Normally she'd hide away in her den for most of autumn. For some reason today something got into her and she just had to get away for a while. She stayed cautious and was sure to keep to open areas where others couldn't hide from her very easily, but that did mean that she was out in the sun more. She'd probably have a sunburn by the time she got home, but hopefully it would be worth it.

It was nice to stretch her legs and get out for a short time. She considered going to find her brother, but in a way she wanted to avoid the disappointment she might feel if she couldn't find him. Being alone was a mix of relief and disappointment. Baine thought that maybe she would have done more with her life by now. She was happy to have been able to be with her family and help them, but there had to be more than that, right? She paused for a moment in the middle of the grassy prairie and looked around with a sigh. Maybe there wasn't.
