OOC: There is a posting order! Please allow Creedance to post and exit first, then Kaios to post and exit, followed by Kylar, the kids and anyone else may post once she is buried or whatever happens to her but please wait to the end!

Paws once more set themselves on Tortuga land. Toes flexed against the familiar feel of the rocky earth. Her pelt had dried from her dip in the springs, but a particular smell clung to ever hair on her pelt. Kaios. There was no mistaking it. Hell, she could smell him all over her. A slow smile tugged at her features. She couldn?t help it. It was still so shocking. Her encounter with the massive ebony beast. She still couldn?t believe what happened. Since when did she feel the aching need to give herself to him? Never. At least until tonight. It had been unforgettable, something that would haunt her thoughts for the rest of her life. She was still confused over the whole matter. What exactly had changed? She would probably never know. He consumed her thoughts, his sensual nips, gentle caresses, his pelt mingling with her own, his deep, husky voice

The winter night hadn?t lost it?s chill, seemly even colder now that she out of Kaios? embrace. Tonight though there was strange scent that clung to the breeze. It wasn?t uncommon for there to be wolves at the border this late, but to be so nearby and her not notice? That was uncommon. A growl formed in her throat, ears pinning against her skull, her chin tucking to protect her throat. Blue gems scanned the darkened landscape, no clear threat could be found, but he was out there. Ebony pelt bristled, eyes narrowing, her stance instinctively widened, and tail flagging out behind her for added balance.

Jaws parted to speak, but she never got the chance. A pallid shadow shot out from seemingly nowhere from her left, knocking into her with sudden force. The impact knocked the wind from her lungs, forcing a gasp to suck back in air. A snarl ripped from her jaws, fury burning in her eyes. She turned to lunge, prepared to defend herself, but it was too late. He was attacking again, his larger frame knocking her forcing away. Legs got caught in low branches of a bush, sending her tumbling to her side. Tucking her tail along her belly, jaws remained part, teeth bared, ready to grab anything that came near her.

It was in that brief moment that she got a look at her attacker. A look into deaths teal and golden eyes. His ivory face pulled back in a gruesome snarl, cruelty shining in his eyes. So this was it. She knew it. But that didn?t mean she was going down without a fight. His fangs connected with her flesh, a high pitched snarl that mingled with a yelp sprung from her jaws. Her fangs clicked together until they found purchase, jaws clamped down, head thrashing back and forth. She?d give him a little something to remember her by as she tore flesh from his body. Flesh was torn away, bones breaking, their sickening crack audible. Her hopes for survival pushed a howl from her lungs, ringing out for everyone to hear, putting the last of her strength into it, yet she called for only one. Kaios. Her defenses became weak, the snapping of her jaws less forceful, the strike of her claws hardly enough to break his skin. Muscles went limp, the only sign of life was her ragged breathing and her pitiful whimpers. The pain was unbearable, unlike anything she had ever felt. Her entire body burned, like she was on fire. Vision blurred, going in and out of focus.

The continued assault didn?t matter anymore. She was going to die. There was no possible way for her to recover from this. Kaios couldn't save her. Kylar couldn't save her. Not even the best healer could save her. Thoughts of her children plagued her mind. Kylar would take care of them. But they were all so young, she wouldn?t be around to see them finish growing up, to see their success as they climbed the ranks of Tortuga or whatever path they chose. It broke her heart. Minutes seemed like hours. She wanted to just die already. She wanted for the pain to stop, for fangs and claws to stop piercing her flesh, ripping her into pieces. Her breathing slowed, sides barely rising, vision blackened around the edges. So this is how she would die. Murdered.

ooc: She's not dead yet
"Talk here."

Blood. It was the one force that drove every aspect of life. The feel of blood roaring in ones ears, or the sound of a heartbeat- whether it was the first or the last that one would take. Figuratively, blood stained his pelt, the crimson tide of all his victims casted an overwhelming aura, shadowing him to be the deamon that he claimed to prevalently to be. If he was covered in blood of others, surely no one could stop him? If he was this far into the darkness, shouldn?t he live a little and enjoy it? He was going to burn in hell anyways.
Wrath. It drove him, the anger making his blood boil. It gave him a reason- a purpose. Anger was his primal emotion, one of the only emotions that he honestly felt. Anger at himself, at those who destroyed his life. Anger at Amaranth. Anger at life. Anger at whatever God, ruled the heavens for casting him into such a dark pit of hell.

Languid strides propelled his ivory bodice forward at a relentless pace, the wind ripping into his thick pelt, as he pelted through the eastern land. Paws thrummed against the ground, eyes burning with hatred. As to what had set him off, he wasn?t sure. Maybe it was the fact that everywhere he turned he kept getting reminders of things her preferred to forget. Or mayhaps, he just wanted to be angry. After all anger was by far an easier emotion to deal with.

The wind roared into his face, and he was soon hit with the musky smell of a packs borders. He didn?t care, he crossed the borders with fury. Ivory form slammed into a dark wolf, scent telling him she was female. He snarled, the sound feral and tearing from his throat as he bit into her, thrashing his head, tearing her flesh. Her blood met his jaws, and it soothed his anger, though his attack was taken over by blood-lust- the need to kill her. He needed to kill her. He needed the taste of her in his mouth. Pain laced through him, only fueling his need for her, as she tore into him. She was a fighter- he?d never forget this one.

Crashing, her carried them to the ground, his jaws ripping back, taking with them a chunk of flesh. Whimpers were all the he could hear, and as he zoned back in to his victim, he let out a chuckle. He pushed himself to stand above her, and stared down at her noting her defining blue eyes. He ripped into her, canines closing on the flesh of her underbelly, and pulling. Jaws snapped hard around his victims legs, crunching into the bones. He enjoyed the snapping, the sound of the bones breaking in the flesh was like music to his alabaster ears.

He bit deep into her, teeth piercing the soft flesh. Leaving deep and gaping bite wounds in her bodice. He would rip chunks of her and chewed on them, swallowing, he reveled in the taste. He enjoyed it. Vaguely he reflected on his first victim here, a wolf from the north and how he had enjoyed her much like he was enjoying his current victim. Burrowing his jaws into her belly, he searched for a particular organ, one that he had preference too. Clasping his jaws around her liver, he pulled it out, a sick grin on his face as he looked down at her, before tilting his jaws back, swallowing the organ whole.

He could see the pain in her eyes. He knew what it was like to be torn into. The fire that coursed through one as canines pierced your fur, the wish to die- so it would all end. He understood, but he didn?t care. Stepping away from her, her blood dripping from his jaws, he looked at her with a slight smile before speaking.

?I know how you feel right now. You want to die, but if you wouldn?t mind, I?d quite enjoy to finish my meal while you are alive.? His words were low, a growl, the tone serious though something akin to amusement glimmered in his two-toned eyes. Turning his jaws, he bit into her shoulder, peeling some of the flesh from the joint with a chuckle. The flesh slid easily down, and the taste was so taboo, but so excellent. Licking his lips, he backed away from her, standing to watch her. Perhaps, this is what had damned him to the deepest depths of hell, he had enjoyed it. Every whimper she expressed was like ecstasy, orgasmic in its pleasure as the sound sang through his audits. This was better than any fuck he had ever had, he could choose this any day over sex. This was the best feeling? ever.

He left a mess in his wake, and the mess amused him greatly. He wondered who would be the first one to find her- and what they would see. Would she be alive to great that person? If he was a prayer, he?d pray it would be so. He wondered what she would say? Would she utter sentiments like his others? Would she curse her existence into hell? Would she be greeted be a lover? Oh, how he longed to stay around and watch his handi-work unfold.

He hadn?t planned this. No, he didn?t wake up today craving the taste of another in his mouth. That was simply a bonus, a surprise delight. She had simply been in his path, in the path of his insanity, his ruthlessness. A sigh escaped him, and her turned, stepping away from his meal and disappeared into the forest. His wrath appeased, his mind more focused. A laugh escaped him, as he thought about how ridiculous it seemed that he had to eat of another, to calm down. That didn?t matter now. The blood that stained his fur would wash away, and there would be little reminder in his life, of his meal. Paws carried him over the border, where, he, Creedance Voltaire, would disappear.

His mind was running wild. He had just shared an intimate moment with Secret, and the most intriguing part was, Secret had been the one to initiate it. He had fallen under her spell, just like he always did when she came around. Newt hadn't even crossed his mind, which was pretty disappointing since he thought he was in love with her. No, he knew he was in love with her, but it hadn't been enough to stop his temptations. Especially when it came to Secret. When they had finished she had went their separate ways. He assumed she was going back to Tortuga, and he was on his way back to Amenti. It was a pretty far distance, but he didn't mind. It gave him more time to think about what had just happened.

Just as his mind started to sink into deep thought, he was ripped back into reality. A distressed howl rang out across the eastern lands. Luckily he was still in the east, or he wouldn't have heard the call that was only for him. It was Secret. Powerful legs acted involuntarily as he sprinted as fast as he possibly could to her. He wasted no time, and when he started getting closer to where she was the sickening scent of Tortuga flooded his nostrils. "great, she needs my help in Tortuga. this will end well..." The fact that she was in the territory didn't matter to him. All that mattered was him getting to her. The minutes seemed like hours, but finally, he had reached her. As her fragile figure came into view he put the breaks on his run, slowing himself down to a steady trot. She was laying on the ground, and in the darkness he couldn't see much of her. "Secret?" Was this a trap? No, it couldn't be. He smelt too much blood.

The scent was tantalizing his senses, because no matter how much he changed the blood lust within him would never go away. He had tasted her blood before, and it had tasted so sweet, but now the scent was nothing more than sour. He could hear her whines as he drew closer, and within a few more steps he was at her side, looming over her with his massive height. She was completely covered in blood, and her valuable crimson liquid was still seeping out of wounds and onto the forest floor. His ears flipped back, and his lips curled into a silent snarl. He was starting to grasp what had happened here. Someone had attacked her in her own fucking home.

For a moment he said nothing. His eyes trailed along her body, and for a moment he wanted to taste the blood that matted her fur. But he wouldn't. He would refrain from any sickening motion that was plaguing his mind. She was dying, it was obvious. What could he do? His gaze stopped at her side. He watched her ribs rise and fall slowly, and he could barley pick up the gurgling sound of her shallow breathing. There was nothing he could do. She was going to die. Whoever did this would pay, wither it be from his fangs, Kyler's revenge, or Tortuga's resentment. Somewhere down the line someone would have their throat ripped out for all to see. He was sure of it.

"Secret... What do I do." His strong voice was broken. This had been the first time he had ever felt an emotion like this. His heart felt heavy, his throat felt clogged, and his eyes felt as if they were swelling up. He wanted her to say something, but he wasn't sure if she could. If only he was a fucking healer. Without processing it his body lowered to the ground. He was facing her back, so when he laid against the earth he pushed himself against her as much as he could. With his massive size compared to her he could practically wrap himself around her; and he did. The man who had taken so many lives didn't want to watch this one be taken alone. No, he wouldn't let her die alone. Not now, not ever.

His head laid flat on the earth, but as close to hers as he could possibly get. He could feel her breath shortening, and he pulled himself around her tighter; if that was even possible. Her blood stained his pelt, but he didn't mind. If anything his pressure could help slow the bleeding, but he doubted anything would help her now. His toungue slithered out from between his lips and tenderly caressed the back of her ears and skull. Everything he was doing was involuntary, because every movement he made was not processed. He was acting of instinct, which was something he usually did, but not in this way.

Who will be there to take my place when I'm gone, you'll need love, to light the shadows on your face

His words taunted her. He was making a meal out of her. Her body was being torn apart and she was helpless to stop it. It felt as though the torture would never end. His fangs constantly piercing her flesh. Pain finally knocked her out, body falling limp in his deadly grasp. Her mind drifted away from her body, images that couldn't have been real filled her mind. She walked in a field, a warm breeze teased her dark pelt. She was once more flawless her ebony pelt rich as lush as it ever was. Momma! A high pitched voice found its way to her ears, causing her to look around in confusion. A tiny black form raced towards her, coming to a clumsy stop at her feet. A pup. Sapphire eyes tilted down to look at him. An amethyst gaze stared right back at her. He was a spitting image of only one wolf. Kaios. So this was her little boy that she had lost so long ago. A smile tugged a inky lips. Crown dropped to nuzzle him, "My little boy." She spoke affectionately, whether those words were actually spoken out loud she would never know. It all began to fade away, sending panic coursing through her.

Lonely silenced blanketed her, only the sound of her ragged breathing to comfort her. Pain clouded her mind. It was all she could think about. She felt the world spinning out of control as the blood drained from her body. Somewhere far far away a voice called her, pulling her back to reality. She forced her eyes to open once more, meeting a familiar amethyst gaze. "Kaios." His name fell from her lips on a breath, barely there. She didn't think he would come, it felt like eternity. It barely registered how broken his next words were, how lost he sounded. It sudden warmth wrapped around her in a comforting embrace, his massive form pressed along her back. "Make it stop." Her voice was so soft, barely audible, but far from broken. She was going to die, there was no reason for it to be prolonged and painful. She would rather die at the jaws of her secret lover than a total stranger. Lids drifted shut, sapphire orbs disappearing for the last time as his tongue caressed her skull. Her breath hitched painfully. She couldn't hang on much longer, sheer will power had kept her awake for this long but even that was dwindling.Tucked against his side in a safe embrace, her breathes became farther and farther apart, more and more ragged, her pain filled cries dying out with every painful breath.

Could you make it on your own?

"Talk here."

He waited for her to do something, anything. It seemed hopeless, and he doubted she would hold on for much longer. Whoever had done this had the intentions to not only kill, but to make her suffer. He used to be like that, but ever since Newt had manipulated his mind he had almost dropped his sickening habit of liking to watch others suffer. He still got the urge here and there, but lately, the thought hadn't crossed his mind. Finally, he heard her murmur something between low gasps for air and gurgles of blood. He had missed her say his name, but what he heard now was all too clear; she wanted him to make it stop. She wanted him to end it.

He had never imagined taking her life, not even in his wildest dreams. No, if he would have done that, she would be gone forever. A soul as fragile as hers was bound to go to heaven, and he, he would be sent back to hell to wallow in the flames he had created. She was an angel is disguise despite her tough front, which truly made them star-crossed lovers. As you wish, my love." His voice was broken, but he managed to empathize the word love. He loved her, he always had. Funny, it took her dying in his arms for him to finally accept his feelings for her. Typical.

He had always imagined he would hesitate if faced with this situation, but as he lifted his head and body to where he was laying on his side, and still wrapped around her, he did not hesitate to splay his jaws open and grab the side of her neck/throat between his hazardous fangs. She was already severely damaged and suffering, so he wasted no time. His eyes clenched shut, his breathing slowed, and his body tensed as he felt her draw one more broken breath. Then, with a swift and forceful pull to his right, he snapped her neck. It was quick and painless as opposed to sitting there and suffocating her with his hold. He wanted this moment to be quick, and overall, painless. And it was.

He held her limp neck between his jaws for a few moments. For some reason, even though he knew she was dead, he couldn't get himself to release her. His body was still pressed against hers, and he could already feel her body becoming cold. Her side didn't rise or fall, nor did he hear broke breathing. She was gone. His eyes were still clenched, but not even the walls of lids could stop the liquid that seeped from the creases. This had been the first time the man had cried in his entire life, and it still wasn't a down pour. Just a three or four tears rolled down his cheeks, and when he decided it was time to let go, he did. Not only did he let go of her physical form, but his emotional connection that was causing him so much pain vanished. He felt numb.

He was brought back to reality when his ears swiveled forward toward the forest. Something was out there, he could hear it rustling through the bushes about half a mile off. Shit. He was still in Tortuga, and he wouldn't put it past them to believe he had been the one to torture her. He had indeed killed her, but not out of his benefit, but he doubted anyone would believe that. He pulled away from her, coming to his feet and standing before her. His head lowered, and he ran his nose along the base of her skull and down to her scruff, inhaling her scent one last time. It was masked with blood, but not even the matted crimson could ruin her addicting perfume. He wanted to smell it one last time.

And with that, the king left a gentle kiss on her forehead before turning away from his star-crossed lover forever. "I knew this love would end up killing me again." He whispered for only her to hear, though of course she couldn't hear him. She was gone forever. He took off into the forest toward the borders without looking back. His words may have been a mystery to others if they had heard, but to him it was all too clear. He was dead inside again, all the feelings Newt had managed to put into him were gone. He would become the ruthless man he was before. His intentions were on going back to Amenti, but his paws managed to take him into oblivion. He was lost inside.

Who will be there to take my place when I'm gone, you'll need love, to light the shadows on your face

As you wish, my love. Such simple words brought the faintest of smiles to her pained face. So this was it. The end. The end of a long life, filled with so many different emotions. Rage. Hate. Love. Passion. It was the best way to end her suffering, in her mind at least. Killed by the man she loved. She never admitted, and neither did he. Those three little words would never be spoken, but they didn't need to be. It had always been there, hiding in the shadows, hanging over both of them. And it didn't come out until the very end. Spoken in one short little phrase. As you wish, my love. Had her thoughts not been clouded by pain she would have noticed the brokenness, the love. Her heart broke just a little bit more. What if she had lingered in his embrace a bit longer at the pools? Would that phantom have attacked her? Or would those three little words have finally been spoken? Probably not. Only death could break down their walls, letting their true feelings show, even if for the briefest of moments.

She could feel the tension in his body. His hesitation. While he may have been a bastard throughout their time together, something always told her that he would never kill her. He was far to obsessed. Far to in love. They needed each other in the strangest of ways. Eyes fluttered open, sapphire pools settling on him for the final time. With a sigh her let darkness consume her one last time as she felt his jaws wrap around her neck. She wondered briefly what it would be like. What would be waiting for her on the other side? Heaven? Hell? She wasn't certain.

And just like everything ceased. She felt the momentarily coiling of his massive frame, the tightening of his jaws. She barely had time to register that he jerked his head to the right. There was a sickening crack, and then nothing. Her body went limp immediately in his grasp. There was no more pain, no suffering. There was nothing. He had taken all the hurt away from her. His words fell on deaf ears. Never would she know his lost feelings, the emptiness he felt after taking her life, even though it was out of mercy. He cared enough to take away her suffering with his own fangs. Never again would she walk this earth. At least in this life time. There was always the next. Death may have claimed her this time, but he couldn't tie her down. She would continue to live on, in her children, in this world. Everywhere. She would never leave any of them. Even as he lifeless body cooled, her crimson blood soaking the earth around her. She had left her mark. And would be back to leave it again.

-Secret is dead-

Pacing. Walking. Waiting.

He couldn't stop moving, ever since talking to Jupiter he had been back in Tortuga waiting for the call, waiting to go to the battlefield to watch the battle that would decide both his fate and Jupiter's. Half of him had been relieved that she had decided to take on Kaios, but after seeing that she had newly given birth... She had so much to live for. His children were going on 2 and could easily care for themselves but hers would be handed off to guardians rather then parents and raised without ever knowing their mother. And he would be the first to say that she was a mother that any child would be lucky to have. His feelings towards her had been growing ever since he had first met her, not feelings or love or lust or anything animalistic but something akin to admiration and loyalty was blossoming, something he had never really felt towards anyone other then his family before.

He found himself patrolling the boarders these days, wandering the perimeter of their pack lands although there was really onto one, maybe two ways up the mountain that was tell used. But still he wandered it all, the massive male lumbering his way through the shadows with head hung low and nose twitching at every scent. Wolves weren't meant to live in the mountains, he had decided that quite some time ago, but bears and big cats could easily come up the other edges of the mountain if they really wanted to. So maybe that was what he was watching for? No... If he was being completely honest with himself he was mostly stalking the boarders because Secret had left the pack lands again... After last time part of him wanted to say screw it and just let her do whatever she wanted no matter the consequences but another part kept reminding him that if he went off and got himself killed that his children would need their mother.

It was the strong scent of blood that first turned his attention back towards the main path up the mountain. For a moment he paused, lifting his massive crown and sampling the breeze. It wasn't just any blood, it was the blood of their own kind. Someone had been hunting... The scent stirred something inside of him that had been dormant since coming to these land, it made his heart quiver almost and pink tongue darted out to slide across his lips. Desdemona wouldn't be happy though... And if she caught this slayer rather then Ky then he would probably end up dead, the beast had been in the hunters shoes enough times that as he started towards the entrance his first instinct wasn't to chase him off, rather to maybe join him and then warn him about Tortuga's new morals. Ugh... They still made him want to barf, any other pack he would have been fine but to be in a pack, have leadership change hands so much and then to have them do a complete 180 on you was not a fun time.

It was the howl that made him freeze mid stride. Muscles coiled beneath his skin to the point where he almost began to shake. It was Secret, he knew that voice anywhere. His mind completely swept over the fact that it was tinged with fear and pain. He didn't notice the slight gurgle to it as her lung filled with blood. All he noticed was that it was calling for a certain someone and that was Kaios. That. Fucking. Bitch. Hackles raised and lips pulled back into a snarl as he remained rooted to his spot. Even if she was in trouble a huge part of him no longer wanted to have anything to do with her. He pretty much was hoping she would rot. After everything Kaios had done to her she had the balls to go ahead and call out for him? He did a sharp 180 and slipped back into the bushes. Maybe Kaios could kill her for him and then they could just be done with this nonsense. All he had wanted was someone to carry his kids, to carry his bloodlines and somehow he had managed to be stuck with her. Why he had ever bothered even trying to care for her was beyond him, obviously she just wanted to die.

It was almost half an hour from the time that she howled to the time that he had finished the rest of his patrols and managed to circle back to the path up the mountain. Something about the way her blood covered her coat and was splashed along the ground almost brought a smile to his face. He moved with practiced ease after that, first wandering around to differentiate the scents. Apparently one male had come and done the damage and then from the looks of her broken neck Kaios had done her a favour and ended her. He filed the smells away in his mind and then moved away from the body, not bothering to look at her as he found a small flowering clearing away from the rocky areas and trees and began digging. The soil was softer here and powerful shoulders didn't take long to destroy the top soil and begin his descent down. Why he was bothering to bury her he didn't know, maybe because he didn't want the kids to see her like this but other then that... He owned her nothing anymore.

It was another hour before he felt the hole was deep enough that scavengers wouldn't root her back up later on. The beast hauled himself out of the hole and walked back to the now cold body. He wasn't gentle as he grabbed her by the scruff and dragged her towards the hole. He dropped her roughly beside the hole, taking a moment to move to her already destroyed belly. One paw held her lower front leg down as he began poking around. He had to crack her ribs to get to what he wanted but soon he pulled out her heart. Once again, less then gently he pushed her into the hole, and then he sat, holding her heart in his jaws and staring down at the woman he had once considered his friend. But apparently he had been nothing to her, just someone to help her with her desire to have children, someone to drag around and toy with. One word followed her heart as it slid down her throat. "Bitch...." Bloody saliva followed her into her grave as he growled and set to work burying Secret. Funny how one thing, one little moment could change a relationship forever. For Ky, all those memories of play fighting with Secret or hanging out in the den when their children were young would be replaced by that single pleading howl calling out for Kaios.

He didn't wait around after he had buried her, heart pumping adrenaline and rage through his veins. No doubt he would regret everything about today later but for right now he needed to leave. So without another word or a call to his children he turned and followed the scent of the slayer down the mountain. He needed to kill something.

It was by sheer luck that she had been within the borders of her home tonight. She had been seeking out her family after her return from her latest adventure. She hadn't seen her mother in some time, and thought it might be nice to see her again. A brisk trot carried her towards the familiar land that she called home. Then there was an earth shattering howl. It was distant, barely audible. Yet so familiar. Panic frozen mid stride. Eyes widening with fear. Legs broke into a run, claws digging into the dirt, desperately trying to propel her faster. That was her mother. Breathes came in short rapid pants. It took what seemed like forever to cross Tortuga. Navigating through the dense terrain slowed her down.

The scent of blood hit, putting a falter in her step. Slowly her pace as the scent got stronger, cooled blood soon touched her paws causing her to jump back. The smell was nauseating, making the world spin around her. Verdant gaze searched desperately for her mother, but found nothing, only a pile of freshly dug up earth. Looking closely, she could see where her mother had been dragged, stopping at the grave. Tears flooded her vision, wetting her ebony fur. Thin frame trembled uncontrollably. What had happened? Why was her mother dead?! Legs gave out beneath her, dropping her to the earth. Scents swirled around her, ones that she didn't know or recognize. But ones that she tucked away deep with her mind, forever to be remembered.

There was something familiar. A scent. It lingered, barely there as though the wolf had stayed only long enough to bury her. Her father? It was so faint she wasn't sure. Why hadn't he stayed? Why hadn't he called them all together? Confusion muddled her thoughts. Pushing herself up onto shaky limps, she threw her crown back, letting a sad melody flow from inky lips. Her howl broke off into jagged sobs. She needed to leave. She couldn't be here. With one last look at her mothers grave, the young woman turned and fled. Paws being cut open by jagged rocks, more tears blurring her vision. An angry snarl contorted her features, lips pulling back to reveal ivory daggers.

Someone would pay for this. One day. She would get revenge for her mother. Never mind that her mother had allowed them to do as they please once they were old enough. Never mind that she was hardly around, only teaching them the important things. Her mother wouldn't be killed in vain. It was sudden overwhelming urge to kill that frightened her. The need to sink her fangs into something living, and watch the life fade from their eyes as their blood soaked the ground. It made her heart race faster, pound in her chest.
