Just Talkin' To Myself, Don't Mind Me
Kaitlyn was scared. She was convinced that no one could really help her. Baldwin had run off. Clay had his paws full with trying to help both Tempest and herself… and Kait? What was she other than a burden?
She stopped, breathing hard, the small female trembling from the rate she’d been pushed herself. She was tired. She wanted to rest.. But Mad and Proxy were relentless within her, whispering threats, whispering promises that things were only going to get worse. It was hard to tell if Proxy really cared what happened to the vessel… so long as she had fun she was fine… and Mad? Nothing he wanted made logical sense… his line of thought was chaos alone.
‘Go ahead and run, little girl…’ Mad’s voice mocked her within her head. She squeezed her green eyes shut, whimpering softly. “Stop it.” Kaitlyn let out a soft groan, her mind getting dizzy, and before she knew it darkness edged at her vision, drawing her into it’s embrace.
Only Kaitlyn didn’t pass out. Not exactly. She’d been drawn back into her body as Proxy and Mad fought for who would take control of the vessel for a period of time. A moment later, when those green eyes opened, the female’s expression had changed.
“Tough luck, Mad. Looks like I win this round.” Proxy puffed out her chest proudly, hearing the grumbles of her companion within. “Oh come now love, don’t pout. I’m sure you’ll be allowed out to play sooner or later. Kaitlyn is growing weak again.” The girl’s emotions played a big part in if her alters could emerge. The more overwhelmed and stressed Kait made herself, the more likely one of them would surface.
“My… what a dreary place this is… huh. Where on Earth has Kaitlyn gotten us this time?” The alter looked around, feeling unamused. “Gods… this is boring. Might as well see what trouble we can stir up, eh Mad? If you’re nice I might even let you play too.”

He had been tracking down a wounded doe trailing behind her at a space keeping her at a run. He was tiring her down until she got worn out, then from there he would take her down. His endurance had already carried him a good bit of distance, but the doe wasn't ready to go down and he was in no hurry to waste his energy running after her. The hunter's nose was skilled and he wasn't going to loose this hot trail. The tall lanky wolf trotted along at an even pace conserving his energy for when it would be really needed. Meanwhile his prey was wearing down by the minute and soon he would be able to take her down, though at this distance it would be hard for him to get the prey back home on his own.
Though another scent mingled in with her trail and soon a light colored female came into view. He slowed down as he approached her. He wasn't sure if she saw the deer, perhaps she did.
"Hello!" he called out. "You didn't happen to see a wounded doe come through here did you?"
He came to a stop a few feet away, her scent being carried in a different direction so he didn't get a whiff of Clay's scent that was on her.
“A doe you say…?” Proxy’s words were drawn out, interest flashing within her eyes. The vessel wasn’t hungry -- Clay had done well in providing for the femme who had done her best to repay his kindness by participating at the very least. Her smile grew more crooked as Proxy edged closer to the male. “Tell me…” Kaitlyn had started to shift off to her right, the male’s left, in an attempt to begin circling him.
“Why waste your time with food when you can have a new toy to play with?” Her tail swished back and forth, a cackling laugh escaping her as Mad shifted to the dominant position within the vessel.
“Yes, let us play~!” The body’s voice had become deeper, the vessel’s green gaze taking on a more wild look as he stopped. “Come, boy, won’t you play with us?”

His eyes looked in the direction in which he thought the doe had gone focused on trying to catch his meal to take back to the pack. It would be a fine meal to help feed the pack. He hated that he was loosing precious ground at tracking his quarry. His eyes looked to the female as she started to reply. Something didn't seem quiet right, but Frost couldn't pinpoint what it was. Even when she spoke of a new toy Frost didn't fully pinpoint the problem. He wouldn't think of any women as a toy and he most certainly didn't have roving eyes like some males did.
When the voice and look in her eyes changed he was taken back a bit unsure how to react. How should he react to this? Was this wolf just testing him? Frost tried to keep his composure his eyes studying her face before he looked back in the direction of where the doe had gone.
"I don't have the time right now for games, I'm just looking for a meal to take home to my pack," he replied.
“...although… if you don’t make the first move… perhaps we will.” Mad came to stop before the male, dropping down to a defensive stance. It wasn’t all that impressive stance considering her size versus his own, but all the same Mad prepared Kaitlyn for attack. Her fur raised along her hackles, ears pinning and eyes narrowing as he bent his knees at the joints. He raised Kait’s tail like a banner behind her, lowering his head to align with his spine.
“Go ahead and break this body, boy!” Mad snarled, lunging headlong at the larger wolf. Jaws parted, Mad attempting to close the distance first before attempting to clamp his jaws down upon his left forepaw’s ankle and sink in those little teeth. One way or another he’d get what he wanted.

Clay hadn't spent to much time in Abaven, but the bad news had been Storm had parted from the pack, her one daughter remaining. He had left Tempest at the borders allowing her the choice of to stay or go and then quickly tried to back track to were him and Kait had parted. The large male did not want to be gone for to long, the fear of that demon coming back for her still plagued the back of his mind. He did not trust leaving Kait alone for long when that beast was still alive.
He moved quick, his long legs covering ground with ease and his nose worked at keeping on her trail. He wasn't completely sure where they were headed next, something he would need to talk to Kait about. Clay had noticed that Kait had been a bit more quiet, but what he hadn't realized was the true extend of what was going on within her head. Truth was he had never really had encounter's with 'Mad' and 'Proxy' and really had no clue to the extent of what they did to her.
Though when he saw the two familiar form's ahead, her body language quickly alarmed him. The male he could recognize from anywhere, his own blood relation and he knew that Frost was a laid back character. He did not see an ounce of offensive body language on him. Though Kait's body went into defense, preparing for attack and Clay put his body into high motion. At full speed he ran, lowering his head much like a bull would, his eyes watching as Kait launched forward. Before Kait could hurt Frost, Clay barreled into him shoving him out of the way and knocking the wind out of him in the process.
Kait's teeth sunk onto his left front leg just above his paw, but Clay did not retaliate he just stood his eyes looking to her's searching them to try and figure out what was wrong and why she had attempted to attack his cousin. He didn't understand what was happening.
"Speech" & 'Think'
“I should say it’s nice to meet you… though admittedly you’re not nearly as fun as Lucifer. Perhaps Proxy and I ought to take Kait back to him, aye?” Mad canted his head to the side. “Unless, of course, you think you can handle us? You’re playing with the big boys now, Clay.” Mad straightened up to his full height, twitching his ears. “...or perhaps I am? Hahahahahahaha!” Mad’s body shuddered, the look in his eyes wavering.
“S..stop it…” It was a pitiful whine -- a whine that Clay might recognize as Kaitlyn’s own. But the look within her hardened once more as Proxy shifted in control once more. “Honestly… you boys need to be behave better. You’re going to scare our little host.” She flashed a smirk at Clay and Frost, the green eyes shining with delight. “...you can’t save her you know.”
