Long had she been dormant in her wanderings, but now she was on the move again. Ghosts haunted her dreams, those of her once family from long ago. The face of her mother, of her sisters, of her brother...all faded and twisted into something unrecognizable. They were dead to her. Just as she was dead to them, she was sure. Had things been different then, she might still be the sweet little girl that her mother had failed to raise. But the brutality of life and the truth of the world did the raising, and now she was a creature unrecognizable to those who might have known her when she was younger.

With winter slowly coming to an end, Nixie found herself in the lands of the place she once called home. But looking back, could she even call that home at all? Growling lowly to herself, she shuffled around the foliage in search of something that might make her dreams more vivid. Though what she wanted most was someone to help satiate her more...physical desires. But for now, hallucinogens would work to quell that. If she could find any.

The man stalked through the dense foliage, even here in the middle of winter it seemed the world flourished. Interesting. But that wasn't the most interesting thing for the man, no no. That would go to the small woman he had been quietly following. The man salivated as he eyed up the woman.

Nabis slunk from his hiding spot, and rose to his full height. He had let her put some distance between them so that his approach would be less predatory. "Looking for something little jay?" His tones were smooth as he finally drew her attention, he allowed a lopsided grin to pull across his face. There was a safe distance between them and for the time he'd respect that, better to help ease her.

Taking back the crown

A voice. She turned around to find a stranger had been following her, and she did not cower like she might have at being caught off guard. Instead, she stared at him without fear. Her small body stood in a defiant stance almost daring him to try something, dual toned eyes staring him down. "Nothing in particular. Who the hell are you?" She questioned. She had met many wolves so far, but she hadn't met this man. He wasn't really that impressive looks wise. He was tall, maybe a little handsome for someone with an average looking pelt, but he didn't have the colors that most of her family had. He did have eyes that matched the colors of her own, though his weren't blended together like hers. "Got a thing for following others or something?"
