Jupiter here need some fight training! Obviously he's too little for spars, but he's the perfect age for lessons. I was thinking about how I would go about earning him some skill points and an idea came to me. With all his interest in fighting monsters, it's only a matter of time before he gets interested in the real thing. Once he does, he'll be bold enough to track down and ask warrior types fight-related questions. So my question is, do any of you guys have good-natured fighters who would be willing to a) tolerate an obnoxious little boy asking nosy questions and b) teach said nosy little boy something related to fighting?

I know it's kinda difficult to do fighting lessons, so here's a couple example questions he could ask:

* How important are defenses?
* What are your favorite defenses?
* What is your favorite attack?
* What is your favorite combination attack?
* If you could only give him one bit of fighting wisdom, what would it be?
* How do you get over fight anxiety?

To make things easier I'd like to pick a topic before we start a thread and I'm cool with you picking one of the above and that being the topic either Jupiter picks or your wolf suggests. If you have another topic in mind, by all means, suggest away!

I am willing to consider predetermined spars and/or fights with older pups, but not adults. Jupiter can be obnoxious and it's totally plausible that he'd harass someone and get into trouble. I'm cool with him being the loser in disputes with older/bigger pups (must be at least one full season older). No adults, though. They can do more damage than I'm comfortable with him taking. As for pups his age, I'm up for predetermined spars/fights, but I'm not willing to automatically accept the loss. We'll have to talk about it.

ALSO! He needs intellect points too! I have some ideas for that as well, but I'm definitely open to suggestions. Jupiter has a monkey companion who can craft things, and he also does a ton of exploring so it would be nothing for him to stumble across something cool, so....

* Got an accessory you want your char to wear? Jupiter can find it and they can trade.
* Found a pretty rock you think would make a nice pendant? Trade some kind of goodie with Jup and Amadeus, his companion, can craft you a necklace (or bracelet, hair tie, tassel, etc.)

Not related to trading and crafting but I'm interested in nonetheless:

* Etiquette (he might not be the best student here, but it could be fun to talk at him)
* Teach him a couple words in another language, maybe?
* Feel like evangelizing? You might be able to snag his attention long enough to teach him something about religion.
* History! What happened to the hoomans? When did the land bridge appear? Anyone witness the plague? How about the volcano erupting? You can teach him pretty much anything in this department except family history.

So, anyone interested in preparing this tiny terror for world domination? ;D

-throws Russian Darya at him- She can teach him a few words and he might even be able to help her be more fluent in English. If he does get into some fights outside Dauntless I'd also be down to have her do some light healing on him if you'd be willing cuz she sure as heck is not a fighter.

I think nuada could be sassy enough towards him to have some spars. He could also give her lessons on the things he has learned from other wolves. As you know she's the same age as him.

Ahem. Ahem. I have Thys which I plan to discover how and make cider for Intellect points. Will the pup be interested to help? We can also trade it to other rogues after and get more skill points.

Also, she knows egypyian and latin so she can teach him words or phrases. Her religion is the ancient egyptian religion so she can trach him that too. And history? Ancient Egypt has plenty!

Amos would be down for future spars. He might be willing to teach Jup a little something although his own training wasn't as extensive as he'd hoped.

Lerato could do a lesson though. He'd totally be down although he has a hard time talking so the verbal conversation might be minimal at best.

Also if you wanted to do your jewelry idea, my new girl Echo needs to find her bracelet eventually. I think I decided she already had it but lost it when she washed up on shore, so Jupiter could find it and trade it back to her?

Maria - Ooooo yes!! I LOVE this idea! And while they're working on the cider Thys can maybe teach him some egyptian words/phrases? I'm assuming she speaks with an accent or sprinkles her english with egyptian words, correct me if I'm wrong, but if she does Jup is nosy enough to ask questions which could lead to a mini lesson c: That way we can get double points in one thread!

Monster - omg yes to all three!! I'm definitely up for future spars between Amos and Jup. I love, love, LOVE the idea of Lerato teaching him; If Lerato is cool with leading by demonstration Jupiter can do most of the talking no problem. And yes to the bracelet! Just let me know whenever you're ready for her to find it c:

Yep, we can do it no problem. As long as we do four complete rounds for each (and they can share posts; it doesn't have to be two separate sets of four rounds) we can collect points for both making cider and learning/teaching a language in the same thread c:
