A small blue nose pushed out into the open air, Darya frowned, all morning she had heard a soft dripping sound from the outside world and finally too curious to help herself the girl slipped from the den. So far? Nothing too different, the snow clung to her fur as it always did and the cool air of the mountain pass was as crisp as ever. Frowning again, the girl pushed her nose into the snow around the base of a tree. Maybe the snow was a bit more wet than usual? Backing up for a moment and frowning again she stared puzzled at the tree. Suddenly one of the branches above her suddenly bowed beneath the weight of the snow melt, dumping it's load upon the pup's unsuspecting head. With a startled yelp Darya suddenly back peddled, sneezing and trying to shake the snow off her head as she did so. Walk "Говорить" Think

Spring had come at long last and for once Sam had taken to sleeping in a bit. While being an early riser was his best trait in most cases he found it was harder to sleep in if you had parental duties to attend to. He could hear the sounds of snow melting outside his now seperate from lirika's den. He decided some few nights ago she would probably like the privacy and distance. While they were now friends with kids together, they were not mates and he didn't want to impose upon her. This also allowed for the kids to sleep with him and for lirika to get a break if she so pleased.

He awoke to the sound of a yelp outside and was quick to get up. He moved outside and blinked until his eyes adjusted and he scanned for why his daughter would be yelping. Though once he saw he chuckled. So she had found out how having snow fall on her was now something she would have to watch out for and deal with. He moved over behind her and sat. A yawn passed his lips before he finally spoke to her. "Finding out all about spring this morning I see." he had humor in his voice.

Da was here! All her dismay at having snow dropped on her head suddenly fled the tiny pup. Darya whirled around a big grin on her face. "Da!" She exclaimed happily and quickly pushed into his stomach. He spoke and laughed and Darya tilted her head to the side as she did her best to decipher his words, her English was getting better but slowly. He had used a word she didn't recognize. "What sprig?" She asked, her tongue tripping over the unfamiliar word. "Sprig- spri-ng?" She just couldn't seem to get that last part of the word right. Still she wasn't going to let that stop her. "Da, what is?" She didn't know what the word meant, though she guessed by his words that it had something to do with why the tree had so rudely dumped snow on her head. Walk "Говорить" Think

She pressed into his stomach and was quick to do her best to say spring. It was humorous to him. Their foreign language had given them an accent that made certain words difficult to say for them. He'd never caught on too well to the language as lirika taught it but he had did his best to teach them English as well. They didn't grasp it entirely but they were getting there. The problem was how did he explain spring now. The north didn't have a full spring until summer.

He thought about it though and decided to explain he'd have to start taking them southward more. "Spring is a time of year when the snow melts and goes away from the more southern parts of the lands and the weather gets warm and plants start to grow finally." he did his best to explain but he probably had only confused her.

Her father spoke of disappearing snow and Darya gapped up at him a slow look of dawning horror on her face. But Darya loved snow! Sure it was cold and wet and sometimes stuck to her but it was also fluffy and fun and made a satisfying crunch under her paws and she had recently learned you could dig a little den out of it and be all nice and warm, well until someone came crashing in. The girl had no concept of South or North so as far as she was aware that meant the snow was going to be gone from here soon too! She gazed up at her father pleadingly.  "No want snow to go! Da! Make snow not leave!" It was a reasonable request in her eyes, her Da was amazing, he could do anything! So surly he could make the snow stay. Walk "Говорить" Think
