[Mammon]Louder than thunder; Quieter than snow
She stopped after only a moment. Her nose was cold, and her ears were cold. She was pretty sure there was ice in her fur too. She couldn't even see her way back, the trees were too thick and the snow was covering her tracks. She sat and hunkered in on herself. What ever made Dar and Divo want to do this stuff? It was terrible to be where you couldn't see the den. Her ears pinned back as she tried to conserve the heat in her body. A whimper passed her lips as she thought of how she'd never get back. She might even become like the things Da was always bringing back.
A silhouette caught her attention and she quieted herself, unknowing whether the form was something to fear or not. This place was full of things to fear and she couldn't help but hope that just maybe one of her siblings or even her Ma or Da had finally come for her. Her blue eyes were watching with bated breath. Through the snow all she could see was the darker outline but hope blossomed in her chest.
Mammon was in a mood, she had been trying to get ahold of Levi, making the long trek back to their island only to find him long gone and his scent fading. Where the fuck had he gone? She really didn’t want to have to face her father right now so she was lurking in the nearby forest, close enough it’d not take her long to get to the white woman’s den if she needed too but far enough it wasn’t likely she’d bump into Sam. As a consequence she wasn’t exactly being stealthy, tromping through the forest with her head level with her shoulders, lips pulled back to reveal glinting fangs in a grotesque smirk. Brilliant blues were narrowed to slits as she marched, tail lashing almost cat like in her anger. So consuming was her anger that she nearly missed the scent of one of her young siblings, and she stopped suddenly, nose working to place it. There wasn’t any scent of either of the pups parent’s around, at least not fresh enough to be with the girl. She scanned, searching for the girl. Finally she spotted her a little ways off. Mammon took a few quick breaths to calm her rage, or at least manage it enough to push it behind a mask of friendliness. She plastered a friendly smile on her face and let her tail wag slightly. "Hey!" She called out, beginning to approach slowly. "Little far from home hmm? Want some help getting back?" Well that wasn’t creepy at all! Some part of her hoped that their mother hadn’t taught them not to go with strangers yet, that’d make her job easier. "Which one are you then hmm?" She hadn’t managed to keep all their names straight in her mind yet, damn woman given them all D names. |

Was she laughing at her? Like the big meanie would? No it seemed she wanted to know something. Dom wasn't sure what. She did recall vaguely the growls from someone as the big meanie made her cry by picking on her. Of course she didn't know he saw her submission as being a weakling and that he had few other ways he thought would help. He did call her a crybaby once when Da had stopped him and she was pressing into Dad's belly. Da was her protector. And if she remembered right, the voice that this sister had was as much a protector as Da. "W-wa-wan go ho-home.....p-pa-pwease?" her teeth were chattering again. She just wanted this nightmare of an adventure to be over.
