Come and play

It had been much too long since his last visit to this place. With all the rage that was building within him over things in his mind that he refused to acknowledge, he was surprised that he had not come here sooner to satisfy his need to let out the pent up anger. Although, he had not even ended up here intentionally - he had been fixated on hunting prey for the past few moons, killing other animals obsessively to keep himself occupied. But now that his paws touched the blood-soaked, packed down earth of the battlefield, he was glad he had found his way here. This was the perfect place to be. Now if only someone else would join him.
Ehrgeiz lifted his long and muscular neck, tilting back his head to let loose a howl that would echo across the wide open spaces of the battlefield. Then he stood comfortably, black-dipped tail hanging loosely by his hocks, nails digging into the ground as eagerness caused his shoulders to tense. Who would hear his song and come to play with the twisted beast?

little angel, go away! come again some other day The Devil has my ear today, I'll never hear a word you say. He could feel his eyes burn from the ingestion of his favorite herb and while he could think clearly, it felt as though his head were full of smoke. The new buds he had collected in his pouch were damn good and rather potent for the area, though he supposed it was from being handled by a botanist like himself. Still, the man was bored - and high out of his mind. It was a combination that didn't bode well for anyone during spring. Feeling as though his eyes were overly warm and his soul was on fire, the male made his way through what he had learned was called Boreas. It wasn't long before he scented stale blood on the wind, and like a shark he was drawn in by the sweetly metallic scent. Bright baby blue eyes were framed by the bloodshot red of his sclera as he turned his gaze toward a sudden call that instantly had his black rimmd ears twitching and his golden crowned head tilting back to answer the battlecry. Instantly, the male was off, his dark black legs a blur as he made his way to see this would-be gladiator. Once he found the older male, Riot felt a wave of surprise and shock go through him and turn his blood cold. Except for the scars, the male looked almost like the male that had thrown him and his mother from their home. A growl rumbled deep in his chest and he winced at painful memories that threatened to take him under a wave of red and dark. Save for the horrific scars on the male's left eye, this one could be a dead ringer for the wolf who had been a pivotal player in the way Iscariot was forced to live. NO! Fuck that whore and that bastard, they do not exist anymore...You made sure of that. He reassured himself, though his eyes never moved from the other as he sized him up. "You seem like you're the one who called, though I want to make sure." A grin spread over his face then, much like that of a crocodile, and he squared his shoulders. Tucking his chin and leveling his spine with the earth, Riot pulls his shoulders forward and spreads his legs for better balance and traction. The other male was much older, and most likely more experienced as a result, but Riot was aching for some fun. Would this supposed dance partner be able to tango? |

He didn't have to wait long for someone to arrive, which he was glad for. He wasn't exactly feeling patient, but then again, was he ever? The sleek brute lived life in the fast lane and he didn't have time for any stalling, especially now that he was counting down the seasons he had left. Not that he was old and decrepit, but he knew he was slipping out of his prime. He eyed the approaching male with his singular blue orb, wondering why the younger man seemed to hesitate for a split second. Was it fear? He narrowed his eye. No, it was something else, like the man had seen a ghost, but then came to his senses quickly. Perking his ears forward when the man finally spoke, Ehrgeiz began to grin as he watched the brute's brilliant blue eyes sizing him up. His would-be opponent was certainly a handsome specimen, so Ehrgeiz didn't mind being looked over, even if the male's intent was only for the purpose of a fight.
"I'm the one," he assured the brute with a nod, grinning widely, "My name's Ehrgeiz. Like what you see?" His gaze sifted over the drake's stunning, muscular frame, before looking back to his face. Ehrgeiz followed suit as his opponent began to ready himself for a fight, lowering his center of gravity, shifting his paws apart so that his weight was evenly distributed. Shoulders rolled forward and nails bit into the ground for traction. But his tail, it swayed slowly back and forth behind him as he eyed the brute. "Go ahead, the first move's yours," he offered, something he didn't do often, but it had been quite some time since he'd come across someone who's face he didn't want to maim, "Beauties first." Now the male might either be flattered, or irritated enough to make the first move; Ehrgeiz was ready to begin, either way.
